So, generally, the Jarrett/Joe match sounds like the usual TNA clusterfuck. The fact that you listed three things that 'protected' Joe, only one of which should be occurring in a normal match, isn't a great sign. Just saying.

I still don't understand the point of the whole MMA thing to begin with. With Joe and Angle, it was fine because it was taken seriously. That made it worthwhile. Now they're using it in a less serious manner, which probably isn't the best idea for something that is A) stomping your industry as a whole and B) on the same network you are, and obliterating you. It just kind of seems like Jarrett is doing it as a 'haha, MMA' thing, which is bizarre.

Newsflash, wrestling industry: You are not MMA. Generally speaking, your fans don't want you to *be* MMA. If they wanted to watch MMA, they'd join the millions of people that have already left you for MMA. So, you know, stop trying to even allude to it.

I don't know, I just think that if they were dead set on doing on a Jarrett/Joe program (and, at this point, I'm not itching to see a Jarrett/ANYONE program), just have them wrestle. Take it seriously. If you want Jarrett to look okay in it, go the cowardly heel route. He, by all rights, should be destroyed by Joe in a one/one match-up, so make him keep finding a way to win in some sneaky way. Jarrett, if nothing else, plays a good cocky heel. It seems easy enough... but, no, we're doing some pseudo-comedy-MMA shit.

Quick question; did they finally do away with the spinner? A friend of mine said that Miz either has a new belt or is getting one soon, but I'm thinking it's just BS.

As shallow as it sounds, I'd take the WWE Champioship with just a tad bit more credibility if they finally dropped the damned belt.

Unless something changes tonight, Miz still has the spinner. I'd be shocked if they dropped it, even though it'd easily be my moment of the year.

I haven't seen any rumors recently about new belts, either, for what it's worth. Tag titles can come out of nowhere, but I'd be really surprised if they could keep a new WWE title belt under wraps, especially with the ire directed towards the spinner.

I thought the spinner didn't spin anymore....

And isn't it funny that when a guy leaves the E, everyone wants him to go to TNA. And vise versa?

I thought I read somewhere they already have a new one designed and ready just waiting for a chance to bring it in. I'll have to see if I can find that again. Granted the source probably wasn't credible but I would say most of the sites "sources" are ever all that credible.

it doesn't spin anymore... cena said in an interview on howard stern a while back that it broke when they used it in a match... so its stuck.

Meltzer is saying Curtis Iaukea died. I admit I haven't seen any of his actual wrestling, but I loved all his Florida/WWF/WCW stuff as King Curtis / The Wizard / The Master. Dude didn't make a bit of sense but that's why he was awesome.

"SULLLLIVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!"

"It's not hot!" 4 lyfe.

Yeah, it doesn't spin any more, but isn't it just easier to still refer to it as the spinner?

I'm fairly certain they actually had a new belt for Orton at whatever No Mercy that was where it went Orton, HHH, Orton. It was still the same design, but I was always under the impression that's when they introduced the non-spinning version (which, if the Stern story is true, is likely why they changed belts anyway).

Also, I sincerely hope that they don't have a 'new' belt ready to go if it's the same guy that did the Diva and new Tag belts. Especially when they have the Undisputed belt still sitting around. Honestly, looking at those two 'new' titles, is anyone excited to see what they'd do to the WWE title? Really?

On the latest episode of “Highway 2 Helms”, former WWE star “Hurrican” Shane Helms’ weekly web show, co-host Marty Gardner asked Helms who his least favorite wrestler of all-time is. His answer? Shawn Michaels. Helms stated that Michaels was one of his idols growing up, but “he really let me down as a person”. Helms then went on to really tear into Michaels, saying he believes Michaels is “the biggest hypocrite in the business” and that “his whole religious gimmick is a f***ing work”.

Helms said that he doesn’t discount Michaels ring work and says that his matches with The Undertaker are some of the greatest matches of all-time, but as a person Michaels is a “cock-eyed cross-eyed piece of sh**.

Helms then told a story about being so angry at Michaels at a show last year that he wanted to hit him, not caring if he got fired by WWE over it. Michaels was having an argument with Chris Jericho at catering and was verbally attacking Jericho, which Helms did not agree with. Helms did not explain what the issue between Michaels and Jericho was about.

Helms went on to say Michaels is “one of the biggest drug users in the history of the business…who has snorted more coke and done more steroids” than anybody else in wrestling.

:cold:

Helms is being self-serving here, and certainly petty/bitchy - but really, ask yourself: do you buy that HBK is a 100% changed man? That he wasn't a primadonna behind the scenes because he found Jebus?

If you think he's a "good man" or whatever now, that's the sort of thing a mark thinks. Dude is still Shawn Michaels. I personally don't care, as he puts on good matches and it's not like I'll run into him (and if so, we don't know each other, so why should I care if he's a dick?). Big popular millionaire tv personality is a prick? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO shit.

So by hit him, does Helms mean punch him in the face or throw a frozen water bottle at him when he isn't looking?

Tell us how you really feel, Sugar Shane.

I think at this point it's old news that HBK has a reputation of being both a remarkable worker and a political superdick.

Part of me thinks that those comments go along with the whole Matt Hardy loves fucking around with the internet thing.

Do you honestly think Joe will goto WWE and be put in some crap like Nexus? Or have to come in as a "rookie".. his ego is way over that. Just because Joe has jobbed some doesn't mean anything. He's been super pushed in TNA since joining.

Don't get me wrong, I never thought he was some beacon of justice or anything like that. I just never thought about the type of person he was behind the scenes. Not only that, but I forgot that he had found religion entirely.

For some reason I believe Helms 100%... also if anyone has that video of Bischoff and the ref I'd like to see it.. don't feel like getting the whole f'n show.

I think Joe joining Nexus would be one of the better possible WWE-related paths, especially if it ended up with a huge feud.. something like Cena/Danielson/third guy (Loki?) vs. Barrett/Joe/South African guy

Samoa Joe's titties are so big, one could re-sign with TNA and the other could join the WWE. Best of both worlds for all his fans that way.

.....NOPE...I'm not even going to post up Samoans who have regular bodies....

(Troy from the Steelers to quickly name someone...)

For what it's worth, Tyler Black tweeted that he's in Louisville (home of RAW tonight) and that "things are about to get interesting".

What's a Tyler Black?

Eh, I'll go ahead and watch Raw and stomach Miz as champion. I've suffered through worse anyway and the more I think about last week's TNA show, the more I begin to hate it.

In the meantime, I'm watching Wrestlemania 3 for the first time in its entirety. It's so strange to see so many musicless intros for wrestlers. And it was odd yet really fascinating to watch that opening tag match. Martel and the others were big guys yet they moved so quickly. I also noticed the constant use of the word "midget". How times have changed.

Line of the show so far by Ucker: " I see little beaver everywhere".

BTW, what was the point of having those mini ring cars to excort wrestlers to the squarred circle? Was it so no one had to walk or merely some gimmick?

You'll love Steamboat/Savage, easily one of the best WM (or any WWE) matches ever.

Because that would make you gay, right?

God, they already blinked and brought back the opening with Cena in it.

fuck this storyline.

fuck it so hard.

I think from now on instead of "can I have your attention please," Cole should start the GM's e-mails with "listen, fuckhead..."
God I love Punk.
What did he say? I just tuned in so I missed it.

Am I the only one who walks around my room reacting to the promos like I'm involved in them?

Edit: "It is all on the line here. All of it."

Also from Punk: "yeah, there's a lot of talent in the ring" responding to Lawler's comment about how talented Bella and Maryse were.

So, if I wear kneepads and John Cena gear front row to a WWE show, can I jump the barrier and attack Nexus?

Now Cena is assaulting people outside of the arena.

I mean, come the fuck on, WWE. Christ.

Seriously. 12 years ago Stone Cold was getting carted off by the cops in cuffs for attacking people when he was "fired". A little continuity wouldn't kill you, Vince.

Who was that big buy who came out with Tyson Kidd? it looks like the crossbred Luther Reigns and Matt Morgan.

Is that Jackson Andrews with Kidd? Last I heard he got poor reviews in his dark matches, so I'm guessing they jumped the gun a bit in bringing him to the main roster already.

Looks like it. He's got an abnormally tiny head for a guy his size.
