Okay, so Leedmess is quite charming and has a great premise. Picking the little guys up with your body and moving them to the goal is fun and silly.
On the downside, you can't adjust/turn off music or sound effects, and the music is annoying and balanced too loud. Sure, you can go through the Guide to replace the music with a customs oundtrack, but that's a hassle. Instructions before levels stay on-screen way too long and can't be skipped, even when revisiting/retrying the level.
More importantly, the game's Kinect tracking is sub-par. It shows a Dance Central-like window in the corner of how it's tracking your body. But sometimes it will randomly stop tracking my body entirely, with the cursor just going crazy until I hit A on a controller and then unpause the game. More frequently, the game just fails to follow what one of my arms is doing even though it shows up perfectly in the silhouette box in the corner. It's annoying because you need to save all the Leedmees in order to perfect a level, but the game sometimes won't adjust my arm's position in time or it registers me as making a sharp movement, which throws the Leedmee to its death, even though I was actually moving slowly and carefully. The problem is most evident when you have to bend down and pick up Leedmees from the ground, which works spottily at best. It's a shame the devs didn't hone the controls better.
I think the game is still fun and the co-op is very good. You just have to be a little patient with the control quirks in order to enjoy it.
