Regarding the 4/19 deal, we only need to purchase one of Mortal Kombat or Portal 2 to get the $10 off the $20 gaming card? The other game can be anything we want as long it passes the $120 mark?

The coupon split is awesome and makes this deal even better. My one remaining question is whether I can get two $10 discounts on XBL point cards, if I buy one each with MK and Portal 2 in separate transactions.

Yeah you should get $10 off each, but you won't get a $15 and a $40 coupon. You'll get two $15 ones.

Yes you will still qualify for the deals even when you use points. The register will automatically spit the coupons out when you hit 120 before tax. After that doesnt matter how you pay

Their is absolutely nothing noteworthy in the flier. I tend to get them on Thursdays. However this isn't unexpected as it is an "off week" as far as new releases go. Maybe Josh will do something through CAG or his blog though to clear out some slow selling titles
 
Im hoping for a good set of semi-new release games to go on sale the week of the 17th in order to make up another $60 on top of Portal 2.
 
Seeing as to how i've never had to return anything, I now have to ask, how do returns work with this new coupon process? Hand them the game, coupon, and the money's given back? Or is the coupon already paid for and that's non-refundable?
 
k after reading back 7-8 pages, i've stumbled into drama land about Gamestop/Kmarts employees and something about Joe f'cking off in the back room.

Humorous but i still didn't find out where the deal for 4/17 that everyone has been talking about (MK + Portal 2 + $20 psn = $130 OOP expense + $60 (15-45) gaming coupon)

The front page with Josh for upcoming offer is blank atm and the current ads/deals aren't indicative of the one everyone is throwing stones over.

anyone want to elaborate on whether or not this is a facebook (i despise) hush-hush?

On top of that save $10 on $20 PSN/XBLA points card with purchase of Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat. I'll post all purchase details on the blog later this week.

you only get $15 in shop your way rewards since there is a bonus rewards points today...the $60 gaming coupon deal isn't live until April 17 or so
 
Sheepishly- I just figured that out. Since I dont have a PS3 I didnt realize Mortal Kombat doesnt come out til then, I assumed peopel were getting it this week.

Kinda confusing having 3 places to look for info, all of which require digging through pages of posts. When I was younger, sometimes threads with thousands of messages would have important info updated in the first post.
 
That $120 purchase that gets you $60 in coupons is a PREVIEW of what the 4/17 weeks sale is going to be. So it isnt going to be in the OP until maybe the week before. This thread moves fast so if you dont keep up you will miss a lot, but that is one of the benefits of keeping up. You can ask to be spoonfed the info, but you will get flak for it. Almost like the people who keep asking the same question over and over, but dont bother reading the first post about how coupons work.

edit: "Correction". There is a whole post dedicated to how coupons at KMART work, its post #4.

appreciate it Salty, i don't have a facebook account, but i wonder why there's a split in info on two different site, i know facebook is a teen/young adult (the gaming industry's bread & butter) but josh come on!

case in point, Kmart should just open up a stand-alone retail that solely for games/small electronics...seeing as how that's where a majority of the recent sale spike is due to josh and the SHC team.

That promotion doesn't start until 4/17. But I have no idea if that bundle would be eligible.
 
Hey Josh I was wondering if you guys were going to discount the Mafia II: Director's Cut to around $20 or even $15, or Bulletstorm to $30 soon because I would rather get my Gears of War 3 beta early, and that way rather than from preordering at Gamestop.
 
I totally forgot about the E3 promotion until now. Though it's a certainty I wouldn't have won, since the only blog I have is the one here and it's neither highly visible nor content rich, it'd have been nice to throw my hat into the ring anyways. For grins and giggles, I suppose. Ah well, hopefully next year you all run the promotion again.

Meantime, debating what next to pick up. Finances could prohibit the outlay for a B2G1 such as it is on 4/17, but it'd be right shiny if I could get Portal 2 and something else so as to have LA Noire when that comes out. That "something else" though remains the problem, though. Not in the slightest can I conjure what to grab for that one, and if I can't find something worth putting there, it makes it much more difficult to bite. I'll have to see what comes out when in the next few. Time to see when Dirt 3 launches.
 
Just wondering if kmart will do preorder in the near future. I really want to jump on the 4/19 deal but the only game that is coming out within the 30 days that is worthwhile is la noir. I was hoping I can use the coupon to preorder something like infamous 2...
 
Think I made a wise choice in not getting Shift 2 and probably WWE All Stars this week. Makes sense I can get a $60 coupon in a few weeks then getting a $30 (20&10) now.

You can breathe easy now wallet.
