League of Legends anyone?
ello, got referred to this post and it seems with good reason!

If anyone wants a decent Blitzcrank or Zilean I'm always up for a game. Look up RisenShadow.

I also play morgana...but I'm cursed. Though I play her well, any time I select her, my team loses. Go figure.
Ok, I will add you to my list of people that might be good. Icedrake and Waughoo are on that list...one day I will decide if they will move up in rank to my good people list

hehehehe.

Oh, besides being the President of the good people list, I am also the only member.
Dude, you got a Dell!
Sadly, he does. Take all of that Dell stuff off and put all of their services are manual for starters.
Sadly, he does. Take all of that Dell stuff off and put all of their services are manual for starters.
So just check anything with Dell and select fix?

(BTW, do you mean "on" instead of "are"?)
So just check anything with Dell and select fix?
Yeah. There some other stuff that does not look right like the ask tool bar. Also.

Unless you are using one of those Dell features daily...I would remove them all...except for the drivers.

Anything I miss? Got rid of the Ask toolbar and the Dell sstuff except for the WLAN Tray Service (I use wireless a lot so I don't want to remove it without knowing if it's important).
You may want to kill the DIVX, adobe updater, java updater, quicktime process, google....jesus, the computer must take a bit when you boot it up, doesn't it?

Also, if it helps, I had problems with the patcher getting some kind of weird communication error. I eventually had to uninstall / reinstall the whole game (repair didn't work).
You can keep all of that stuff but it should not be loading when your PC starts. You PC should always boot up fast. Anything longer than 10 to 15 secs is a problem in my book.

Also - there are alternatives to adobe and quicktime that should should look into. I use Foxit and Rrager respectivly and I've never looked back.

You can keep all of that stuff but it should not be loading when your PC starts. You PC should always boot up fast.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe
C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Reader Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe

Those processes always start at boot time. I was never a fan of java, quick time and adobe constantly checking for updates so I would usually go into msconfig and disable those from starting up.

Back in the day they used to always slow down a computer from starting up. Don't know how much they slow down things now, i turn them off out of habit.

Mind you this has nothing really to do with the initial problem. Purely academic.

Things I would look into...

C:\Program Files\DellTPad\Apoint.exe - http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/apoint/23048/

C:\Program Files\Intel\IntelAppStore\bin\serviceManager.exe - This is for IntelApp...While they have some great free games...it should not be starting up all the time unless you are on there 24/7.

C:\Program Files\Trillian\trillian.exe - You want trillian to auto start? I would move on to

Raptr

75832735.jpg

Raptr is a free social utility for gaming made by people who love games. We allow you to connect with your gaming friends and see what the world is playing.

Raptr allows you to chat in-game with all of your friends from the top IM services (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, Google Talk, Xfire, and ICQ) in one friends list. You can even chat with your friends on Xbox Live! With the Raptr client, you will no longer need to have multiple IM clients running to challenge or invite your friends to play a game with you.

No more alt-tabbing to chat with your friends. With Raptr you can chat with all your friends across all IM networks without losing a moment.

Megazell's Comment - Xfire, SeeMePlayMe, Gamespy and STEAM also allowed you to communicate without having to alt+tab.

Raptr lets you add your Xbox Live, Playstation, and Steam accounts to see what your friends are playing all the time.

Raptr will even let you know the map, your ping, and the game mode before you jump in.

Megazell's Comment - Xfire allowed you to do this also. Not sure about the rest.

Whether you play PC, Xbox 360, or Flash games, you can use Raptr to automatically share what you're playing and how well you're doing. You can broadcast your playing status to all of your friends on the top IM services as well as friends on Facebook, Twitter, and FriendFeed.

Megazell's Comment - You should get an Xfire account also. It's free and CAG already has an ongoing list if you care to add people to join up with them for future games - CAG Xfire Username Thread

Check them out here - http://raptr.com

Flippr's got his little private clubs, they're private partly cause noone wants to join but mostly cause his wife wont let him have friends :)

Trilian doesn't auto start. I think it showed up since I have it running. Ill try Raptr since Trillian has issues for me.

Here's my most recent log file. Pretty sure I removed everything you suggested. The TPad is the touchpad so I don't want to remove that.

No idea if I can start a game since I can't do one myself with bots.
All The Things She Said Running In My Head
So did you try to run LOL after the changes? Make sure you rebooted and all that.

Huzzah more folks around * o*

On a depressing note, I got a copy/paste response to the 4man premade that surrendered moments away from our win. :( The rep didn't even bother to pluralize the message, so it was all referencing the "one person" I reported.

And was then kind enough to tell me how to mute and ignore players from now on.
Still can't get in games. Posted a thread in Help & Support.

Can't wait for DotA2.
Hmmm. Maybe your firewall is blocking LOL?
Whatever it was, the third uninstall/reinstall worked.
Glad to hear it's up and running for ya...I personally would investigate that further just to be sure it was nothing more than a corrupt installation...

So, the latest patch broke Pantheons stun. 75% of the time you leap to an enemy but nothing happens. fucking love Riot.

Yeah, I plan on doing some comp maintenance this summer. Thanks for your help.

Ice, if the game wouldnt start after you choose your champ and stuff, its probably adobe air

if you reinstalled that, it would probably work.

I had to format my computer, and left LOL on it. I had to reinstall adobe air or i wouldnt get into the game screen.

Instead of clicking "fix" with hijack this, go to start, run, type in msconfig

then click on the startup tab and unclick all the crap you dont want starting up

So Waughoo and I were in the most boring boring game ever in the world

Our team: Brand, Kat, Shen, Soraka (me), and Lux

I was laning with Lux at the start at bottom, and this Lux sucked. Couldnt clear minions and couldnt land skill shots.

Other team: Jarvin, Xin, Warwick, Amumu, and Ryze

Lux and Shen switched, so I was with Shen bottom. We could barely harass them. Shen left me for like 75% of the time and I was soloing bottom against Warwick and we just farmed since neither of us could hurt the other one.

Laning phase went over 30 minutes. I tried to surrender, but it failed. It was the utmost boring game of last hitting minions

At 40 minutes we finally surrendered due to boredom. Probably would of been better if our Brand wouldnt of fed Ryze at the start and our Lux could land her skillshots. But yeah, at 40 minutes, both teams had like 3 towers down and it was boring as hell. Both teams had like 200+ CS

That Brand came back a bit though via kill steals. I was annoyed with him though cause he dies 3 times really early. I go to cover mid so Ryze doesnt take it. Lux gets mad at me for leaving, over extends, and gets ganked. Meanwhile Brand comes back, I return to top. Brand leaves mid to go gank bot, which he fails miserably. Then he complains it's everyone else's fault for not knowing how to gank, and not helping mid when he called for it 'repetitively'. He NEVER pinged for mid needing help, and only asked to help the one time I went to cover it. Then he wouldnt stay in mid for any more than one minion wave. Meanwhile I'm stuck covering top solo, and never got to go back to buy till the 30 minute mark!

I hate players who wont just admit they screwed up.

ya, everyone KEPT leaving mid to gank, and every gank FAILED SO BAD because Lux wouldnt land her skill shot at all.

I couldnt recall for like 30 min either because i couldnt leave bottom.

So no one was ever covering mid.
Has anyone heard of www.heroesofnewerth.com ?

Someone just referenced it to me and it strikes me as just another LoL.
It's actually just a clone of DOTA. LoL is like dota but with different changes to make the game different and is free. I never played HON but I have no reason to, since LoL is free.
I know the feeling. I get that a lot. I also hate people who think they have to be fucking superstars by either telling the team what to do (just because they think they are in charge, not because it makes sense), or those players who only play for kills and they say I am awesome look how many kills I got.

I been noticing this a lot lately. I remember the one game I was laning mid and I was perfectly fine. This jackass comes and kill steals (keep in mind I had over half my health and the Ryze in the mid had like none). He was in the jungle all day just waiting for champs to pop out and kill them, not laning at all and then talks about how good he was .

I am deciding on what champ I want to buy next on my 2nd account. Right now I own Yi, Morgana and Lux. Not a big fan of Melee characters (because I pretty much suck as them), but I don't know if I need another mage yet. I guess I will look over my options.

Waughoo never admits when he screws up, but thats cause hes perfect!

:D

In my Karma game yesterday, in which I had 3 bad teammates (Amumu, Brand, and Cho), there was a fight. Our Jarvin and Brand died, then amumu and cho FINALLY got to us. I was low health and Warwick was chasing me right near amumu and cho. And by right near, I mean they were all on my screen and my champion was like a pixel away from them. They both disregard me and focus the other enemies. Jarvin (who was the only good person besides me of course) was yelling at them to help the poor girl. But nope, they didnt and I ended up dying. After, amumu was like "I was nowhere near to help" Jarvin and I were just like %$#^%$#&$&.

Flippr, what's your Singed build?

Played a few co-op games last night and rushed Catalyst/Rod of Ages, Boots of Swiftness, Banshee's. Never built anything after that but would have gotten Sunfire.

mana crystal + 2 hp pots, cataylst, , merc treads, rod of ages as core

then i like rylia's, force of nature, an armor item (anyway order like it)

rylia's makes your poison slow

i just carried a game as jungle trundle. 7-1-10. It was really 4v5 since we had singed who we never saw. but we all had great teamwork

our team: trundle, ashe, teemo, karth, singed

enemy: morde, blitz, eve, ashe, and morgana

we pooped on them.

all i had as trundle was: wriggles, merc tread, frozen mallet, and negatron cloak

i was tankie as hell though against them

I hate jungling when there's an Eve on the other team.

Also, do you use Mana per 5 per level seals? I see a lot of people say it's not very necessary on him.

Had a good one today. Rabbit Suit Teemo vs Badger Teemo.

They all traveled as a team, and slaughtered us as one, while we all solo pushed. It was kinda funny. They weren't even able to take a single tower until the 30minute mark, but we had six down in the first 20minutes xD. Our TF acted like he was the second coming of jesus, insulting all of us because we didn't push in a group after picking off one or two of the enemies, even if we had less than 200hp.

Started singing my praises at the end though and attempted to add me to his friendslist >_>

Had a pretty good game that went back and forth. I was Singed and had such a hard time against Brand who has so much burst and range. We could have won but I didn't teleport when my team was attacking their base. When I realized I could, I would have just died. We ended up losing.

It's sad but this game has turned into a POS for me. At least for random ranked games. The downside of being a F2P game I guess. No one ever takes ranked games seriously and the teams always so dysfunctional. GFG.

Had 2 good games tonight. First I was Singed. Our team had a good start, then we played stupid and kept running into them on our own. Fed their Irelia and Sona but finally we regrouped. Our Nasus was dumb though, 4 were dead and he wanted to fight Irelia under their turret instead of getting Baron. Fortunately he stopped and we got it and won after that.

My other game I was solo top as Renekton against Vlad. Man I hate Vlad. Fed him pretty bad early dying 4 times. Our jungle Udyr was so bad. Never came to help me and kept whining all game about being ks'd. Fortunately we won a pivotal fight and made a strong push that clinched it. I finished 5/6/5, so not bad considering my bad start.

Been playing non-stop tonight using a new guide I found for Blitz that fucking wrecks. Played 10 total games tonight and won eight of them. All games totaled, I've gone 62-23-97.

EDIT

Annnnd, just won another game 6-0-14.

Anyone notice the over-abundance of foreigners lately? Every game I'm in, there are at least 4-5 people who don't speak English and have like a 400+ ping. It wouldn't be so annoying if they didn't all completely suck.

Ugh I can't wait till this free champion rotation is over. Every time we get a Brand player on our team he turns out to be some idiot jackass player who only plays for kills and not to actually help the team. I remember the one time the one Brand went right into the enemy base with all 3 turrents still there at the edges of the base just to chase a Ryze with about 30% health . Then another time we had a Brand who complained about his laning partner stealing a kill.

I actually haven't played with any foreigners in a long time.

Not all Brands are bad. The one on the other team is always good.

I played a co-op AI game to get my win of the day bonus and almost lost. Our Karthus was retarded, 0/13 and he'd just stop and try to fight 3 of them. I was Singed and had to build a friggin Phantom Dancer and get the green elixir for us to win. They were out of the base so I just took out their mid inhib, then met up with Xin at their bot base turret, and us and Sivir got their nexus. Post game I realized why Karthus was so bad, he was a level 7. Xin and Sivir were also level 10 and 11.

I made a thread on their forums. Of course most of it will be dumbasses thinking I'm complaining about the difficulty of the bots.

I played an awesome normal match today. I'm not sure what was going on, but the loading screen had 8 people on my team and 12 on the other.

In game, everytime we used a skill, a little clone character would be created and they'd sit there. But we could only have three copies out at a time. It sucked for me though, cause my normal attack was considered a skill thanks to poison. It was pretty neat, but I went and tried to attack clones a few times and ended up dying.

Ice and I just had a bullcrap game. Our Lee Sin had a bad start, so he wanted to surrender. Noone else did. So he said he was going AFK. Instead he decided to feed instead. The rest of us actually turned it around for awhile, and we would have probably won but he kept on feeding. I have an LoL Replay of it

Yeah, I hated that guy. Had a pretty good first game as jungle Nunu (10/4/10 i think). Though my Match history says that loss was forgiven.

Our other game was chaotic. It was against jungle Nocturne. I started countering at Wraiths and Waughoo and Cho fought Irelia and Nocturne at their golems and Waughoo died. We fought over buffs, we got dragon twice. Just all around chaos. Then we won a big teamfight, Mundo tanked 3 of theirs towers. Then we got Baron and had another chaotic team fight in their base. I had no clue what I was doing so I just attacked their Nexus turrets. Everyone else ran away or died but I finished one and ALMOST got away by Flash but died feet before getting there. Waghoo almost killed Kayle by ulting into their base. They surrendered after that though. I wanted one more big team fight :whistle2:(

Glad we won it because I thought we were going to lose since they had a fed Irelia.
