Hey... I'm kind of strapped for time, so I will only list the major titles and the new titles that I noticed on the list (and re-highlight some awesome deals). The other thread was too much of a mess - this one is the definitive list of the blue light titles with all the correct titles. I will go back through if the demand is there and add in all the titles - for now these are just the important ones.

The other list is only about 50% right at this point, so don't bother linking to it, you are just going to confuse everyone.

The price I list is the price after the 50% off.

Sale runs from Saturday 9/17 to Sunday 9/18.

Chronicles of Riddick - 9.99

Zoo Keeper - 9.99
Tiger Woods 2005 and Madden 2005 - 14.99

PS One:

No PSP games whatsoever. The rest of the list is the crap that's just shown up the other 20 times (Baten Kaitos, Jak 2). Like I said earlier, if the demand is there I will put the rest of the stuff up, but all the good games are already listed.

If I didn't add it right now, it is NOT PART OF THE SALE, as all the hot games are listed, there's just another 150 games that are GH / shovelware I didn't list.

hmmm...mario party with the wave bird is tempting. Since i don't have a wavebird and the mario party games are the only one's my woman will play.

OooooOoooOOOooooo!!! I know where I'll be tomorrow...! Thanks for posting! :D

*edit* Should ask, are these expected to be clearly marked and such? I'm wondering about the games you didn't list... hoping everything will be marked.

Ash

can SOMEBODY PLEASE pick up Mario vs Donkey Kong and Dragonball Z: Supersonic Warriors for me? The closest Kmart is 50 miles away (go figure), and I really would like these two games... Please PM me if you can!

Thanks!

yes. finally. my sister has been awaiting a blue light special for a long time ever since i got zoo keeper for $10 way back when summer started. now she has her chance.

though i really really dislike dragonball z, i found the dragonball z supersonic warriors game to be quite fun. maybe ill pick it up...
The game was made for multiplayer. The campaign seemed like an afterthought. At 10 bucks I'd say it's worth it for the Live play alone.
that's what i was referring to....the multiplayer sucks...the SP was alright though...

If anybody can find a spare Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, I'd be happy to take it off your hands and pay a bit extra. Please let me know. Also, ChaosZero, I may be able to score that DBZ for you, I'll keep you posted.
I almost bought Outrun2 tonight for $17. Glad I waited. Thanks.
Don't do it... the game sucks!!!

Yeah, this deal is definitely going on starting today, although nothing was really well marked or set aside for the sale. My K-Mart sucked as far as the GBA games went. Only had Super Cuircuit on that list which I already had.

I did pick up though:

Xbox:

Read Ded Revolver - $10
Chronicles of Riddick - $10

GCN:

Viewtiful Joe 2 - $7.50
Prince of Persia: WW - $15
Baten Kaitos - $15

I'm going to go check out the other K-Mart on the other end of town to see if I can pick up anything else worthwhile.

The Kmart I hit on the way home from school had a bunch of crap, but I did pick up ZooKeeper for $9.99, it wasn't marked down, but when she rang it up it came up $9.99.

Thanks for posting the list Roufuss. By the way, does anybody know where we could get coupons or rebates for some extra savings? The prices are really good, but I'm sure we could all use some extra money off, especially with all the good deals going around.

A few good games on that list, now I have another reason to go out that way towards my friends house. thanks OP!

Is this YMMV? Neither the North Hollywood nor the Burbank stores knew anything about any Blue Light sale going on.

This was a good sale, prices actually came up in the register this time, game dept was much more organized and i was able to see what was offered eaisly. No mario and luigi for me, they didnt have any of the gba games listed, but i did get a copy of feel the magic for 14.99, price rang up in the register and i was in and out. Game dept. was empty in my kmart, i guess people are flocking to the clothes and shoes for back to school deals.

Well, I'm back from the other K-Mart in my area with a few more good games.

GBA -

Legend of Zelda NES Series - $10 (Don't think this one was on sale, but a good game none the less)
Bubble Bobble - $10
Harvest Moon: MFoMT - $3 (rang up as Tetris DX on register)

Xbox -

OutRun 2 - $10

They also had Banjo Pilot that rang up for $15 (don't know if that's on sale), and GTA Advance as well for $15, but I passed on both. Neither of my K-Marts had Mario Vs. DK, SMA 4, FFTA, Mario and Luigi, or DKC which were games I really wouldn't have minded picking up.

I think this one was the ultimate kicker. I brought up a copy of Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town for GBA (the newer version that just came out recently) and it rang up at $2.99. Apparently, it rang up as a clearance copy of Tetris DX on the register, but they gave it to me anyways. I guess Tetris DX is on sale for $2.99 if anyone wants that game. This wasn't some odd price sticker they scanned that was glued to the celophane on the copy of the game. It was the actual barcode on the game box. This might be a YMMV, or just some freak incident at this one K-Mart, but I didn't knock it and took it glady. Definitely the pick-up of the day.

Overall, this was a good haul with the games I posted earlier. Viewtiful Joe 2 rang up on my reciept at $7.50 at least at the first K-Mart I stopped at.

Not sure if this has been covered already, but is this sale going on in the new Sears Essentials stores? I am assuming no, but wanted to be sure before I make a trip. Thanks!

I'll go back later today and hope that it's just a combination of ignorant employees and a lack of signage, and that maybe they'll ring up discounted anyway, but I'm not holding out much hope.

I just got back from a Kmart in my area (Rockford, IL.) that is being converted into a Sears Essentials so they are having a clearence on all games. I was hoping to get the sale price and the 30% off that all games are at but no go. The manager told me that all games will come up at the lowest price be it the clearence price or as the advertised sale.
The good news is that when she price checked MechAssault 2 it came up as 13.xx. I told her it was on the list ONLINE. Not exactly saying where online but she just marked it down and Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom (I have a 6 year old son....really) to $10 anyway. I think that if you get there while the management are clueless about the nature of the sale you could score some good deals. Any PH or GH and select titles that are around $20. They have a ton of games there for all systems so get going. This is the Kmart on Forest Hills and Riverside.
I checked the Kmart on East State and they had cheap signs on the game display case saying that select games were 50% off, so at least they were aware of the sale. I asked the electronics guy if there was a list just in case there were some additions since OP. He promptly grabs the sign and says that it belongs on this craptacular Rubbermaid bin that they keep at the head of the department full of junk games, the idea being that these are the only games for 50% off. I look in the case and see Chronicles of Riddick (which I scored during the CC sale) and tell him that I know for a fact that it is 50% off. He gets that look of "Sure it is buddy, I know you're trying to score a deal but it ain't gonna happen, not on my watch". So he says in his best Customer Service voice, "Sir, I'll price check that for you if you like." I hesitated a bit like a was busted then said sure, why not. He opens the case and brings it to the register and POOF - like freakin' magic the game is $10. He feels stupid and I feel guilty for being smug. I just mumbled that there were other titles in there that needed to marked and left. So if you can get to East State Kmart there is 2 copies of Riddick.
The Sandy Hollow store had bits and pieces for titles but no signage for the sale. There were wavebirds sitting on the counter with the titles that are suppost to be marked so somebody knows about the sale but isn't marking it.
Happy hunting.

I just wish I could walk in with something more credible than "I read it on an Internet messageboard." Le sigh.

Thanks for the heads up! I got a bunch of console games that I wanted, but both the Kmarts in my area were wiped out of GBA stuff. I really wanted a Mario game. :(

Oh, well. Still made off like a bandit! :D

hah, K-mart sure knows how to advertise, don't they? :)

I went to the only non-bankrupt K in my area this morning:

*this might be worth noting*

They put a paper sign up in the DVD display case that said "50% these games" or something, and they had 2 stacks of about 20 games in there. So if you don't see something in the regular game section, you might want to look for that when seeing what selection they have. I saw a Baten Kaidos (sp?) in there, but I went there for GBA games, which they had NONE of that were on the list.

Oh, one other interesting find: they had 5 PS1 LCD screens on clearance for $26.

I work out in LI, and my gf left work early today.. i had her go to Kmart at Penn Station in NYC... the video game department claims they are not a sale store????WTF???, so she just left and didn't bother to check the prices there. she says they have alot of the items i was looking for in stock (FF Tactics, Mario Wavebird Bundle) if anyone finds out something otherwise for this location post away.

I'll try to head out to the Astor Place location to check it out if i can.

That's definitely interesting. Especially since the Gamecube Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful life had a barcode issue where it was ringing up as Waverace. Thanks for the heads-up. It's definitely worth a price check when I stop by.

They wouldnt price check my games today with the scanner, i was very pissed, especially when i waited 40 minutes for the employee helping set up some1s cell phone. i was majorly mad, but then realized i wasnt going to be spending any money, and they didnt have ANY of the GBA games. Can they really refuse to price check for me? Even if they are tagged, i should email/write to some1 at K-Mart. Best Buy and Circuit City are always happy to do it for me, oh well, its K-Mart, its dirty.
They wouldnt price check my games today with the scanner, i was very pissed...Can they really refuse to price check for me?
Definitely not, you should go back there while they're still on duty, see if they try to do that again, and then go get a manager to "talk" with the bad employee.

I would have just said "Ok, I'd like to buy..." and pick out all the games I wanted price-checked. After seeing the real prices come up, have him take off the ones I didn't want...if nothing was good, then I'd just walk out of the electronics dept without giving him a second look. My sales associate asked me if there was anything I would like to see from the display case at least 3 times.

Q: do you look like some underaged punk with not enough cash for a clearance GBA holder? That might have contributed to his attitude.

My local Kmart has no signs up and no section of half-price games. And they wonder why their stores are doing so poorly against their competitors? It's just goofy to have a sale and not post it.

What's really galling is that I wrote Kmart corporate through the Kmart web site once about a previous sale where they didn't have anything marked, and even got as far as getting an apology email from the store manager, and they still don't mark their sale games.

If that is for me, no. And thanks, if i ever need to buy anything anywhere ill just take it right up to the counter, if i have doubts about the employee(s). All they had that i really wanted was MK-D CE.

It sounds like someone meant to mark the harvest moon 29.99 but instead made a mistake and marked it 2.99, either that or it really was ringing up as tetris DX. I probably could have taken advantage of that if they had harvest moon at my kmart because the employee that rang up my game was pretty much clueless. They did have a list of games that were marked down sitting on the counter.

The games seem to just ring up in the register, so if you are interested in something, just have them ring it up, and if its not on sale dont get it. If its on the list on this site then it should come up in the computer for the sale price. If you are having a problem with an employee ask for a manager, all stores should do price checks for any item.

I just got back. I didn't see More Friends of Mineral Town, and Another Wonderful Life had the barcode correction sticker over it. The K-Mart near me didn't have much. I did happen to snag the last copy of Mechassault 2, and MK Deception.

Also, I picked up the last PS2 hard drive / FFXI for 49.99. I'm almost out of space on my memory card, and I figured this is only twice the price as a friggin 8 MB card.

I thought you couldn't use the HD to store saves; it's just for game content to load up faster...
