6/5 is very strong, that said, 100 off is ridiculous but I believe it is only to select members.
 
Some gamestops are not even accepting ps3 tradeins anymore... they must be desperate to clear out inventory as ps3 sales have all but frozen due to psn outage.

I did not know you already had both under your control since they never have same level of offers. I figured Sears just had their own buyers for their departments. Honestly I would love to see the KMART deals at Sears, if not 1:1 then have their own great offers to get people in the door, a shame that's not possible at this time.

Sears does have great deals on TV's sometimes. :applause:

Josh - any word of another round of coupon problem gift card processing? I know you got everyone taken care of yesterday but some of us bought the game late last night and didn't get the info entered until after you were done with all that. I just want to know if I need to go in the store and deal with it, which would not be pleasant I'd imagine.

I'm in no hurry for the card - I just need it by the time Zelda 3DS comes out. I just want to make sure it will actually happen, though.

I have barely even noticed... don't play MP on consoles at all.

But most people do. And for the bulk of ps3 owners or potential ones this has been brutal.

Yep. Just sign up at the store before you check out, then use your SYWR card on the purchase.

No, because I never actually found the LE bundle, and didn't want to hassle with hauling one of the big value bundles to a register, when I had no intention of buying it no matter what price it rang up. And I'm still not 100% sure that what Josh meant on the price checks, seems to be some differing opinions in the thread on that. Makes no sense to me if that is correct, as it would be a deterrent to a sale, but you may be right. And thanks for trying to help!

Went by my KMART (which didn't print the LEGO Pirates coupon) and it printed just fine today. I will return my extra copy tomorrow.

I hope this doesn't happen next week since L.A. Noire is one of those games I will buy and run home and play for as long as I can before I got to go back to work....

And? I know this.

They can't move any of them at all. They've frozen all restocking on used, so it follows that they would do some sort of clearance on the even harder to move used models, since they likely have a fairly large stock of them that's going nowhere.

i don't know about this. i, and many people i've talked to, are just using this time to play some single player campaigns. i mean, i went from playing bc2 or socom4 daily to sp gaming without a hitch.

i mean, yea, it sucks... but i think you're overstating it a bit. at the very least, there's no way to know your sentiment represents "the bulk" of ps3 users.

hopefully it comes back tomorrow, though.

I'd tend to believe that the bulk of PS3 users play multi player games, just the nature of modern gaming. Personally I prefer single player games and have never used my PS3 for MP. It's mostly sucked because I have a DLC code for mortal kombat that I can't use (which as my luck would have it was the first game I planned on playing on PSN). The other effect was I've been debating on which system to get LA noire on. With PSN down though if any major patches need to be downloaded I won't be able to access them. So this will be a 360 purchase for me.

You can still download patches on PS3.

Same here I usually use my 360 for multiPlayer buying Mortal Kombat and Portal 2 was one of the few times I bought for PS3 over 360. Mortal Kombat for Kratos and 3D and Portal for the included PC version. But now I feel stuck and regretful that I did not buy it for the 360.

Even though i'm not a huge God of War fan I liked the idea of the extra fighter and fatalities that come with Kratos that made it an easy choice for me. I am regretting it with PSN being down but truth be told I wouldn't play it that much online anyway and would mostly stick to the single player version of the game.

Patches have always been there. Still though it sucks when you buy a game and can't get the stuff that comes with the game. (Holding off on playing my copy of new vegas until I get the dlc pack that comes with it).

If you mean one of those weapons packs, they're pretty much all useless. You will find better stuff within thirty minutes of playing the game. Similar to when Borderlands from GameStop came with a special weapon pack at launch, the guns sucked after you did four missions or so.

Dude, same exact story here. I ended up buying a second copy of MK on 360 though. The dpad is much better on PS3 so I'll probably play it on that when PSN is back up. And maybe because of Steam on the PS3, we will get more free content than 360.

Also confirming that patches are up and working and have never went down. I've patched many backlogged single player games that I hadn't gotten around to since the PSN has been down. I don't do a lot of MP gaming per se but I used the PSN a lot. Keeping up with friends, trophies, and a PS+ subscriber for free games.

But for what it's worth, there's no reason if you were planning on purchasing LA Noire on the PS3 to not get it on there now. There's no MP aspect, period. Patches work just fine. And I believe the PS3 version even gets some exclusive content like Red Dead Redemption did.
 
Hey Josh, now that the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection has been confirmed for this summer, you think you could cook up a points card deal for Mortal Kombat then :D? I'll probably pick it up then when they have a bunch of DLC out.

That depends on the store. Both of the k-marts near me don't carry PC games, or if they do they are so hidden I never found them :lol:

Those locations are the Hazleton and Wilkes Barre PA Stores.

We have a handful of PC games in Berwick. Not sure what the selection is since I don't PC game, but I know I've seen some WoW boxes by the shelves with the cheaper games not in the cases.
Not sure if we'll see any new releases though. I'd expect WB and Hazleton to get limited store things a hell of a lot sooner than Berwick...
 
The store in Exton, PA has quite a decent selection of PC games. Sadly they don't seem to be moving all that quickly. I'm pretty sure it's gotten every PC release that has been mentioned in the past, despite the latest batch (Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2) being much delayed.

Does that happen to include the Rockford stores? And what is this new strategy anyway?
 
Witcher 2 is going to all stores, all stores carry PC games unless they just happen to be out of them but PC sells very poorly so we don't send a lot of copies there which makes it possible they are hidden in the case.

Witcher 2 is shipping to all stores on Monday (Atari had some industry-wide delays with shipping) and is pictured in the ad in case any store doesn't believe they get PC games.
 
I also am planning to get the Witcher 2 from the Chantilly, Va Kmart. I think they have their PC games behind the electronics counter in the glass case...
 
Any confirmation on whether the rock band bundles are ringing up properly?

Josh said he'd look into it, and a few others said they'd try today. Going out soon, wondering if I should stop in.
 
Josh, does Kmart currently, or in the future, have any intention of carrying Atlus games? I recently got Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for the PSP and can't put it down. I would certainly pick any more Atlus games up from Kmart if they were to stock any (Disgaea 4 in September?). I know companies like Atlus and others are kind of niche, but was just wondering. Thanks!
