fuck man.. they should of resolved their damn problems already..

i wonder what vince offered brock when they met
WWE offered Brock a very low deal, which Brock used as evidence against WWE in their trial, and it reportedly played a big role in Brock winning his case against WWE, as it showed that their claim of "irrepairable harm" due to him working was invalid.

If Kurt Angle lives to see 40, I'll be surprised.
McMahon showing a clip of MLK, that's irony. Going back to 24 now.
Yeah.

Let's see how Cryme Tyme negates that montage.
god maria looked retarted doing that

Edit: She looks like an ass wrestling, too.

The best part about Raw this week is the only entertaining bit happened mainly during a commercial from 24.

Hardy vs Nitro is just about all Raw has going for it at this point, even with horrible (un-trained?) women wrestlers tossed in the mix, Hardy & Nitro still have great chemistry. I almost want to see them (Jeff & Nitro) unite instead of Matt & Jeff. Damn shame the feud between these two has pretty much gone everywhere it possibly can. The sad part is, they'll probably both be tossed in the MITB match at WM (assuming there's another one) and the IC title won't even be defended at the biggest ppv of the year.

"Donald"'s letter to Vince was awesome, and I loved Vince acting like he didn't care about the Apprentice, when that show is the only reason this is happening.
The sad part is, they'll probably both be tossed in the MITB match at WM (assuming there's another one) and the IC title won't even be defended at the biggest ppv of the year.
Par for the course these days. There hasn't been an IC title match at WM since X8, which IMO is part of the reason that belt has lost importance in recent years.
I'm loving this angle.

Hopefully it leads to Vince completely losing touch with reality.
Where have you been, didn't do that a few years ago?
Hopefully this is part of Carlito's rise to main event status.
Probably not. I have a feeling it was a one-night job for building up Khali... when they could have used this to build up Carlito. You know... because building up Carlito would be better for the company, and they wouldn't want to do that, or anything.
There hasn't been an IC title match at WM since X8.
Thanks. I was wondering that as horsey was hypothesizing the MITB match.

Haven't watched much Raw yet, as I decided I wanted to get in some serious side quest action in Twilight Princess (captured 22 of 24 "golden bugs" only to find out I can't access the final two until later in the game...). Hopefully it's not terrible; I like how they're promoting the Cena/Umaga feud (as if they were two people feuding on a pro wrestling show). I don't care for the participants, but I hope this is a signal of a desire to "return to basics" in WWE programming.

In the words of Farooq... DAMN!

Has it really been that long, that's just awful.

Lessee here:

WM 19 - the title was retired for God knows what reason
WM 20 - Orton helped Evolution beat the Rock n Sock connection instead of defending his title in a one on one match. I blame the Rock here, shoulda just been Foley vs Orton, oh well.
WM 21 - Benjamin was thrust into a MITB match that pretty much signaled his downfall. It was around that point we found out Shelton would never get elevated up the card. Benjamin shoulda faced someone like Benoit in a 1 on 1 match instead, IMO.
WM 22 - Again Benjamin holding the strap, again Benjamin not defending it, again Benjamin in a MITB match that he had no realistic shot of winning.

Hey, maybe Jeff can face Benjamin at WM 23, so Shelton can FINALLY get his WM IC title match! Won't happen, it'd be a good match though methinks.

Ron Simmons?

Lame.

Masters better beat him, or else they'll throw something they've been "building up" for no fucking reason. Again.

Edit: 'Bout fuckin' time they did something with Super Crazy.
This sucks. I'm only waiting for Ric Flair to turn on HBK.
Hey look! I'm eating crow!
Coach: Maybe your battery needs to be recharged?

 Pretty cute inside joke.
And here are the TNA spoilers:

TNA returned to Orlando, Florida tonight to tape Impact and Xplosion at Universal Studios. Richard Trionfo called in the following results:

Xplosion:

*Alex Shelley defeated Jay Lethal in a good match.

Impact 1/18:

*Sting, sans makeup, attacked Jim Mitchell and threw him into the trunk of a car.

*Backstage, Team 3D was entering the building. Brother Ray talked about how they were screwed in the past by other wrestlers and promoters but never by other family members. He tells Brother Runt not to get involved in their match tonight.

*NWA Tag Team champions LAX defeated Team 3D after Moody Jack handed Hernandez a slapjack to use on Ray. Runt came out during the match but Ray brought him to the back.

*Backstage, Abyss was in a rage over Jim Mitchell missing. They cut away to Jacqueline and Gail Kim brawling backstage.

*They did a sitdown interview with Christy Hemme. She said that women deserve respect. Kip James tried to get involved and take over the interview for Jeremy Borash, but BG James played peacemaker.

*NWA champion Christian Cage comes to the ring to cut a promo. Kurt Angle comes out. Cage says he has an "anger management coach". Angle asked who, dropping Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar's names, but Cage wouldn't say, leaving it as someone who would help him get into Angle's head.

*In a taped vignette, Sting had taken Jim Mitchell to the prison of Abyss' past. He demands to know Abyss' secret and Mitchell refuses to tell him. Sting handcuffs him to the fence.

*James Storm defeated Lance Hoyt. Dale Torborg and AJ Pierzynski interfere. After the match, Gail Kim and Jacqueline (wearing a Ms. Texas sash) brawl. Storm lays out Kim. Petey Williams hits the ring for the save but is hit with a superkick and laid out.

*Backstage, AJ Styles is interviewed about Kurt Angle and calls him a baby.

*Kurt Angle pinned AJ Styles after an Olympic Slam on a steel chair. Tomko came out to ringside to try and distract Angle. After the match. Christian Cage hit the ring for a 3 on 1 attack of Angle. Rhino hit the ring and chased Styles off. Samoa Joe came to the ring and stared off with Angle as Cage and Tomko backed off. Cage asked Angle if he had a clue yet, insinuating he had hired Samoa Joe.

*Sting arrives at the Impact Zone and calls out Abyss trying to find out the secret. Abyss refuses and Sting says he will find out for himself.

Impact 1/25:

*Samoa Joe comes out and says he's going to be an unofficial enforcer. Kurt Angle comes out and warns Joe not to get in his way. Christian Cage comes out and says it's not Joe he hired and Angle will get another clue later.

*Rhino fought Raven to a no contest when AJ Styles, dressed in Raven's suit, attacked Rhino with a steel chair.

*In a non-title match, Jerry Lynn defeated TNA X-Division champion Chris Sabin, Senshi, and Austin Starr in a Four-Way match when Lynn pinned Sabin with a sunset flip.

*Sting promo: He reveals the secret. Abyss once shot a man in the back three times. The man, who was Abyss' father, survives and is in a coma. Abyss attacks Sting and they brawl.

*NWA champion Christian Cage pinned Christopher Daniels. Samoa Joe came out to watch the match. After the bout, Kurt Angle comes out and he goes face to face with Joe.

Xplosion:

*Sonjay Dutt fought Chase Stevens to a no contest after Shane Douglas came out and threw Stevens into the ring steps.

EDIT: Per psykoboy's advice, I think it was alluding to the biggest claims leveled against Vince, that he's out of touch with the audience and worn down from decades of work.

What's huge about Lita working for an indie fed?
It was in the segment where Vince first read the "letter from Donald."
No...the inside joke is what I think he meant.

Vince tore both of his quads as well, and I think it's cool that Lita will be working UWF shows. It'd be a bit neater if they were still TNA-branded shows, but oh well. They'll still be available on DVD via Highspots. I might buy the upcoming Steiners-Team 3D DVD.
I love how they confiscated DX signs and someone in the front row just held one up.
When did this start happening?

I thought he only tore one.

The only other athlete I know of that tore a quad was Charles Barkley but that was while he was jumping.
When did this start happening?
that was quite funny.. they had security go around and take dx signs.... and you can see some guy in the crowd respond with a suck it

I was hoping nobody quoted me on that before I deleted the message. Serves me right for watching Raw on Tivo delay and trying to have a conversation about it.

Why the hell did the ref DQ call for the bell during the main event? I've never seen anyone DQ'ed for bringing a chair into the ring and not yet using it. what the hell?

"Recharging one's batteries" is a euphemism that people say when they feel that their worklife or homelife is suffering as a result of exhaustion.

We say things like "I need to relax and recharge my batteries" when we plan vacations and getaways; the deviation from our normal routine staves off boredom, exhaustion, and productivity problems that come as the result of working too damn hard.

So, Coach saying that to Vince came across to me as a subtle joke suggesting that Vince is exhausted and needs to "recharge his batteries." One glance at Raw or ECW can show you that "his work," in terms of WWE programming, has really been suffering for quite some time.
Looks like they're setting up Batista/Undertaker at WM, and they're gonna have UT win the Rumble to get there.
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that'd be a severely lame match.
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that'd be a severely lame match.
Especially if UT loses. 'Taker puts on a good match when you don't give him a big oaf like Batista to work with.
