Another wonderful experience at KMart in Conover, NC. The regular lady was not there, but the other associate was very helpful and worked hard to get my rewards card points to work. I ended up purchasing Apache and NFS for just $23 while receiving $55 in coupons for next week's shopping trip. I'm definitely sending those ladies name in for recognition. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences over the past few months.

"Launch day promotion only"? Wait, are you saying that the 2 x $10 coupons for DKCR is only available on Sunday? I want to use my SYWR points from my Red Wii purchase to buy DKCR, and I'd love to do this at the Kmart store on Sunday, but I highly doubt they'll even acknowledge receipt of the item before Tuesday. Hopefully I'm just misreading something here?
 
Picked up Hot Pursuit today, no issues with my coupon printing out. The associates at the store seemed confused. I asked to pay for the game plus the balance on my Mario Wii which was on layaway together, and after waiting for a while for someone to take me back they told me I could not, so I had to head back up to the front of the store to drop the game off. There was an absurd line at the layaway counter, so I just headed to the front to pay for my game.

Went back tonight to pick up my Wii. The bonus points haven't posted yet but it may take a while I realized. I lost my card so I ordered a replacement. They said 4-6 weeks, I hope it's on the shorter scale of that. Now to decide what to get with my points. I'm thinking Sonic Colors.

Your reward points are available for immediate use, so you'll have no problem using them on Sunday.
 
i cant remember, but did SHC say that there was going to be an additional deal on NBA Jam next week? I know the coupon was getting extended, but i thought he also said something about a possible discount...does anyone remember?

I know that. I already confirmed they are there. My problem is will Kmart actually have, or more importantly will they be able to locate and sell me, a copy of DKCR on Sunday. They have not had a good track record in the past. They typically tell me that "new games come out on Tuesday".

Pre-ordered Mickey today, they had about 10 boxes on display, pretty simple. (When I was looking for it I thought it might have been a larger box, didn't realize it was just the retail white box at first haha)

I'm still not too sure whether or not i'll be getting the RE or CE, cause I do kind of want the disc but meh..I guess it'll be a spur of the moment kind of thing if I decide to get it, since it's tecnically only $10 more due to the coupons.

No, unless specified as SYWR points usually expressed as like 25,000 points. So for nearly every deal you will get a gaming coupon.

No, the same offer of a $20 gaming coupon will be offered next week for it as well. It's not an extension of this offer per se but it's the same offer.

For those that preoreded Black Ops online and didn't get their bonus 25k points last week, has anyone had any luck with support in getting those points added to your account? I've been emailing back and forth this week, was told to try and call the SYWR support number, but haven't been able to get through the waiting line yet.

How long have you waited? I called and it went like this

1st time - 15 minutes, nothing
2nd time - 20 minutes, nothing
3rd time - less than 5 minutes

So if it's taking forever just try again..or do it some other time.

What I dont understand is the box that comes in has a big green sticker on it that says hold for 11/21, so how employees then proceed to hold it until Tuesday is beyond me considering the date is right there in plain sight.

Tried 3 times and gave up after 10 minutes each time. Guess I'll just try in the morning and hope the best. Currently at work so kinda hard to make the phone call. Tried during my dinner break though to no avail. =P

I did, to both in the south bay. The one on H St is much better than the one in San Ysidro IMO, although I still left empty handed. I usually go to the one in San Diego though as it is closer to me.
 
i just wanted to pass off a fair warning to anyone thinking about using mygofer to purchase a giftcard via paypal..

I wanted to buy a nephew a gift card so he can buy Epic Mickey for himself. Father got married and now I have more family so I want to see if playing something together might be a cool thing...

So I ordered the E gift card to be sent to my own email address so i could shop with him next weekend when it releases. It said the gift card was supposed to arrive an hour. Never got to me. 6 hours pass and I talked to a specialist from the chat feature under support whom took my number and said a gift card research specialist would call me back yesterday and let me know why I never received. Never got the call.

Today passes. No call. Talked to another specialist. No call again from research.

Yet the 50 dollar charge went threw fine via paypal and I am out 50 dollars for who knows how long If I to escalate this.

Just a fair warning....

At this point I would just dispute it with Paypal to get your money back.

Ditto. At this point, if it is a smooth transaction, I'll be in shock. Just trying to decide which location to take my chances with.
 
Just to chime in, my local store has yet to receive the Sly collection. I am going to guess it never got there, or it is sitting in the back, never unpacked. It probably arrived on an off-day, and they set the box off to the side. I've tried back multiple times, calling and asking employees. I am disappointed as well.

I stopped in on Tuesday and they had NFS: HP and AC:B, slopped out in the open, unattended, and sitting in buggies. So risky, it's not even funny, as it's the most unassumingly scary Kmart you could imagine.

I bought my copy of Sly Cooper, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: MLM, and Apache Air Assault just fine and all 3 coupons printed after my transaction. I would just do a return and a re-buy in case there was issues with the coupons printing, if that doesn't work I'd email Josh (SHC-Gamer) and he'll get it taken care of for you.
 
Can anyone confirm if coupons still print out at the time of putting a game on layaway? I'm thinking about putting Donkey Kong Country Returns on layway to get the coupons as I won't be able to pay it off until next paycheck.

Should i upgrade from a 250 GB MW2 Elite to a 4 GB slim (already bought a 250 slim HD) or get like 5 games?? (probably Brotherhood, NBA 2k11, Red Dead, and Spiderman Shattered and Need for speed)

Even with coupons it's almost more worth it for me to go with amazon.

At amazon:
COD: Black Ops and NBA Jam for about $84 shipped. Then Donkey Kong for $48 +$10 credit. = $134

At Kmart:
NBA Jam and Donkey Kong Country for about $86 +$20 gaming coupon
Black Ops about $43 after $20 coupon = $129

So given my situation it is $3 more or probably less than that with Amazon, but I'll get a $10 credit for it. I have Amazon credit so it would make more sense for me to go with them probably.'

About the same deal either way.

not games I'm particularly interested in, but wasn't nba jam a $20 coupon and donkey kong counrty 2 $10 coupons (with different bar code maybe) again not ones I was looking at but I thought I read it that way.
Edit: also black ops could be less by the time donkey kong coupons are active, often enough (not sure if always) new release gets coupon offer then weeks later price drop.
 
Can I get Shop Your way reward points added to my account for something I already bought? I bought a kinect on launch and was not offered the card. Now i have the card. Can i get the points added to my account? I still have the receipt :D

If you can log into the website they have an option to credit your account from receipts
 
Reading about today's events at the Bozeman, MT store from earlier in the thread. That's the K-Mart I shop at (think my name gives it away) and there are some issues with it. Electronics is NEVER staffed. The games cases, and the gaming area in general, are disorganized with the exception of a couple of rows where new releases are put. The rest of the games are just put in whatever row they'll fit or stacked up at the bottom and pushed back so that I pretty much have to get on my hands and knees to see the titles. Most of the discounts/clearance/reduced to $20 titles are still marked full price and it's a bit of a hassle to get somebody to come to electronics and find the keys to the case (which always seem to be somewhere they aren't supposed to be) just to price check a game.

My experience at K-Mart here the past few times has been to go back to electronics to see if the game is in stock, walk up towards the customer service counter (which usually doubles as the only check out line as none of the registers are open) to get somebody paged back there. However, during that walk if I find an associate helping someone else, I'll hang back until they're done and then ask them for help. All told, from time entering until I finally purchase the game, it can be a pretty time consuming process.

HOWEVER, in regard to the drama from earlier today, all of the associates I've dealt with have been nothing but friendly and nice...if a bit clueless about the offers and shocked about coupons printing out, but I've never had an issue about receiving or using them. I have dealt with one manager, Paul Dissley, who was a manager back when I worked there 4 years ago. He's a pretty mellow guy with a good attitude, but he doesn't take any BS.

And finally, from my experience, it's the high school to college aged people in Bozeman, MT with an over-inflated since of entitlement, who want something for nothing, and have piss poor attitudes if things don't always go exactly their way.
 
Just had a question for those who can answer:

I know that the Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection is a standalone disc, so you don't need RDR to play, but for those of us who do have RDR, does the DLC install from the disc or do I have to pop-in the collection disc anytime I want to play the extra content?

Thanks if you can answer. I plan on picking this up at Kmart if I can get my points to redeem.
 
if i pickup gran turismo on thnaksgiving day, is $25 coupon only good for black friday? i don't quite get the wording on that part. i don't know is it for all coupons pertaining to that one day special or all coupons in genergal.

The GT5 deal runs all week so the coupon will have the normal start and expiration dates no matter which day you pick it up. Only the games listed specifically under "Thanksgiving" in the OP give coupons that must be redeemed on Black Friday.
