I don't think I am going to watch SD! this wek. Sounds utterly retarded.
SD is always retarded! IKIK.

That WWE announcement really sucks.

Too bad SD has killed the ideals that formed cruiserweight wrestling. That was the one thing WCW did really well (aside from the NWO angle) was the whole cruiserweight division, they blew wwe away in that category, hell even TNA's x-division blow's wwe's cruiser out of the water.
ive just spent the last hour watching byte this on wwe .com its the ecw edition. what an awesome show. they discuss so many thing and now im even more hyped about receiveng the dvd...fans must check it out

Thanks. I loved ECW. They came to Nashville once when Mike Awesome lost the title to.. gah, forgot his name. The japanese or whatever dude. Anyways, I think Rhyno gored Sandman through a table or something.. anyways, one of the TNN guys let us take part of the table. No blood or anything on it, shame. We had to promise not to sell it on Ebay.. and we haven't, and we never will. (We as in my stepdad and I.)

There was an ECW right in my hometown of Plymouth once, but I didn't go for God knows what reason, not that I really regret that, but it would've been kind of cool to say I went to an actual live ECW event. Never made it to a WCW event either, just WWE and independent promotions.

I haven't been to an NWA-TNA event and I live about 45 minutes outside of Nashville. I've seen ECW, WCW and WWF/E. I've met (personally) The Patriot, The Rock, Mick Foley, Jerry Lawler, and Owen Hart. I feel like a bastard because Owen had a color promo house show poster, and I took it. He didn't care, but I still took Owen Hart's promo poster.

I have a black and white promo poster (same one, just B&W) and it has The Rock and Owen Hart's autograph on it. I wonder how much it's worth.

DAMN. I envy you times 2 now.
more WTF! news from WWE...

Although WWE cannot officially make it a rule for fear of a discrimination lawsuit, WWE talent relations has the opinion that new wrestlers must be 6 feet/225 lbs to have a chance in the company; the taller and heavier the better. Considering WWE's best workers tend to be right around that minimum, many worry that WWE is risking not hiring the Benoits and Angles of the future.

honestly... it's about at that point where they're gonna drive away even the hardcore wrestling fans,
I hope the WWE realizes how stupid this would be.

How's that?

Anyone got info on WWE 24/7?

It's pretty stupid giving Cena a title when he's taking time off to film a movie. I hope Kane returns soon.. both movies are destined to fail.

You're right, Scorch. Further, it kinda kills Carlito's "unbeatable bad guy" heat.

Remember when a new bad guy would be introduced, beat everybody for a few months, challenge for the world title, lose, and then go to the midcard?

Imagine if they did that in 1/3rd the time it previously took.

Carlito has nothing now; if you saw the beating Jesus took at Survivor Series, he has no crtedibility whatsoever, except for looking like a Scarface character stuck in a Dick Tracy-colored world.

I picked the wrong week to not watch SD!: I even prevented my Tivo from taping it. I forgot that an regional wrestler was on, named Dean Jablonski, who I haven't seen in years. Dammit.

I'm sure it was a lacklauster segment.

myke.
I actually liked the TE contest with the Bashams. That was pretty cool.
like always i missed the beginning of smackdown so i missed the beginning of the contest but saw the end and dont think anyone made it passed the bashams....

anyways tna was awesome today guys!!!!!
Man, beyond Dean Jablonski, the Bashams were on!?!

Of course I missed it. Which TE guy was cut?
Good question they didn't seem to include that in the weekly spoilers.
Dude, that was one of the funniest opening RAW skits I have ever seen!!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Two of the funniest quotes ever!

You may not know this, Shelton...but you're African-American!

Everyone knows that African-American men are attracted to Canadian women with broken noses!

God I love satire!

They sure can be funny when they want to be. The camera work had a very "soap opera" feel to it, since the angle changed shots frequently. One thing that visually separates WWE from other programs is the difference in camera work when characters are interacting (other than in the ring).

Man, Benoit has no chance (so we can all be duped into thinking Orton will beat HHH in two weeks, when we all know Orton is going to win Royal Rumble and face HHH at WM XXI - ZZZZZZ), but I'm looking forward to a cage match tonight. With Benoit in command, it ought to truly be focused heavily on wrestling.

WTF!?!?! RVD is Samus Aran!?!?!?!

I want to point out that Gene Snitsky=Bruce Campbell. The Evil Dead was a serious Horror film, but it became incredibly popular because it was so campy. Bruce Campbell became an accidental hero because he was such a doofus.

Gene Snitsky is in the same boat. I hate him, but he's just so funny I can't stop watching.

Now Samus is a large breasted woman. What gives!?!?! What is RVD hiding?

myke.

I didn't get to watch the 1st half hour, is it Jericho's week? Why didn't he give himself a title shot?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's Benoit's week.

Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray lives!

Any coincidence that the same night Vince Russo leaves TNA it becomes the senior tour? Hall, Nash, Savage, DDP, Piper, Snuka, Luger, Johnny B. Badd!? Apparently it's the early 90's again. The X-Division is the only thing TNA has going for it at this point. Russo was all about pushing the young talent and giving them a shot. Nash will eat them alive like some kind of succubus. Wrestling is definitely in a serious rut right now.

Where was Jimmy Del Ray? I always liked him, because he was clearly one of the sleaziest, white-trashiest people on the face of the planet. The fact that he flaunted and embraced that made me want to see him get his ass beat.

Dr. Tom, on the other hand, sold out to be a BodyDonna.

myke.

HAW HAW!

Ric Flair: "You'll be P'WNED!!!11!!"

It's lame, but Batista is showing some nice character development tonight. Shame he's miserable between rings of the bell.

myke.
...was Flair showing his age when he said "You're gonna see a lawsuit bigger than Dallas!"

Batista is freakin' awesome.

Flair is showing his age when he shows himself. I must be honest.. I thought they'd tease a face turn then have him come out and help Triple H in the main event.

I have no idea where Del Ray was or is. It was just the mention of the Bodydonnas that I loved. That ridiculous bump-n-grind he did never failed to crack me up. He would've fit in with the Freebirds real well.

Scorch - if by 'him' you mean Batista, I agree. Especially since it's been four weeks or so since they did it with Flair, the writers are likely to think we have forgotten about it.

Man, what's with JR's throwback references tonight? Not only the BodyDonnas, but Dynamite Kid as well? Ha. "Tommy Billlington," JR says it like he's waxing the nostalgic about the kid who mows his grass.

myke.

I didn't see any Hassan/Daivari skits tonight. This is great news!

Although I did spend some time doing dishes. Can someone else confirm that there was no promo?

Please let them have killed off that idea. Pleasepleaseplease.

myke.

I do like the Battle Royal idea, though. Shame HHH will win.

Anyone have a clip of the raw opening tonight? I read about it, but I was pre-occupied and had to work all night so I missed raw entirely unfortunately. Won't miss next week though, when Randy Orton is the GM, I had him pegged for week 4, but Jericho makes a good curtain call as well.

oh the video is already up on WWE.com so nevermind that, also did anyone hear about Bob Holly? Yeah, looks like he's decided he doesn't want to work for WWE anymore, what a fuckwad. If he doesn't get fired I hope someone such as Kurt Angle or Big Show teaches him a lesson and beats his sorry ass in a match "shoot" style, just how Holly likes it.

I'm pretty sure he did a promo tonight.

Fans sent in reports from last night’s SmackDown house show in Syracuse. During the Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas verses Kenzo Suziki & Rene Dupree match, Holly approached Dupree and delivered some really stiff shots to him outside of the ring, right in front of the crowd ringside. Holly then delivered what one fan called “one of the stiffest chair shots in the history of chair shots” which sent Dupree down to the ground. As Dupree lay pummeled on the floor, Holly got down, mounted Dupree and began punching him repeatedly. Another fan describes the punches saying, “The punches were real, I could hear the smack of the fist to Dupree’s face in the second row.”

After Holly got off of Dupree, Rene quickly stumbled to the time keeper’s table, snatched his title and scurried backstage, with Holly chasing right after him. Suziki finally gets the pin, but after the match security and Fit Finley were ringside discussing what happened. There was apparently a scuffle between Holly and Dupree backstage.

Now, the back story we’re getting is that Dupree reportedly got a traffic ticket in a car rented in Holly’s name. Holly had to fly to another city and take care of the ticket, so he felt it necessary to express his disapproval of this problem by beating up Dupree during their match.

What a jackass. I hope Baldcore gets fired.

Hardcore Holly is an ass, its amazing he's had a job this long.

For once I had the willpower not to attend Raw yesterday, which worked out nicely since I was able to put the money towards the last comic standing event coming next week.

Prediction for next weeks rumble(sorry, battle royal): Coach

It's hollys fault my new favorite wrestler Carlito Carribean Cool had to lose the belt in such a stupid way cuz Holly injured him at a House Show. I think the only time he was good was when he wsa in those Hardcore matches cuz dudes hitting each other wit chairs and stuff is always good.
