Just do what I did in Oblivion...

Break into some guy's house while he's snoozin', stab him in his sleeping back and steal his house.

So I bought 4 xboxes, sold three of them, sold my old one, kept one of the new ones, made fifty bucks and a copy of Alan Wake. Not too bad for about 2 hours of total work.

If you have never played Alan Wake it is flat out amazing. It was so good I beat it in a day. The Signal is weak, but The Writer is much better.

Or maybe you suck for not coming to the OTT?

On an unrelated note, so damn happy after today. Store's closed Saturday, and Sunday I'm off, but Monday we go back to normal hours. No more of this 9-5:30 BS.
I might have already asked this, but does anyone want that 250gb hard drive for the xbox that I have?
Old style or for the slim?

Old style, but you can pull the hard drive out and put it in the slim. You want it?

They were selling the old style 250gbs on woot a couple days ago for $49.99.
I considered it, but I still have like 40gb+ space free on my 120gb -- what the hell do I need another 130gb for. :)
Munch, your PM box is full. You can go ahead and sell the drive to someone else if they want it. Thanks for the offer though.
I'm on mobile and can't delete messages. Was that too much?

I haven't played Alan Wake yet. Should I buy the DLC while its cheap? Is it worth it?

Wait, do I get one of those free for buying the game? I have a voucher code but it's back home in Gainesville.

It sucks to hear that as I'm pretty sure it's a Christmas gift I am getting from my brother's- I was a huge fan on the TG-16- playing it a ridiculous number of times.

Christmas on Christmas Eve w/ the grandparents as usual. Somehow, all the children and shitty significant others got left at home so it was really fun. G-pa busted out the Wild Turkey Honey Liquor, all kinds of grub, few presents. Christmas as it was intended.

I played the Mass Effect 2 demo yesterday on the triple and was blown away. I can't believe it hasn't come to ps3 sooner.

I just can't swing that right now and I want you to get fair value.

Signal is free with the game, you pay for the writer. Neither is as good as the main game, but the writer is substantially better. If the DLC is on sale then go ahead and get it. Even sub par Alan Wake is still pretty good.

Edit: At 2.50 a piece anyone who hasn't played the DLC should.
Splatterhouse is a terrible, boring game. :[

I should've just picked up Enslaved.
Why trade one terrible boring game for another?

Merry Christmas.

Did your parents or do you wrap your gifts from Santa?

Mine didn't but my wife's do (and now so do we). This is terrible.

When we got up as kids our stuff was unboxed, assembled, sticker'ed, spring-loaded with their respective choking hazard rockets ready to fire and action figures securely seated and/or on their pegs. I really hate wrapping this stuff- it's so tedious and wasteful. Then tomorrow there's the unwrapping mess, then the repeated unboxing, unwiring, assembly, battery insertion, doll shoe and dress attachment and mountains of trash to deal with . . . I just want it done and fucking magical.

I wish my old man were here to hear me bitch about this shit- he'd be laughing his ass off. Time to drink s'more.

My bold review and thoughts on each song as I listen.

# PHONER TO ARIZONA
So little going on here I was bored throughout the song. The vocals coming in offered a small highlight but it quickly wore off.

# REVOLVING DOORS
Interesting intro into solid vocals. Tune stays interesting throughout. Much better after that yawner of an intro.

# HILLBILLY MAN
Ooo some more stringed instrument action. Oh another way mellow tune. No wait theres the beat. Very pre-programed on an old keyboard sounding. I like it but not a fan of whats going on with the vocals.

# DETROIT
Party. Very daft punk sounding intro. Lighthearted but not mellow or melancholy. Sounds like it belongs on a Katamari sound track.

# SHY-TOWN
Droning spaceouty type tune. I'm not in the mood for this right now.

# LITTLE PINK PLASTIC BAGS
Dial in the space ambiance atmosphere setting. I'll have to listen to the whole thing later its putting me to sleep. Not fair to the track.

# THE JOPLIN SPIDER
Woah. Crazy stuff going on here but I'm not feeling cohesion. Sounds like someone just discovered some new effects on their synth. Obviously thats not the case but it sure sounds like it. I don't like it no sir.

# THE PARISH OF SPACE DUST
What, a waltz beat? Well, easy to hear where they're going with this one. Ahaha oh god I was so very wrong. All I can say is why? Caught me off guard. I'm undecided on this one.

# THE SNAKE IN DALLAS
I'm getting deja vu here. Oh here comes the lead. I am distracted by the brass that sounds exactly like some stuff from Earthbound. That was short and sweet. Not bad for yet another chill tune.

# AMARILLO
Interesting start lots of reverb gives at least a little more depth than some of the previous tracks. Good mesh of synth, vocals, and instruments (if they're synth as well, well done on making them sound believable). I like this one a lot. My favorite so far for sure.

# THE SPEAK IT MOUNTAINS
Lol, this must be the speak it credited song. Oh, no shit its in the title -_-. Interesting start into a bland section, hopefully this picks up. It didn't.

# ASPEN FOREST
I didn't realize this track had even started. I guess they got their transition down from the previous track. Liking the synth piano. Not too bad.

# BOBBY IN PHOENIX
Ear catching intro. Ah. Well it is what it is. No surprises in this track. Its solid.

# CALIFORNIA AND THE SLIPPING OF THE SUN
More chill with nothing to help it stand out.

# SEATTLE YODEL
That's the end cap? -_-

Overall thoughts:
Nowhere near as good as any other gorillaz album, but a few standout tracks. Too much of the same sound in a concentrated chunk. Its too much to take at once with not enough variation especially after plastic beach which was all over the place. Its cool they were able to produce this with the limited amount of equipment but it really shows. This would have been cool to hear a new track at a concert. As standalones they'd be much better off. However, as plastic beach taught me I'll have to give it a few more listens. Maybe it will grow on me.

Amarillo is far and away the best track imo. Detriot is throwaway fun, the super fast jellyfish of The Fall. Snake in Dallas is solid all around.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa just dropped off all the presents under the tree for the kids...I must have just missed him!!!

He even took a cookie and the Pabst Blue Ribbon we left out for him!

intro sounds like fatboy slim, way bassy. interesting vocals, though the phaser/freq envelope thing they have going on seems unnecessary. maybe its their style but i don't feel like its adding anything to the music rather its masking the singer/s. as its going on i'm getting industrial vibes. yea the more i listen the more i wish they had taken a harsher direction with this i'm feeling the potential and its distracting me from what it is rather than what i wish it was, got to focus. its got a lot of variety though not tonal. its more like little treats for your ears as you continue through. light you know ethereal at parts that becomes grounded with low frequency sounds at key parts. its not bad but its forgettable.

Santa didn't wrap presents for us, but we did for our kids this year because our oldest love unwrapping presents. It's his favorite part. We're not going to do it next year.

Merry Christmas everyone! :)
Enslaved demo was so good. Idk if we played the same game, but if we did, ijmgifnjgsjfomksopgkdropjgrsjgfdtjhojrgirtjgfds
