LEGO Deals 3

A Wolf Pack drawbridge set was one of the first I remember. The other was a small Ice Planet set and a 6 in one set.

I’ve still got that set complete with the box, it comes with a glow in the dark ghost. I always wanted a full castle as a kid but that was the closest I ever got. I did have the Ice Planet base and big ship though, still have the Target clearance price tags on the box.

Jealous! I have the little ice ship with for long skis. Only have one ski left. I remember my dad helping me build it when I was like six.

Heads up to people who ordered Bricklink series 2. Lego is doing weird things with my credit card. I'm going to look into it when I have time, but they are charging and un-charging my card. I have to check if they charged me back when the pre-order happened. It's very weird.

They’re by far the highlights of my entire collection. I’m working on rebuilding the Blacktron II base, I’ve got the box, instructions, baseplates, and a good portion of the pieces but there’s quite a few pieces I’m still missing.

Man, they really don’t make them like they used to. I know that’s mostly nostalgia talking but man do I miss some of those sets from the early-mid 90s.

I was under the impression that they don’t charge until it ships, I guess I’ll check last months preorder.

They do a temp charge when you order and charge when they ship. I've had the set for awhile, they done weird things and currently I have a refund which would be nice. 😂 But now I wonder if they double charged me at some point. That's why the heads up.

Hotel’s already gone, thankfully.

I happened to wake up in the middle of the night and added it to my cart. Then I couldn’t decide if I wanted to spend the money on it. I love the modulars, they rarely go on sale, but the hotel didn’t really excite me too much. Sitting there staring at the price really reminded me how great we had it when all the modulars were coming out at $150 though…

I remember when Amazon had Cafe Corner for $95. 🤣

The hotel is actually really nice, but by itself. As a modular in a group it's not that great and barely fits in. It's been that price a few times and sells out. No town modulars are retiring this year.

The next idea set is rocks.
The Horizons set is only $45 and comes out in March.
VIP weekend is this weekend. Very nice record player when you spend $250. A very meh Christmas train when you spend an outrageous $170. Double points on things, some other shit.

Walmart has a few sets with nice discounts but hard to find while searching. Ideas Sonic set is $45, Princess Peach is $58 I think. Diddy Kong Cart set is $58. Honey gives 10% back. So even better deals.

Series 6 of Bricklink is up, WOLF PACK SET!!! That will be sold out within seconds.

I think most of those are retiring but the sales list are different for different countries. However 20% off overpriced sets seem to be the normal for USA sales. UK and Europe get 40% off sets.

Best Buy’s Black Friday Lego deals are up. Most of the same stuff/prices already at other retailers. Looks like they had the McAllister/Home Alone house at $209 but it’s sold out.

I’m gonna keep checking for it come back in stock but I’m not optimistic. Isn’t it retiring soon?

Do want that! I think it lasts until mid or end of 2025.

I'd say it probably retire at the end of next year as most big sets retire at the end of a year. Can always buy the knockoff.

The F1 garage is actually a really neat set for children. It has a handle to move it around and the garbage can actually launch the cars.

Can someone here explain to me why anyone would want to build almost the same model ten times?

I have to assume it is the unique livery and minor greeble differences between Speed Racer and Racer X that is important to the fans of those things.

Also, cash back from the R site is 15% at the moment. Unclear if it will cross over in to the offers tomorrow.

Well, finally saw the rocks minerals set and uhhh, sure ok. The new modular spoiler is also on Reddit and everyone’s going crazy over it but I’m just kind of blah about it, which I guess is fine because I don’t need to spend a bunch of money on a new modular soon anyway.

Eldorado Fortress is $172 at Lego. Honey has $30 cash back and you will get the holiday train and $15 in points. Target had it for $143 back in July.

Target Black Friday starts tomorrow.
Target will have Lego "up to" 50% off. What is shown is Moana boat, Harry Potter blue woods, and the City Space mini Mars base that was already a great price of $35 for 550 pieces for $20.

I think Walmarts Black Friday starts Monday. All I remember is Walmart + starts noon, and everyone else is 5pm. Hogwarts Express will be $70 and Battle for Hogwarts will be $45.

Kohls as $15 Kohls cash for every $50 you spend and some sets one saIe. While not on sale the modular museum does get you $90 Kohls cash to spend Nov 30 to December 11. Also have the DnD set and Gotham City. Might be a better deal than Lego, more so if you need other things from Kohls.

ok so I went to the Lego store today because its 2x points and my store finally has the NBC set back in stock. Cool, I have had had just under 11k points for years now waiting for the right deal to cash in. I swear I have checked online several times over the years that my points got me enough for $100 coupon however at some point terms changed I guess because it only gave me $78. So that was a little bummer but in the end I picked up the NBC set, dancing Groot and one D&D minifig to hit the $250 threshold to get the holiday train and record player GWP.

TheBigD - surprised you didn't mention this but did you see the new Anakin jedi starfighter price point. I believe its about 300 pcs, Anakin, Ahsoka and astromech minifigs for ... $45

I saw the set but just went "meh" and ignored the price I guess. That's completely insane. It's a dark red version of something we got then times before. I figured it be in a Walmart Three is One set for $50 next year at this time.

Also if you have had problems with your points and have screenshots of your points total Lego CS will gladly give you them back and give you bonus points for your trouble.

It wasn't a case of missing points its whatever the redesign of the rewards system is. There was no longer an option to use points to pick a coupon for X amount off, I swore it was there months ago. Now when you get to the checkout screen, whether online or instore, it gives you the option to use points to get X amount off.
Oh well, good use of my points for a set I wanted. Will probably see how much the holiday train and record player go for on the secondhand market to offset some of my cost further. I have no attachment to the holiday train at all. The record player is cute but its smaller than I thought it would be.

The points system was just recently redone but I thought they still gave you the same amount of money back.

I love trains. I told my family if they find any trains at my grandma's house I want them. That train GWP is garbage. 🤣

Walmarts Black Friday sets are live. I bought the Hogwarts battle and train. There is also the infinity glove, the Star Wars ship and The Office sets. The last is OOS for shipping.

Definitely interested in The Office set. App says it’s not in stock anywhere near me but I know I’ve seen it in my travels recently. Hopefully somewhere price matches if I can’t find it.

Lego has a bunch of sets 30-40% off. Nothing really big though besides a Monkey Kid set.

The Spaceman tictactoe is up, some junk is 100 points like key keys and such. A free raffle for a million points. Also a free Zelda picture download people might be interested in in.
