Just to clarify; The "buy $120 in software get a $60 gaming coupon" essentially means we need to buy more than 2 games to get the coupon, due to 2 games MSRP'ing out @ $119.98, right?
Are thew new coupon going to be gaming coupon or is it regular coupon? Cuz if it is regular, i can likely add a candy bar to the portal/mk coupon for ti to be over 60.
yea. The 120 needs to be pre tax so two 59.99 games won't get you there.

No, two $59.99 games wont get you there but you can get a $20 game card for only $10 that will get you there. So Im just thinking of it as getting 2 games and a $20 card for 50% off. AMAZING deal!! THANK YOU!

Just as a heads up all, I tried to get $119.98 approved but it just wasn't in the cards. I'm trying to work out a way to get a round the cents variance thing but it's definitely been this way since all the way back from last year.
Kinda concerned to see Shift 2 coming out tommorow and have not really seen much press about it.
I think this is more EA pushing out too many titles in March. With this much compression in their lineup I can't imagine focused marketing being accomplished at a high level.

I guess I am confused. So if we buy Mortal Kombat, Portal 2 and a $20 gaming card, do we get $70 off?

I'm trying to be creative to get around the even number dealio; thanks for the kudos!

No doubt that you are always an advocate for the gamers and consumers, I just wanted to make sure It was a firm number and not a B2G1-ish style promo.

You would get $10 off and then a $60 gaming coupon towards your next purchase.

It could end up being a buy 2 get 2, all depends on now you use the coupon.

No. You get $10 off that purchase (or $20 if you buy two $20 cards, if Josh confirms it works with 2 cards in 1 transaction) and $60 off a $60 or more game purchase (not $59.99 or more).

Thanks for understanding, this is the closest I could get to a b2g1 :) Hopefully once it proves successful I'll be able to continue and refine the process.

mind blowing deal josh, I'm sure you had a hard time keeping this one under wraps.. the questions thats on our minds is what exactly is going to happen to those who can't find a psn/xbl card or that live in NJ? is there anything else we can substitute to drive the price over the 119 benchmark?

Policy shift! PSN/XBLA are on there way back to NJ. Trying to get them there before the start of this thing.

BTW, I'm also gathering evidence that all of the reports of them not being stocked across the country are actually false. Not that anyone is being deceitful at all! But it seems that upon store visits by some ops contacts, they are just not making it to the floor.......you guys know how that goes by this point.

Ok, yeah, I was counting the $10 off instantly as part of the $70. I just wanted to make sure that the $20 card would count towards putting me over the $120 threshold.

Josh, can we get two $20 cards for $20 or is it just 1 card in the $120 deal. Sorry for the questions but there are a lot of parts to this sweet deal:)

since you're here Josh, can we buy more than 1 $20 PSN card at the discounted price?

and we would only required to buy either MK or P2, not necessary both. am I right?

I do not know, it is a great question and I am trying to find out. You do not have to buy both.

EXACTLY! At the store I frequent, a month or two ago they had no cards to be found. I asked an employee and he found stacks of both PSN/XBOX 20/50 cards just sitting in a drawer. One can only guess how long they had been sitting in there.

Oh ok. I'll check back later if this ever gets answered. No rush.

btw, thanks for the great deals! :D

WHAT!!! stock not making it out to the floor? thats outrageous :whistle2:# lol, yes unfortunately we all pretty much come across one game or item that never makes it to the floor on time... just wish someone would check stock prior to release day. maybe thats something you can pass along to upper management.

Well Guess with this deal going to wait to get Tiger Woods and WWE All Stars for the middle of April which I am not complaining about since means I can get through my backlog a little bit.

About the $60 coupons... If I wanted to use a coupon to get a $59.99 game, it means I have to buy either a second game or points card to push my purchase total over $60, right?
About the $60 coupons... If I wanted to use a coupon to get a $59.99 game, it means I have to buy either a second game or points card to push my purchase total over $60, right?
Correct

I am thinking yes, you have to purchase two. However, I seem to vaguely remember back over the winter when coupons were around, I came across this scenerio and an employee was able to overide it. But im not 100% sure and I wasnt visiting this site then.

If we have to get over the 59.99 hump, I think I will just save my coupon for when(hopefully) the next deal like this comes along.

I already have picked out what I will be using the coupon on too and that will be in May when Lego Pirates of the Carribean comes out (Josh should do a free movie ticket with the purchase of the game), Brink and LA Noire
That would be extremely disappointing. It's not like these are silly little games, they're high-profile games with a long history. People have been waiting for a new Parasite Eve for 10 years, the Legend of Heroes series has been going back as far as the late 80s and Final Fantasy is, well, Final Fantasy. No, they won't sell like Call of Duty, but they've certainly got a devoted following.
Devoted following from 3 people? The PSP software sales base isn't high nation wide and as Josh has said Kmart has had significant trouble moving stock of most titles. People who buy PSP games just don't do it at Kmart. He can run sales, but those are the only weeks that the software moves which leaves stores with a bunch of paper weights filling up cabinet space. When you are operating on a budge you aren't going to allocate funds to your lowest market base.
And where do RPG gamers go to shop precisely? Ever since Josh started turning around K-Mart, they've been the go-to place for all gamers regardless of the type of game they play. All gamers want a bargain (well, except for GameStop shoppers -- but seriously, if they were smart enough to be playing RPGs, they wouldn't be shopping at GameStop.)
Umm...they shop at places like Gamestop, Amazon, Bestbuy that have had a focus on gaming sales for a long time. Kmart is still a new puppy that is gaining a lot of steam, but its still not the go-to place for most "especially" after the games go back to MSRP following a sale. There are unfortunately a lot of people out there that aren't aware of the awesomeness of the Kmart sales in the first place which is why the aforementioned stores get high 1st day sales at times despite low incentives. Heck, people buy new games at Target/Walmart and they never have specials on release.

HOLY SHIZZ JOSH, the 4-17 deal is amazing... That is, assuming that I can get MK Tournament Edition? Cuz I'm not buying MK unless I get the arcade stick. Can you confirm that K is getting some of the big boy editions? I'm in Iowa, and even if not every store is getting them, I'm willing to drive anywhere within Iowa to find one...
Great deals Josh. One question: is there any way to have the coupons be activated right away like the points?
Nope they'll be active starting on the following Sunday of when you get them (so starting April 24th for the $15/$60 coupon deal) and I think theyre valid roughly 45 days from that point.

Yeah that I know, just wondering why there is a delay in activation.
Yeah that I know, just wondering why there is a delay in activation.
Oh, that I dont know. Maybe because it was causing problems before or they want you to keep coming back to buy stuff you didn't really need.

In my eyes they should take the delay away considering the reason they put this in was to stop the people from return rebuying and using the coupons on the same titles. the unique coupon codes was designed to fix this i thought.

So picked up Nascar and Shiift2 for the Xbox 360, unfortunately the coupons did not print out. Of course when I mentioned it to the cashier, she looked at me as if I had two heads.

Sounds about right. Maybe the register needs rebooted.

Sigh, I guess its time to scan the reciept and shoot another email off to Josh or Ad monster.

Picked up 2 copies of Dynasty Warriors 7 no issues.

Also to the people talking last night about them not carrying PSP games: they had copies of 3rd Birthday as well.
Just got back from store 4146 in Everett, WA. I wasn't able to save the $25. They said the SYWR system was down. I'm not sure if the two are tied together or not though. I would imagine so, but the offer doesn't state as much so maybe there was a different glitch in their system.

Purchased:

Aqua Blue 3DS
Ridge Racer
Pilot wings
Just wanted to follow up and say I went back Monday after work and had a no hassle refund. The lady at customer service didn't question anything. Just did her thing and gave em $27.03 back. Totally painless process.

I have a question. I want to get MK and killzone 3 and a psn card, that will qualify for this deal. Then I want to buy Portal 2 and MvC3 and another psn card. Now will the two $60 coupons be able to be stacked. Because it would be nice to use both to get a 3DS for 130. Or are these coupons not going to be stackable like the rest?

I saw a bunch of people had trouble getting Street Fighter IV for 3DS. I'm sorry about that, the only thing I can think of is that since this was one of the last games to ship stores got it on Friday whereas they already had the EA and Ubisoft games for over a week and the Nintendo games all shipped with the hardware that the games coming in on Friday were just the last to get out on the floor.

It's our #1 selling 3DS game so far...I only wonder how well it would have done had it been out on the shelves for more stores.

Pretty decent experience. Picked up WWE Allstars, Shift 2, and Playstation Heroes and got all promo deals except the $15 WWE coupon. Other than that everything worked great.

OK, I figure with my current SYWR points + the coupon deal for April I can get $180 worth of games + a $20 points card for about $70 plus tax. Sweet.
