Kobe Bryant trade?
You're kidding, right? How do you think Denver got Allen Iverson? New York, Eddy Curry?

I understand that the salaries would have to match in most circumstances, but draft picks can absolutely be dealt.

The Sixers would be a nice place for him because they're a team that actually has the space under the cap for him, without giving out an equal amount of contracts.
No, they can't. I didn't post that because I like to hear myself talk. Draft picks can't take the place of salary. That's why 25 teams are automatically out of the running for any trade if it ever were to occur.

Philly will never get him, because they can't equal out the trade value.

Only about six people have said this on ESPN and Fox Sports.
They fucking balls in the playoffs, that's how they choke. Also I will go back to this point. People keep saying he is a ball hog and he's a selfish player. Who the fuck else deserves the ball in LA??? Lamar Odom? I really think everyone should stop calling home boy selfish. He's doing what is nessesary to win games. I think LA did pretty decent this year for having a super shitty team.
QFT, if my man can make Kwame Brown look good on occasion, then he's obviously the real deal.

Like I've said again and again, Kobe to the Sixers pls!

Throw in a few picks and that looks like a legit deal, aye?
So Kobe will waive his NTC to go from playing with no-talent hacks in sunny LA, to playing with no-talent hacks in...Philly?

Show him where to sign up, I'm sure.
Well, there are a few reasons he might wanna come to Philly. Jellybean Bryant was on the Sixers, he was born in Philly, played high school ball at Lower Merion and they have a decent coach that will let Kobe take as many shots as he'd like, as well as emphasizes defense. Not to mention the fact that if Kobe came to Phila, Larry Brown would more than likely become our head coach again.

But since this trade is impossible in the first place, why we even discussing it?

Maybe if he dresses up as Santa Claus, perhaps he won't get booed as much too. ;)

I actually like the Atlanta trade scenario. Seems like the most interesting one (and probable).

Well, as well all know by now, even Shaq said that Kobe didn't run him out. It was all Dr. Bus's doing. So that's one argument all Kobe haters can STFU on now. As for him being a ball hog, look what happened in games 1&2 when he shared the ball. Look what happened in game 3 when he took the ball. They won. Even Phil Jackson said he needed to get more shots. Anyway, I agree with him not being able to do anything for 2 years. My concern is that he will just bitch and moan and play shitty basketball, then turn into someone I would hate. I also wonder, if this was all Dr. Bus's doing, why didn't Phil Jackson ever say anything?

EDIT: Altight, Kobe isn't going anywhere. *whew* At least for now, I can rest somewhat easy. Until the draft comes around that is and they do something about some back up for Kobe. MODERATOR... you can now lock the thread.
Yea the way Dirk Choked it up in the Playoffs. Kobe is pure clutch.
That's payed off for Kobe ever since Shaq left. Sure Dirk wasn't as dominant this year as he was last year in the playoffs, but I still prefer Dirk. It doesn't really matter since Kobe is all talk and retracted his statements about a trade.
Good thing to, as I'd imagine a lot of Lakers fans would be putting a gun to their head and pulling the trigger.
I was. But it was just a squirt gun.
