Anyone see the Target coupon? There will be nothing left when I go to Target tomorrow! It's $5 off $14.99 or high LEGO toy. However it says Limit one Target coupon per item and not per person.

Target coupon is in their weekly ad, I was able to score 5 ads.

I bought 3 sets, 2 Kingdom outposts that were on sale for 17, so that brought it down to $12, and one Deep Sea Striker which was on sale from $20 to $15.09 which after coupon was $10.

Pretty good deal , $34 for roughly $60 MSRP.
Where did you see the Target coupon?
I don't know if it's in the Coupon section on Target.com.....

Just checked, it is : http://www.target.com/redirect?ie=UTF8&token=A34D6D1A1B421FA679F4C880B04F0F85EBA87E61&location=http%3A%2F%2Fcoupons.target.com%2Fmcp%2F%3Fid%3D8a26421c-0c7a-4359-a567-33400958fc0e%26ref%3Dnav_footer_coupon Look under Sporting Goods and Toys and it might be the first page. It'll have some City Fire set and it'll say 14.99 or higher on it. The other coupon in the toy catalog is the $5 off specific sets.

It expires on the 24th so use them now!

Stopped at TRU, had to see the new sets. They had the 3 new Atlantis sets, very nice. The $10 set had a transforming sub. The PQ sets are slick. Nice mummies overall and definately has that "Adventure" set line.

I had a 5 off 25 B-day coupon so I decided to pick up 5 of the smallest new sets. Any b1 offer sales never work on these sets and they'll immediately jack up the price $1 soon. It was tough because the $10 are sexy.

The new Creator set, Robot Rescue, has a light brick but not as many pieces and they wanted $17 for it... ugh. Cabin was sexy and strange they put a minifig in there but nice. I didn't spot any Series 3 minifigs.
Xycury, I'm assuming you bought them all at once and just handed them different coupons.
Yes, I stacked 3 boxes, threw 3 coupons at them, and they scanned one after the other. No pauses, no register checks, nothing, it was -$5 every time.

As long as the coupon stops at "per Item" you can use any quantity you want... if it stated something like "one per customer per transaction" then it would have been 3 trips (Me walking out, and coming back to another checkout person)

OK, just checking because Target has a way of making coupons, wording them horribly, and then refusing to take them once word gets out how bad they are for Target.

So far I only have one, I'll go steal a few from my grandparents.

I bought some sets at Target today with the $5 coupon. It's 1 per item, so you can use 12 like I did. In addition to the the $17 Castle and Creator set in the ad, SW 8093 Plo Koon's Starfighter is on sale for $19, which makes it $14 with the coupon! Atlantis 8076 Deep Sea Striker is also on sale for $15, which comes out to $10 with the coupon. Some of the Targets I went to today didn't even have those sets advertised.

I also saw some of the Target have the SW and TS polybags on a temp. markdown to $2.99 from $3.99

If you're looking for more coupons, just check with customer service and they'll give you a weekly ad. That's how I got all my coupons.

My TRU Got a bunch of the new 2011 sets in. I don't have set numbers, but they had 3/4 of the new Lego Police theme, Pharoah's Quest sets, and two new Lego Creator sets- a robot and the transporter with helicopter.

They had a bunc of Lego polybags too. Two Creator sets- a snowman and a christmas tree, a Star Wars one (stormtrooper one), and the older Toy Story one.

Harry Potter Lego videogames went to 50% off at S@H, but they are out of stock...might be able to find them in store though.

I hope they get rid of all those keychains before they add the sale merchandise.

What do you think the Brick Friday sales are?!?!

I got echo base for my son with the $5 coupon at Target-this came to $20, and the Atlantis Deep Sea Striker for $5- this came to $10- I hope he likes this as it only has 1 minifigure. Not sure if he will like the striker. I wonder if I should save the $ and buy Undersea Explorer with the $5 off coupon.
My son's grandparents want to get him a big set, does not really have to be big but a great set. We were thinking of AT-AT walker not the motorized one, because my son said he does not care if it walks, he'd rather have more minifigures, and not sure if he would like the technic parts anyway. Emperor palpitine set maybe. Do you guys have any recommendation for a big or expensive set? He does like star wars but if something else was thought to be a really good set I would get it. I sorta looked at the Kings castle or Hogwarts castle. Unless we should get him a few smaller sets. Very confusing! Sorry

my son has the walking AT-AT and i'm not familiar with the non-walking one, but assume it's similar. it has a lot of playability .. good figures, the snowspeeder, the AT-AT .. with your echo base, you've got a whole hoth thing going on. for a bigger SW set, i think that's a great one. it's nice when there are other reasonably priced sets (echo base, wampa cave) that you can add over time to build a really big and satisfying scene.

Has anyone spotted the new Temple of Atlantis in the wild? Really looking forward to that set and word has it that it may make it out to stores before the end of 2010.

You can't go wrong with LEGO Trains. ;)

Big, expensive, but you probably would need to pick up a minifigure pack because they lack minifigures.

grandma was interested in buying my son the big millennium falcon after seeing it in a lego book of his. she asks me to look it up thinking its in the $500 range... I cant believe that thing is so expensive.

I can't believe your grandma was going to buy your son a $500 set!

she is old, adores my son, and LOVES sitting with him and building legos. im sure it wouldve been worth every penny to her.

The King's Castle was a great price with the b1g1 half off at TRU this last weekend, I got 2 of them for about $130. Haven't received it yet, but if your son likes the castle sets, and they are a similar price in a week at TRU you might want to check it out.

I love your grandma. :)

I love mine too, but I get a Hess truck, $20 and truffles from here and my grandpa every year. :D

Could be a good idea but I don't want two castles. If I can think of something else to pair it up with maybe it would be good idea. I showed him the castles and he seemed a little interested. I wonder if it will be online again I could get the medieval market village with it, I like that set for myself.

We LOVE Grand Emporium, Fire Brigade & Green Grocer -- lots of fun to build, and my children add minifigs to the set-up (sniper on the roof, robber at the store LOL). I don't know how old your children are, but mine are 11, 9 & 7 and those sets work for all of them (and me too:) ) Those ran $150 -- for Star Wars in the $100-200 range, Venator, Drop-ship & Tantive are awesome. For under $100, Police HQ, Public Transport & Medieval Market are great sets.

Wow, remind me to never visit your area of LEGO City ;)
^Lol, yes it's a surprisingly dangerous neighborhood for such a high-rent area.
It sounds like a fun set up, by the way my son is 9 years old.
^Lol, yes it's a surprisingly dangerous neighborhood for such a high-rent area.
Why do you think LEGO releases so many police sets? It's really dangerous in LEGO land.

That seems pretty sweet, and left on my own (with enough money) that is probably the combination I would have gone for, but in getting 2 of the castles for the price I should be able to recoup a lot of it by selling one once they discontinue them. And that makes it OK to my wife.
Ahhh, rationalizing.

I still haven't gotten to go to Target yet, but I have two coupons, they can be found in the store or in your Sunday paper.

I'm hoping they have the Kingdoms castle outpost, I loved Fantasy Castle but Kingdoms is boring, but I want the pieces, or the $15 Atlantis set with the funny wheels, or the camper.

Just out of curiosity, does Target adjust prices for BF? I went to a Target yesterday and they had the Troll Mountain Fortress out for $100, just wondering if it's worth the hassle.

I would like the camper, I don't think my Target is going to have the coupons in store though. I guess I can ask them. I should of printed another one.

I have been to 3 different Targets and none of them have the camper. I ended up picking up 2 of the Outposts, and 1 if the $15 Atlantis set.
And to answer the question about Target adjusting prices here is the quote from their website:
"If Target advertises a lower price either the same week or the wook following your purchase, bring in your original receipt to Guest Services for an adjustment
Exclusions: Price adjustments are not made for clearance prices or Target.com prices"
So it looks like yes, they should give you the money back. This is how I am planning on getting the LOTR trilogy for $8.

If she's willing to drop that kind of dough, why not just get the $400 Death Star set that comes with like 200 minifigs? My inlaws were over last week and my 7 y.o. nephew saw my S&H catalog with that in it and immediately started pining for it. Brother-in-law shot me as dirty a look as he could muster without me calling the cops. As a compromise we agreed he could take the catalog. ;)

I second the recommendation of the "city block" sets, as I call them, but some kids might not be into them. I wasn't into city/town sets as a kid. Still, these are impressive and fun to build no matter what theme you prefer. Plus, they can double as a Christmas village (I get tiny strings of lights with battery packs and make it look like there are candles in all the windows).

They are in the "weekly" (this week being 4 days) ad, so as long as they didn't run out of ads you should fine a coupon.

I saw a camper at a Target a month ago, so I'm hopeful.

i love our train set but all kids want to do with it is crash the trains or run over minifigs. not that that isn't fun. :)

though the 9v stuff is so hard to find now, i really discourage it these days. i guard those motors like they're made of gold.

for my boys, the most common way they play with their lego is to build something new .. so i'll throw in a vote for buying a few regular ol' brick buckets when they go on sale and random sets when they are clearanced. fantasy ships, vehicles, buildings, army bases, jedi temples, etc. etc. etc., come out of the big bin o' random bricks.
It's really not worth it.

Mind you I went to the first one, and I'm not a kid, but there wasn't enough LEGOs and it cost $10. Now it's even more expensive and I doubt it's much better.

You are better off on spending $20 a ticket on a box of LEGOs for your kids.
Thanks, this was what I thought. I will skip it. I wonder what are they charging so much for though. What do you get? I think it is like $14 and $16 for aa child and adult. That is a lot of money.

You get nothing! That's what bothers me. The kids get to build with some LEGOs, but it was a zoo, and some local AFOLs have some cool displays up, but that's mainly it. the kids don't even get to keep what they build.

I say skip it and buy each child you have a bucket. If there are 4 of you in the family then that's $60 you can spend on LEGOs that they actually get to keep.

yes they do. i think theres a thread on slickdeals that has corporate contact info and exerpts stating as much from their price-matching policy.
I price-matched an item last year during the door-buster period without hassle.

She actually mentioned that set and it didnt seem like it was worth $400. I was talking to her about city sets as well. my son is really into star wars and of course the lego sets. If the set isnt of somethign designed to kill or wage space battles then hes not too interested it seems.

I like the holiday village city sets. Maybe well do something like that this year, Id never even thought of that.
