Left 4 Dead - Gen. Discussion & Info
everyone should just add CAGL4D and look for people to play with there.
Yeah, I had a pending invite for 2 weeks so I got tired of checking in on the gamertag. Now I don't bother at all.
I'm signing in right behind Panda. Should I set up a lobby?
Bah. Sorry. I'll get on now. Trying to figure out if I should trek out into this snow...Been stuck at home for the last 4 1/2 days.

No, no, no.

...Hell no.

Motherfuck the AI director on Blood Harvest on Expert. Could anyone on our team explain to me how every experience on that map differed when we averaged two Tanks, one Witch and a guaranteed horde before we even climbed up the damn train to enter the cornfields?

I don't like being lied to Valve. It HURTS me. ;(

sick games last night.. but yeah what the fuck is up with harvest that shit is impossible.

2 outta 4 on expert in one night ain't so bad lol considering we must have had minimum 20 attempts for each.

i'd like to get through the campaigns on expert as well, usually on after 10PM est

also, i was playing 2 nights ago as Zoey, and was totally blown away by her dialog when my health was low and she said "i'm gonna die" just the performance was pretty amazing on that line.

so I'm bored at work and decide to check a few of the people on the CAGL4D list's achievements... basically no one has completed a campaign on expert yet... pretty crazy that we got done with 2 last night with the 4 of us that played haha
yea i got it on black friday, but didn't open it til yesterday because of final exams

just played some co-op online and it's fun to play with people who have mics
OK, finally got my Xbox back. I added you and CAGL4D. If anyone else is up for some non-intense co-op, feel free to shoot me a friend request.

Anyone up for a few Expert runs? I've already confirmed cmart and swetooth tonight so post if you're interested and we'll figure out a time. If the rest of you are already on then just send me a game invite since I'm currently playing COD4.

I've only made it through one of the campaigns so far and would love to try out the others with other CAGs before bumping up the AI.

So, that 'hammer the metal door with melee strikes to break it' glitch/thing is interesting. What other glitches/thingies are there in Left 4 Dead?

Ide be down for some expert campaigns. I need all but No Mercy On Expert. My GT is
Elmo TeH AzN but I cant play like in primetime hours some nighs like 8 pm - 2 am because of shows on television and work = ( so if anyone wants to play hit me up

If anyone is interested usually a group of us are on at night around 9:00PM(EST) trying to go for the 4 campaign on expert achievement among others. So if you’re interested add me Galego23 and we’ll invite you to the game.

So far we’ve beaten No Mercy and Dead Air. Death Toll we were literally at the end before we got knocked down and Blood Harvest, well let’s say this is the biggest bullshit of a map ever. The Director is a huge fucktard on this map.

Yep. Cmart, myself and swetooth9 have proven time and time again that we're a solid well rounded unit. Unfortunately on Expert difficulty the level of our success has been severely limited by the overall idiocy of our partner AI. The loss of optional squad commands is REALLY hurting our dynamic and once a human player leaves or drops out it soon becomes a loss we can't compensate. What we need is another human player and searching for ANY MEMBER of CAG last night was a bitch so please make yourself known if you're interested.

Now given the extreme emphasis on teamwork and our combined knowledge of the game your particular skill level really is borderline irrelevant. If you're willing to play on Expert with a decent aim, follow directions, watch your own back as well others and communicate then you've already proven yourself to be a valued asset of the team.

Expert runs truly represent some of the most hilarious and enjoyable experiences this game could ever hope to offer but ONLY if you're on a decent team. If you see us online get at us!

Please.

yea haha, i haven't had this much fun restarting a level in a long time. this game is so intense and fun when you have 3 teammates that communicate and can work together and help each other

game blows single player though. i tried that the other day and i could not finish a campaign it was so boring. i tried versus mode too and that was pretty fun, especially when you get to be the special infected.

money well spent, indeed.

I usually play versus because I can't find 4 people that I know for a campaign. I am on nightly and willing to give it a shot if you guys are short on players.

My gamertag is ToadallyAwesome.

Question on split screen. Can you have 2 people on 1 TV and have both of them be in an XBox Live match? Or is online play limited to 1 person per TV? Could we do system link with 2 TV's and 2 people per TV?

The reason I ask is because all my RLF here in St. Louis I play VS System with (3 individual guys and 1 couple) are all Silver members. One of them just got a house, and he wants to have a housewarming party after Christmas. We have 3 copies of Left 4 Dead. Just wondering if we were going to have to do the system link route or if we could do it over Live (I have trial codes I could give them.)

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but just like Gears you have to be at the main menu when you add the 2nd player.
Yes, but just like Gears you have to be at the main menu when you add the 2nd player.
So I could have the following setup that would work:

Everyone that's Silver gets a Gold trial code working
2 people on 1 TV downstairs
2 people on 1 TV upstairs

1 of the TV's (probably the one I'm on) starts a room with the other player on my TV then I send invites to the other 2 on the downstairs TV and we would be set?

i can play but prolly not as late as the past few days cuz i might hang out with some ppl

but chyea, get ya game on, playa, get ya game on...

Since you're all in the same house you can just use system link and stay silver. :p

probably an overly asked question, but i can't find a way that everyone can just play offline (got 4 people)

we got 2 copies but one is rented and just want to play on one screen without having to use xbox live

is that possible? just a straight 4 player multiplayer?

Yea i was fearing that the only way we could do it was via system link and the xbox live method we're using...

Why oh why didn't I buy two copies of this game on black friday?!???!?!?!?!?!?

and of course, i'm going to be online tonight and monday night (and tuesday morning) if anyone wants to find me

hahaa, left 4 bed...i've played the campaign so many times and i've heard all of those quotes...funny when you put em all together like that

Is this game special enough that I would get my money's worth with local co-op alone or is this another title where XBL is where it shines? I have XBL but local multiplayer is a big draw for me and sadly, local split-screen (co-op, vs and XBL "guest") is slowing being worked out of games :(.

...contemplates L4D or The Club for upcoming B2G1...

You'll want to play it on XBL.

That would involve moving a big ass TV down a flight of stairs so I was trying to save some manual labor.

Finally got past No Mercy on expert last night. The closet idea I had worked pretty good. Threw a Molotov to kill the tank and then went back to the closet. I are happy. Too bad that's the only strategy I have for the game lol.
