League of Legends anyone?

Played my first ARAM today. Sucked since the other team had a good comp for ARAM (Janna, Alistar, Maokai, Poppy, and Anivia). My team was Cho, Veigar, Kat, Shen, and Ryze. We got our asses handed to us. Cho really sucks when he can't get stacks on his Feast.

At least you quit playing Garen.

Yeah, thank god. And this coming from a former Garen player.

Man, I can't believe I used to play 2 of the most boring champions who are shit late game.

Just played 2 normal games. First one we stomped their team 20-something to 4. Next game the other team did troll builds (Warmogs Teemo, Manamune Xin) and Kog Maw fed us. I've been on the other end of those so winning them was nice.

I really like Amumu. Even if I have a bad laning phase, give me Philosopher's Stone, Sunfire Cape, and Aegis and I'll make up for it.

Also tried Lee Sin in a practice game. His jungling is really good. But that's all he does well.

Played a Co-op as Maokai.. and god damn that's one tanky tree. Damage wise was a little small for me though. At the start, his damage is great, but it just goes down hill.

Course, at lvl 18, it took all five bots nearly a minute to kill me when I was solo. And I was building AP end game. Any way for Maokai to escape btw? I was able to take a beating, but without an enemy minion being behind me to root to, I had no ability to escape at all.

Your escape mechanism is running.

Here's a champion sneak peak of Rumble: The Mechanized Menace. He looks like an evil Teemo in a machine that looks like Blitzcrank's armor.

And here's the preview of Monkey King (just shows a silhouette dancing and then a closeup of art of his face)

Also, they're changing global ults of Pantheon and TF. They want the spell cast radius to be shown in the minimap, once they can do that, they'll change it.

I see people complaining about Shen's ult being global. I just roll my eyes at that because it's such QQing. It's all just raging because "OMG Shen ulted to his teammate that I was about to kill. So OP! Needs nerf nao!!!"

Maokai's Q is kinda an escape. Knock-back + slow

Shen is OP

:p

No one enjoys Shen's global ult in ranked

I messed around with Twitch. Hes pretty darn fun for killing squishies!!!!

I wasnt even fed and I was kicking Ashe's ass :D

Twitch is kinda like an invis ashe, without the frost arrows and ult.

Its fun to poison and slow people though!

Just had one of those games where, even if you had lost, it was good. Me (Amumu), Lux, Panth, Corki, and Akali. They were Teemo, Maokai, Brand, Jax, and Soraka. We lost our towers first line of towers early but got an ace and pushed mid to their base turret. Once I got my core build, I bought Oracles which made Teemo's shrooms useless. We wrecked in most fights thanks to my ult. Our Pantheom was really good too since he had SotC stacks and 3 BF swords (later Bloodthirsters).

I really love Amumu. All I need is Boots, Aegis, and Sunfire (and a Philo stone if I had a bad laning phase) and I'm good to go. I would have loved to play him back when you could stack Sunfires.

Had two pretty crappy games last night. Both of them we did good early then got rolled late game. One game we were doing ok, but had a Twitch that would just KS our whole team. Then he got mad at our Anivia for defending when there was a teamfight going on, even though she saved the tower. We told him to shut up cause all of us were now really behind on gold thanks to his KSing. He got mad and went idle and said "Go ahead and report me noobs". When we asked the other team to report, he started playing again, but purposefully let the other team get away and would be like "Didnt want to KS you, noob".

The next game our bot (2 spanish speakers) fed their Ashe really bad. At the end she could 2 shot me with her Q and kill me. Worst thing was is that she sucked. Early game she was top with me and Alistar, and we killed her like 4 times before she hit lvl 5. Then she switched to bot and destroyed them.

i had this guy on my friends list and he invited me to a game

and our whole team did bad, i had a bad game too and i was playing singed. then he was like fail singed

so i took him off my friends list

:p

Yesterday I had a match that lasted 78minutes. The longest by far that I've ever been in. It started out normal, then one of the enemies DC'd and gained the 1 man advantage... but sadly, our team composition sucked. Every single one of us were AP users. Their Mao just built up MR the entire game and we couldn't do jack to him.

Our Jax and Kat decided to do whatever the hell they wanted the entire game. Sure, Jax was able to get Baron solo (when everybody else was dead) and Kat took down a tower solo, but after giving them more than 5 kills a piece within twenty minutes and less than 2 kills total to show for it... Jax was kind enough to tell me to uninstall the game despite going 2-2-7 (with those deaths from four people diving me) versus his 5-12-3 (from 1337ness)

Longest game I've ever played was just a few days ago, 98 minutes. Shit took FOREVER. It's dumb too because the IP you get for a 98 minute game (in this case I got 77 for winning) isn't all that much different than if your game ends in 20 minutes (usually get like 60-70IP).

How is that possible? I've gotten 100 IP for much shorter games. They were supposed to have changed the IP return system so you got more IP for longer games.

Yeah, I was surprised when it ended and saw 77IP. I mean, I wasn't expecting like 300IP or anything, but a bit more for a 98 minute victory would've been nice.

..Whoa, seriously? I got more IP for that 78minute game as a loss than you got for the 98minute win. Being lvl 30 must seriously blow.

I heard IP per game is supposed to cap at 1,000. Since when a match glitches out it can sometimes reward that... I'd hate to imagine how long it would take to get that though.

Man, those forum folks are harsh. Dealt with Postive and Negative upvotes all yesterday afternoon. Ah well, it was a fun topic while it lasted. I think I'll bite and buy Easter Teemo on Easter though.

Oh and everybody should check out this topic right away. A few gentlemen from Gametastrophe and having a PAXEast Swag giveaway and both the Riot Singed and PAX Jax codes in the lot.

On a fun note, I had another 4 man-premade group try a surrender at the last second on me in a Co-op battle! ^^ But they weren't able to troll me, I didn't hit the "No" option right away, teleported into the Nexus and took it down before it went though.

BIG complaints about the low IP gain. Most up-votes I've seen for a thread.

Fiddlesticks is being changed
http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=676917

Dark Wind: Bounces changed to 5 at all ranks. Silence duration 1.5 at all ranks. Leveling the skill increases base damage. Large increase to AP ratio.

Drain: Now heals for a % of damage as health. Begins at 50% and scales up with AP ratio (and can go over 100% with enough AP). Range slightly reduced. (Might increase CD if we have to).

Crowstorm: Base damage lowered, AP ratio increased.

Base Stats: Pretty sizable increase. His base armor was abysmal to make up for drain - with these fixes, he can have more normal base stats.

* Why change Fiddlesticks?

The changes were really easy to do, and Fiddlesticks is not in a good spot right now (he's bad in serious games, but still can pubstomp well). These changes are to fix how feast-or-famine Fiddlesticks is right now (he either snowballs heavily or is worthless) while giving him more late-game damage scaling.

* What about junglesticks?

We're running some heavy jungle testing today to see if this is still possible. We expect speedier jungling with the Dark Wind changes, it's really level 1 golem we're going to look at. We'd like him to be a good jungler.

* Why not let drain stay 1:1 on the health gain?

Fiddles sustain from this is exceptionally high early, but letting this scale throughout the game lets us both make him less crazy sustain early (which is an important counter-balance to lane presence with the Dark Wind changes) and lets him actually drain much more effectively late game, where stuns are flying around a lot more and the move is riskier.

Xin is being de-nerfed a bit
http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=676954

We talked a lot about the Xin nerfs last week, and possible buffs to him to compensate. Here's the current plan;

  • Three Talon Strike
    • Fixed a bug where Three Talon Strike could be activated while it was still active.
  • General
    • Base attack damage increased to 59.1 from 52.3
    • Attack damage per level decreased to 3.1 from 3.3
  • Battle Cry
    • Passive Attack Speed is no longer removed while the ability is on cooldown
    • Attack Speed increased to 20/25/30/35/40% from 15/20/25/30/35%
  • Crescent Sweep
    • Armor and Magic resist reduced to 25 at all levels.
    • Now scales and gives 7/10/13 Armor and Magic Resist for each champion hit
We believe this will be a good set of changes to fix the original problems and make him generally better in most elo ranges. The change to Battle Cry will add a ton of consistency.

We expect this to go out this patch.

After looking at the forums a lot, I've come to the conclusion that Phreak is an asshole. He can't control himself and reply to people in a calm, professional manner or give any thoughtful replies. There was a thread where he was arguing about Randuin's Omen still being good (which isn't) and just acting like a jackass. Then in a thread about Gragas, he just says to the OP don't reply with a bump and Gragas is still good. He's the only Rioter I see act like this.

Not the dude that worked on my ticket!

Although, the Wretchman that helped me file the ticket was a bit of an ass at the end. I send a second ticket in asking to transfer the Gothic Annie skin to his account, since he mentioned wanting one, and I dislike Annie. After speaking with the customer representative, he asked if I had spoken to the Wretchdude about it. So I tried adding him to my friendslist to talk about it, but he denied it four times = o=.

I ended up getting a "Red" post in my topic, but he or she just said something along the lines of "+1 for the 30 Rock Reference".

Is it bad that an Alistar caused us to win?

We had all range squishies (trist, cait, brand (me), and Kass)

vs

Team eat-squishies: Xin, Olaf, Le Blanc, Shen, and Annie

But Alistar fucking rocked the house and we won most of the team fights with him.

No, Alistar is awesome when on a balanced, coordinated team.
all riot employees are assholes as far as i know
Eh, I don't know. Maybe they are, but they don't stand out as much as Phreak does.

I remember a year or 2 ago, people were posting messages on Nestle's Facebook page criticizing them. The employee who dealt with it handled it as bad as humanly possible, some of the stuff posted was worse than arguments on forums. I think that's the type of thing that will happen with Phreak some day.

Well you kids all have fun the next few days without me. I'll be in the hospital for surgery #3, which SHOULD be my final one. I'll c-ya when I get back.

get better mr. waughoo

I joined a penny-arcade 5-man team that wanted to try lanes of 1-1-1 with 1 jungler and 1 roamer. I said I can do maokai if they needed a solo laning person, so I did

At first I was against nunu and malph bottom. bad idea.

Then gangplank switched with me so i was top and he was bottom. Not that great of an idea, but whatever!

I was top vs LeBlanc and she couldnt do anything, was funny

In the end, we won.

Solo lanes: Gangplank, Ashe, Moakai
Jungler: Noc
Roamer: Nunu

worked pretty well.

Good luck under the knife!

I believe the roamer's purpose is to have three solo lanes, counter jungle leaving the normal jungler to do his or her own business, and gank, gank, gank!

I watch a lot of the high ELO games on youtube, and the roamer basically travels to all different lanes trying to gank people or give support.

I have seen mainly Alistar and Taric do it

Feel better Waughoo!

So yeah, I've basically been extremely frustrated at my wireless here recently. Every game I try to play now I'm sitting at about 1300+ latency for no real reason. :(

I didn't know you could mousewheel on masteries. So much more convenient if you're going to get all points in one.

Yeah, we did. Fortunately we had a good late game that one game. Never let Nasus and Tryndamere farm.

Just played a game where we roflstomped them 38-7. It's nice to be on the side that gets 38 kills. Got it on LOL Replay too :)

Argh, I don't even play Teemo much anymore and I really don't want to put more money into the game, but I think I'm going to have to buy Cottontail Teemo.
Never buy a skin unless it's on sale.
Unless it's a perfect match for your IGN^

On that note, I still have no idea how to play Teemo z_z. I've done 30 co-op matches with him so far, so I'm getting a decent feel for him. But in every one, I become ridiculously fed and it doesn't even matter what I do.

AP Teemo, AD Teemo, Hybrid Teemo, On-Hit Teemo...

Somebody in-game just told me to look at The Rain Man's game history and steal his builds, but it's just a mix of AD/On-hit with Dorian's Blades to pick up the slack. The only AP he ever gets is from Malady. Tried it out and I sucked that match...
Never buy a skin unless it's on sale.
Or its likely to only be available for a limited time.

When I played Teemo I went mostly AD/AS with Guinsoo's being my only item that had AP. I could completely shred enemies at all levels. I'd basically just rely on the mushrooms to reveal enemy locations and slow them.

Played my first three normal games with Teemo.. and boy, none of them went well. I hit lvl 23 yesterday, and I'm finding myself paired up with 30s constantly which is a little intimidating.

First game, my teammates ended up surrendering 4-1 (me being the one), but after looking at the stats page, I think I should have agreed with them. I had 7 out of our 8 kills. And they had 20 on us, with two towers down. On the stats page, all of my teammates were lvl 30 too, which just confused the heck outta me.

Second game wasn't any better. We ended up surrendering again 4-1 (see previous). We had a Mort that took solo top and told me to go bottom, he went 0-5 against Vlad and then asked for me to come on top. When I confronted Vlad, Mort at full health just stood there and watched :(. Couldn't take him down. Looking at his items, we was snowballing xD and I made things worse.

He actually dove four people at a tower, survived and got three kills from it xD. I ended up with an awful 2-6-X score.

Third game, well, we had an Anivia who was very bossy. But he or she was good. Better than me with her, that's for sure. But the guy was very kill focused, and never liked protecting towers. We were down all three front towers by the 14minute mark, yet our kill count was about equal.

But oh man, we had Shaco that was pretty awesome. Aside from my Shrooms, we had his Jack-in-the-Boxes all over the maps too. The entire top section of the map was visible at all times and a lot of runners easily died to the shrooms + boxes even without AP in our builds.
