Um, excuse me but where is the demo for Duke Nukem??
You can get it from Borderlands GOTY (DLC on disc version), or preordering from Amazon/Gamestop. After preordering on amazon you can cancel. They send the code immediately.

This is exactly why I think the pre-order demo tie in are so stupid. 1. If you are pre-ordering then really a demo is not needed (most of the time). 2. If yu can just cancel the preorder then why even make people jump through this hoop? If you believe in your product then just put out the dam demo..ala.Infamous 2

You sure that's still the deal? NOt mentioned on the product page.

1st, thanks cheesebu for the info.

@fuji It seems like they decided to remove the demo because after reading the Amazon forums they were trashing the demo so hard and saying they weren't going to buy the game. I guess people are right to say that demos do more harm than good.

EDIT: I just checked my e-mail and the code is there. You have to go to a website to redeem it. My bad fuji

Debating on Bulletstorm with my $20 coupon from LA Noire. Demo was fun, but wondering how the community is holding up.
Heavy Rain was the most amazing game I have ever played; that being said it is not for everyone. :)
I agree for the most part. Heavy Rain is an amazing game that is not for anyone. If you were disappointed in the lack of action in L.A. Noire, then you will hate Heavy Rain. If you want a game that is almost all story, where you have control on whether each character lives or dies, and don't mind that there is little reason to go back to the game once you've beat it, then Heavy Rain is for you. I knew $60 was not in my price range for the game when it came out, but when it hit $30, I was all over it and it was well worth that price.

Heavy Rain started it and L.A Noire came up and finished it with pizazz. Solid game, I loved it. I'll avoid any spoilers of either but for anyone who finished both read below.
Isn't it kind of ironic Heavy Rain has you save a kid from drowning but L.A Noire ends with your character drowning?

Heavy rain was amazing. One of the few games in my ps3 collection. Not many games on ps3 that I've actually enjoyed but that is a game that I just couldn't put down.

$15 Gaming Coupon with Alice: The Madness Returns ($59.99)

$15??? Should have jumped on Amazon's $45 price (PS3 version), I was so sure that K-mart is going to offer $20 :whistle2:( I know $15 gaming coupon is nearly same as $45 (forget taxes, you're supposed to pay them anyway), but Amazon have the code for the musics...

Is K-mart going to have any freebies for Alice? T-shirt? Cards? Posters? Plastic knives? Tea cups? Just asking... Hey, I got the Dead Rising duct tape t-shirt freebie after reading a post :)

Wow, the week of 6/14 is going to be leaving me broke...Duke, Alice, and Child of Eden come out, then of course you have deals on Red Faction and Tomb Raider, might as well pick up Wipeout while I'm there...

Oh, then Zelda comes out 5 days after that...need to take like a week off work for this

Was wondering if anyone in here had PS3 move? I am thinking of getting it but not sure what all I need. Thanks to anyone who can help me, just send me a private message

It's similar to the Wii-Nunchuck situation. You need this or all of it's components separately. Some games will require this as well. It adds buttons and movement based abilities.

That's all you "need" but there are other accessories worth considering depending on what game you will be playing. Either the gun or the rifle for shooters

Wow..tough choices for my LA Noire coupon and 25 dollar giftcard...WWE All Stars, Bulletstorm, Alice, Ocarina...

with all that money you're spending, you probably don't want to take that week off

I would just wait until the week after & pick up the game for $35 instead. This is per Josh as the 2nd week of release, Portal 2 was priced at $34.99....
Same time frame and discount as portal

I feel like people who talk about reviewers being "on the payroll" have such a poor understanding of the enthusaist press that even thinking about discussing it gives me a headache.

Yeah OPM sucks. OXM is awful too, most of the US based magazines are these days. I always look forward to the new GamePro and EGM though.
They are all published by "future" and thats the problem. Got a free subscription with a game purchase from amazon last year, first 3 issues of all 3 magazines (NP, OXM, OPM) arrived together, so there they were filling up my mailbox, 9 magazines all water damaged. Beautiful Idaho summer weather... at least i knew it had rained somewhere lol

Their reviews felt more like a sales pitch on some games, and generally it felt like the editors felt they were better than the general population. Needless to day I cancelled the free subscriptions right away, they meter our trash and recycle and it wasnt worth the disposing fees.

I remember reading OPM way back many years ago back when it was under the Ziff Davis flag. It was really good. I got OPM last year for like 5 bucks for a year, and it wasn't that good. Last time I'll ever spend money on a gaming periodical while I have internet.
Thought it was $39.99?
Nope, it was $34.99, lower than the constant $39.99 "sale price" that practically every retailer has had for Portal 2 week after week lately.

Pretty sure it wasn't the week after release, it was TWO weeks after release.
If it was the week after, people could price match the difference since it would fall within the 7 day price match period. I guess technically it was like 12 days after release, but you know what I mean.
Still, I'll GLADLY wait two weeks to get the game for nearly half off. That sold me on Alice just like it sold me on Portal 2 (which made me motion sick in the first 20 minutes and I haven't played it again since...)

Yeah and then if you factor in that you're getting a bundled copy of the original Alice, which is no doubt going to sell separately for either 800 or 1200 MS points, then you're really getting the new Alice for $25 or even $20, with no coupon to worry about, just by waiting two weeks. I'm game for that.

Saw the trophy list that just got leaked for Green Lantern, looks super easy. Came to look for Kmart's deal and went awwwww... LOL j/k movie-games will drop like lead turds anyways, just hoping it turns out to be a decent game (at least on par with Wolverine which was good even if exceptionally buggy) because GL was always my favorite. Hell, I'm even going to see it in the theater, and the last time that happened was way back for Watchmen!

Thought they said that the original game isn't actually going to be sold separately, only bundled with the game.
Then again, a few months down the line ya never know...

Is anyone else playing LA Noire? I like it enough but I cant help but feel almost the whole game could basically be implemented into GTA V.

Like how they have the cop missions when you get in the cop cars in GTA. It could basically just turn into LA Noire type missions. I guess the facial animations maybe couldn't be matched this gen in a game like that but otherwise it wouldn't be too hard to do.

Oh well it's still an ok game by itself it just could have been more varied I guess.

I am actually planning on trading it. I played about 2 hours and was bored to tears. I think it's going to GS while they have the 50%...

I get your point. I was putting in three hours at a time when I first got it, but halfway through the game I felt I'd really seen everything the game had to offer. From that point, I played an hour and a half or so at a time. I still think it's an awesome game, but it really could have used some more variety.

Did you not know what type of game it was before you bought it? What were you expecting from it? 2 hours is an awfully short amount of time to give the game. Did you even get to the Traffic desk?

I think alot of people saw R*'s name on it so they thought it would be similiar to GTA IV with violence...not Heavy Rain meets R*

I loved the game, but there were some gameplay issues and repetitive stuff that hurt it a little.

But that said I loved it and now that PSN is up I'm off to get my DLC

I don't see how it is anything like Heavy Rain, Heavy Rain is a QTE based choose your own adventure. LA Noire has no QTEs, and it is very linear with no choosing what path you take. LA Noire was made by the same people who made The Getaway, which it shares many similarities to.

that is exactly how i played...the day i got it i played 5 hours straight and every day for the next week or so played for 2-3 hours a day but after that it just started to lose me. No spoilers, but after homicide the game seemed to take a nose dive for me. Even during homicide things started to feel repetitive...

also, just curious, has SHC announced the Zelda OOT deal? I am thinking of picking up a 3DS this month to play this and RE: Mercenaries!
2 hours is an awfully short amount of time to give the game.
2 hours is appropriate for any game. If it hasn't grabbed you by then, why waste any more time on it? I hear the last Final Fantasy gets good after you slog through the first 10 hours, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna waste 10 hours to find out.

I'd disagree. 2 hours in Homefront is very different from 2 hours in Fallout 3. In that time, I've beaten at least 2/3 of Homefront. In Fallout 3, I've just barely made it out of the introductory area and began wandering the world. 2 hours is not equal for every game.

LA Noire is a game that spends at least the first 30-60 minutes slowly introducing playing mechanics before it finally opens up some more to the Traffic desk, and the game really begins picking up.

While I understand a good game needs to grab the player, longer games also tend to have a slower and more gradual introduction. And my concern is less with the actual amount of time he spent, and what his expectations were. It just seems strange to buy a game and stop only a few hours in. It's a waste of money.

I understand what your are getting at with repetitive and it is the job of the developer to NOT make you feel like this but most games ARE repetitive. I mean COD you are still just running around shooting people but just in different place, God of War is basically the same button smashing. If you were not happy with the mechanics of the game or the stories then I get it but the idea a game is repetitive is not really a criticism for any game. All games have a play style and then basically try to throw up barriers that you must overcome using the tools they provide. LA Noire is no different but it really wants you be invested in the cases rather than the gameplay themselves. It is more about what is going on in your head than at your fingertips.
