If there is a $10 Coupon to use on black friday with the purchase of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on Thanksgiving, then how come it's not on the op's page all i see is for medal of honor

No luck with Apache at Store 3129 in Rensselaer, NY. Then had all the other new releases though. Picked up Assassins Creed Brotherhood saw NFS on the shelves as well.

Does the coupon bonus for apache apply the entire week or it only for release day?

As a side note, I don't know if SHC-Gamer passes along compliments but the employee that unlocked the game case and checked me out was quite helpful. Gave me a deer with a headlights look at the name of the apache game like he never heard of it but went and rechecked the incoming stock to see if it just wasn't put out without me even asking then double checked to make sure I got the bonus coupon. All this was about 5 minutes before the store closed so I'm sure he just wanted to get out of there. The reciept lists the cashier as Rocco but I couldn't tell you if that was his actual name.

Nice to see an older brand name attempting to bring itself back. I hadn't been in a K-Mart for a few years. While this store is pretty old, you could tell an effort was made to clean it up and make it look more modern inside. Hell of a lot better then the dreary dismal state of the K-Marts around here last time I was in any of them.

They had all of the new games, except NFS on the shelf. Guy said that they could still be in the back, but they were locked up.

Too bad, since that's the only game that I wanted.

Just got back from my local kmart (and yes, I agree with everyone else, kmart needs help bad...) and it only printed a 20 dollar coupon for need for speed on 360. Just to give you guys a heads up. in ST Cloud MN here
 
Went into Kissimmee Fl store, got NFS & Apache with a 40 and 25 coupon. Spent $45, got both coupons good for $55 total. Walked in, paid, walked out. My Kmart rules...

It's because the register hadn't been rebooted. The coupon will print off as $25 tomorrow just fine. You can email SHC and he'll send you a $5 GC to make up the difference, just have your receipt still cause he'll need info from it.

Also, I didn't quote the message but to the person who asked about (I think) the NBA Jam coupon not working until after the 28th. Josh posted that he set up next week's coupon as a new offer. So if you buy it this week, the coupon will activate this coming Sunday, if you get the game next week, then yes, it will activate on the 28th.

Somebody said that they got to the Kmart at opening and that the people were still turning on registers and TV's and stuff... Are employees at Kmart not required to come in like 30 minutes before opening? My wife worked retail for like 4 years at the same store and she always was scheduled 30 minutes before the store opened in order to do this stuff. I worked retail in a 24 hour establishment so I can't vouch on my end but I would think this would be a normal scheduling thing?

I'll be heading to my Kmart tomorrow to (hopefully) pick up Sly Cooper, NFS, AC:B...and unfortunately I won't be grabbing NBA Jam cause it won't be there :( Guess I'll be heading there this weekend to grab that game. Not sure what I'm going to use that $80 worth of coupons on though since those are the last games of the year I have any interest in. PSN cards here I come? Also thinking about grabbing EA Sports Active 2.0 since I bought the first one for the Wii and it was pretty nice. Have to ask the wife if she feels like she would use it or not since she'd be the one to use it more since I prefer long distance running as my exercise (drug) of choice.
 
Does anyone know if Kmart NFS has additional cars/limited edition like BB or GS?

SHC Josh, if the stores don't get their stock, my local Kmart said they would honor giving the coupons on Monday(hooray they know about the coupons! :lol:) when they said most likely to receive them. Would you make this a one-time exception or should I just follow up with my store until the end of the week?

That's from the OP. What does that exactly mean? The gaming coupons given out on thanksgiving day are only valid for the next day? That kinda sucks
 
somewhat successfully picked up NFS, Apache, and EA Active 2 for ps3 today. The games weren't out, but a couple of copies of NFS were on the counter (along with some 360 Apache's) so i knew they had them.

the 'somewhat' part comes from the service... unfortunately, the great clerk wasn't there and i got stuck with the mean one, and once again i got a cupful of attitude while trying to buy something. that said, the clerk, despite the attitude, is quite helpful.

I didnt actually ask anyone in store though. Had called about Apache, might try going back tomorrow and asking since they seemed busy so I didnt bother asking because I didnt feel like being completely ignored aka the KMart way.

The shorter blonde woman is about the only one who knows whats going on in the electronics department. I'm hoping they get the games out tomorrow so I can pick up Apache, AC: B, and/or NFS: HP.

Yep thats what it means which isn't bad considering the heart of those deals is the steep discount on the games so its basically a little bonus added on to the deal. I plan on buying Fable 3 as a Christmas gift for someone so the $10 can get me Dragon Age UE for $25 or Mass Effect 2 (another gift) + 1600 point card for $10.

Shes really nice and I always enjoy having her help me. I know you have talked to the customer service lady....you know who. how can one person be soo bitchy 10 minutes into the work day everyday????

lol that lady makes me laugh. I can't imagine how you can be like that at 8am, hell I can barely keep my eyes open by then. One time I swore she was going to have a stroke right in front of me. That was the day of Fallouts release when they made a huge deal about not being able to use multiple coupons. When I went back the next day so use the coupons after Josh set them straight I made sure she rang me up lol

Are you going to K-Mart tomorrow morning? I am pretty sure I will be around 9'ish so I hope they can manage to do their jobs and stock the games.

Unfortunately, the dispaly cases are rearing their ugly head again. There's just no room for the new releases. I've been able to get these deals but have noticed that the games for the last 3-4 weeks have not been in the case. The associates have had to go in the back to grab the games or they will have them in a box behind the counter.

At least the associates at my local store have become more receptive to looking for games in the back storage room.

:lol: Got the same look tonight when I asked for the game. But the light bulb turned on when I said it was a helicopter game that came out today. He immediately said he remembered seeing that in the back.

I know that next week's deals have already been posted, but is there any way we could get an Assassin's Creed 2 deal (either $10 type thing like Mass Effect 2, or if you buy Assassin's Creed Brotherhood you get $x towards ACII)? Keep up the great work!
 
Josh, a few questions. Is the DKCR promo only until 11/24? I need to know this because I was hoping to buy it with a red wii and get two $20 coupons and the extra $40 coupon. However, i see you have deals for any wii thursday and friday you get a $25 coupon. I know its silly but if it runs all week, would that mean buying a wii and DKCR game will get me $20+$40+$25 in coupons on friday/saturday? Just curious.-------- Also will games which have collectors editons(Fable 3, halo reach, Fallout, Assasins creed) and are getting discounted thursday-friday also get the same discount and the coupons printed? thanks for all the hard work and for answering my previous questions.

unfortunatly my kmart has not had any xbox point cards in for weeks (I wanted one when fallout nv came out) they have plenty of psn cards up front but only empty racks in electronics

Just noticed that no one has put up any kind of deal for Red Dead W/ zombie Red Dead DLC. that would be tempting considering the only current offer is red dead for $30 @ walmart.

Any chance we could see a combo pack for like $40.

you know the dlc disc is $29.99 and msrp for rdr is $59.99 so you are asking for $50 off

seems unlikely to me

also awhile back josh did mention some seal for the dlc pack (I think $10 coupon but am unsure)

ohhh i thought it was $15. my idea was to match walmarts 30 and then $5 off the dlc. yeah $40 would be crazy.

just looked it up didn't know it had all that dlc thought it was just the zombie one.

since red dead is one of the only games to hold the $60 tag so long this year. 30 on it seems reasonable. and then a sale on the dlc. maybe $30-40 for red dead w/ $10-$15 off coupon for dlc only.

Josh, could you confirm if this is correct? If I'm not mistaken this is similar to the Sly Collection and those coupons had the same effective dates whether you bought it the first week or the second week, right?
 
Just a heads up, anyone that has had a good experience at Kmart can post the information on Kmarts website to maybe get the employee some recognition:

I noticed Amazon is offering 100 "Bonus Points" for it, so it makes me think Activision is, once again, not allowing retailers to perform discounts on it so they have to find ways to get around it.

You get the coupon after you buy the game. And there is no coupon with that game.

Hmm cool, thanks for posting that. There's a few people in my store who's names need to be passed on. Had wondered the best way to go about that. Now I just am curious if they actually do anything with the names that are submitted.
 
the price is $34.99 without any coupons on both td and bf
however some games on td come with a coupon for future use on bf and in the op it lists those

Right...no coupon is required.

The coupon deals are for Medal Of Honor, Madden 11, Halo Reach, and Fable 3. When you buy those games on the days listed in the OP, a $10 coupon for a future purchase will print out along with your receipt when you make the purchase of any of those 4 games. (Note that if you buy those games on Thanksgiving that coupon you would get is ONLY valid on Black Friday).

There is no coupon deal with Dragon Age and I have no idea why you would think there was unless you just misread the OP. Pay attention to the OP here and not the ad scan since here is more up to date.

Yes, I think I know who you are talking about, she helped me a few times too, but I usually don't go in until lunch time or later in the afternoon, when this other guy, I think his name is John, works in the electronics department, he's helpful too.. the problem is they are not instructed to put the new stuff out right away so it sits in the back until someone ask them to check for a game...

Just a note...in this mornings email I received a coupon for 10% mygofer.com. The code at checkout is "friends"

This coupon is so nice that i am going to pick up hot pursuit for 58 (with tax) as well today as long as long as the 25 dollar gaming coupon is fixed. In my figuring, Since I will spend more money on thanksgiving there this month to pick up pursuit I am actually saving (about 5 dollars more in the long run) since 58 total now minus the 38 total on thanksgiving for hot pursuit leaves a remainder of 5 dollars. The total of how much more ill save just buying it today instead of black friday. :p

just wish the sly cooper was for sale on mygofer...

I too agree. The only, ONLY reason I continue to deal with the Kmart headaches is because of Josh. My headaches continued yesterday. I went in the morning and saw boxes-the gal opened one of them and it was like rock band 3 games and misc wii titles, and she said that the games aren't in yet, no reason to argue. She was still nice despite not knowing anything about what is releasing. Didn't want to argue, but asked why she wouldn't open other boxes and the reply was they aren't any games in them. So, I came back at 4 pm, and three, yes three employees standing around talking. This time the boxes have tripled, huge stacks of boxes blocking the gaming area and they weren't unloading them. I asked about the games, and the reply was "man its too crazy, you will just have to check back later this week". I asked about inventory slips, opening up some boxes since I am not here to browse but to give them my money. Nope check back some other time! I left pissed that on a release day, i drove there twice and because the employees conversation about god knows what was more important I wasted 10 bucks in gas, and more importantly my time. I debated on not bothering this week. Leaving yesterday I thought to myself, maybe I should take a part time job there just to make sure people can purchase games w/out issues....Man...So, I concur with above poster. JOSH is why I continue to deal w/ the headaches. Hopefully I can continue to deal.
 
What is wrong with mygofer? Why can I not instore pick up Hot Pursuit, Sly Collection. and Mario vs Donkey Kong DS, yet new releases like assassins creed brotherhood I can?

I just ordered the Apache Air assault on mygofer and selected to pick it up in store. Hope I will get the $30 coupon and save another 5 bucks.

Just buy the DLC on PSN/XBLA. It's only 10 bucks for PSN+ users or 15 bucks regularly I think.

She was still nice despite not knowing anything about what is releasing. Didn't want to argue, but asked why she wouldn't open other boxes and the reply was they aren't any games in them. So, I came back at 4 pm, and three, yes three employees standing around talking. This time the boxes have tripled, huge stacks of boxes blocking the gaming area and they weren't unloading them. I asked about the games, and the reply was "man its too crazy, you will just have to check back later this week". I asked about inventory slips, opening up some boxes since I am not here to browse but to give them my money. Nope check back some other time! I left pissed that on a release day, i drove there twice and because the employees conversation about god knows what was more important I wasted 10 bucks in gas, and more importantly my time. I debated on not bothering this week. Leaving yesterday I thought to myself, maybe I should take a part time job there just to make sure people can purchase games w/out issues....Man...So, I concur with above poster. Well, you all are all the reason I haven't said "screw this" I'm out. I completely understand the frustration and not only do I share it, I probably am even more so.

This job is my life's work, as sad as that sounds, and each offer, each buy is worked by the team so incredibly hard that to see the end game be such an issue is truly saddening.

I will say that based on yesterday's activity, it was brought up as a MAJOR issue in our format meetings. We'll continue to push it as hard as we can.

BTW, I think I received an email from everyone who purchased NFS HP yesterday :) Not complaining, thank you all for reaching out and I'll make sure you are taken care of. Lesson learned for me, even though an overnight update technically works, it may not work!
