What's the prices?

I'm assuming that the 2 figure space police tiny set should be 4.99? not TRU pricing.
Well, it's $5.99 from Lego Shop@Home, so I doubt it would be $4.99 anywhere...

Off the top of my head the prices were the same as the Lego store and .com. I remember the camper was $16.99 and the smallest space police was $5.99 which is what we paid at the Lego store. Target and Walmart are pretty good about keeping prices in line with what they should be.

Walmart is the new TRU. I'm thinking about bitching about their false advertising "Always low. ALWAYS!" The $10 sets are now $12, $40 sets now $44. ALL the sets were several dollars too high.

I'm guessing they need a bigger profit margin, and Lego stated "well TRU does it with all our products"... and now we have this.

I guess Target is where I'm going to shop...
Amazon 2pm pst: Lego Deal!!!! I would assume its going to be the Eiffel tower by reading the description. Its $199.99 right now, so who knows what the Gold Box discount could be. A few months ago it was at $149.99 so hopefully its a lot cheaper.

The Eiffel Tower is already $150 at shop.lego.com, so maybe $120-$130? If it's any less, I'll be mad, because I paid $120 for it last Christmas.

I disagree. The Targets where I live (Bay Area, CA) have their LEGOs priced a $1 - $4 more depending what the set is. When the Clone Walker Battle pack came out, Target retailed them for the MSRP of $9.99. But, after realizing that it was a hot seller, the price went up to as high as $12.09.

On another note:

I've always found good sets or huge lots on Craigslist, local garage sales or flea markets. Sometimes, a person doesn't really know what they're getting rid of. Last week, I went to a garage sale and scored on a bunch of complete Star Wars sets with Minifigs for $40! The best set out of it all was Boba Fett w/ Slave.

And if any of you are looking for a specific piece such as a baseplate, the best place to buy them is either Bricklink or eBay.

That's pretty awesome. That beats my Turbo Tank/ Tie Interceptor find last week.

CRRRAAAP!! I go on vacation, and amazon starts putting out deals?!! Went to do the PAB at DisneyWorld Lego store, and it's a pain in the arse.

It takes forever, well, it took us forever to finally get that cup filled, stacking the bricks just so, so we can fit in more.

We're going to go do another cup, but I'm kind of dreading it. Btw, some old lady worker made some snarky comment to my husband about building the bricks. He kept building.

They also had a darth vader contest.....for kids....every 10 minutes, the winner of each game got a chrome darth vader......SON OF A......

Yeah ... I visited the local LEGO store with the intent to compete in yesterday's Vader speed build ... until I realize all the competition was 3 feet tall ... needless to say, I walked away and sadly missed out on a damn Chrome Vader ...

Making babies is easier than making Lego sets. Then you can bring your own little ones to the store and steal their prizes afterwards.

You have to love Craigslist!

However for $40 for two non-Star Wars minifigures from set that are really only $16, you should include a blow job.
Is that your ad???
No, I only try to sell overpriced videogames on Craigslist ;-p

Some shady LEGO sellers in Cupertino though ...

just got back from my vacation to hawaii. i can confirm that their walmarts do not have legos on sale, well actually anything on sale

You have enough money to vacation in Hawaii:drool:, but still look for cheap Legos? People living in Hawaii don't deserve cheap Legos.;)

Just noticed that the Rogue Shadow is 50% off at Lego.com and I know how many of you guys love SW Legos! I'll bet anything it will clearance at Target too and could hit $12.50 if you're lucky.

I just saw that too. Seems like a good deal, but I'm going to wait for the eventual Target clearance :)

It seems like a horribly ugly ship, however the minifigures are ncie and it would be a lot of black pieces for $25.

LEGO.com really needs to add some sale ideas. I don't care what they do just add soemthing, the page has like 7 things for sale.

Maybe LEGO will smarten up and can put the Farm sets "on sale" for the price they should be i nthe first place.

How do you think I can afford to vacation in Hawaii? By saving money on my LEGO purchases, of course! ;)

Unfortunately, finding cheap Legos somehow translates in my brain as "Now you can buy double moron!"...and then I do.

Rogue shadow sold out...it is ugly and I never liked it until I played the Force Unleashed video game - great story for a video game or Star Wars.

The "10th Anniversary" Chrome Stormtrooper magnet is now available at S@H for $9. The new magnets are straight up minifigs standing on magnets, meaning they are untampered-with, non-glued together minifigs. If this thing's anything like that Star Wars poster they did a few months back, you may want to get one while you can. I'm not a Star Wars fan--but the chrome is pretty sweet--and the resale could be good down the road.

And that Rogue Shadow went quick.

If you buy two and a PAB, you can use code: BSCD28 to save $5, or essentially get free shipping.
Only $9? Odd, in the stores people said they were $13.
The people who bought them from LEGOLAND paid $12.99. Too bad for those people. Has anyone seen the Chrome Stormtroopers in their LEGO stores yet? I heard the stores are suppose to get them too and if that's the case, I'd rather wait and save on shipping.

I keep checking out Target and their current inventory keeps dropping and still no clearance...

Thanks! I got 2. How many times can we use that 5.00 off code?? I wanted to order another 2 for resell later down the road....makes me feel better about spending so much money on Legos.

Back from the DW trip...we did PAB 3 times...each time, getting better and craftier. Glad to be home though...Disney World in June is like going thru some army boot camp....it was brutal.
Where is the best place to find the Lego Batman sets?

Thanks.
eBay, and they will go for 5 times as much.

The Chrome stormtroopers are in the Lego stores now....brother bought some today. His store put a limit of 2 per customer though....they only got 40 of them in.

I saw the new Space Police and City sets at Target today. They were located on an endcap. The Space Police were pretty cool looking.
Where is the best place to find the Lego Batman sets?

Try Craigslist too. I put a wanted ad up for the Batmobile Collectors Edition and got it for $30 I think. It was missing a couple pieces but it looks fine.

The dino is neat. I always regretted not getting the T-Rex that had 700+ pieces for $30.

I also love how the people there complain about LEGO pricing.

LEGO's pricing in the last 25 years has gone up very very little, if at all, until this year. A Fire Station in the 80s that had 400-500 pieces would cost about $50 when the one today with 600 pieces cost $60. So these people act like LEGO raised their prices, they really didn't, the sets just got more complex and have more pieces. Hell when LEGO stopped making printed pieces and started making stickers the prices went down!

LEGO S@H is putting up all the late summer sets today. The new Temple of Doom, Venator ship, the rest of the Space Police etc. Might be worth keeping an eye on the site, last month they slipped up and put some new sets into clearance by mistake. If nothing else, they may drop some new sale items.

no new sales thnigs yet.

LEGO always has those collection, you used to have 5-10%, but now it's like .00089%. They never go on sale, you would have better luck waiting for a 10-20% sale at Target.

For anyone ordering online....get Shadow Trooper key chain, for .01 when you spend 75.00 or more...code PSA2. Valid until July 15, 2009.

Which leads me...does anyone know if you can combine codes...like this with a 5.00 off code??

ToysRus is running additional 20% off clearance prices, unfortunately the clearance prices at my local TRU haven't dropped since they did this deal about 4 - 5 months ago.

Both local LEGO stores around me sold out of the chrome Stormtroopers within the first hour. They're available on S@H and if you have a LEGO store near you, you can in and order it there and have it delivered to your home for FREE.

Walmart has some discounted sets like #4997 - Ferry Transport (1297 pieces for $43 , which are good if you're just looking for pieces. You can even have it shipped to a local Walmart for FREE if one is near you.

I went to TRU today since they're started their red tag sale and was hoping some of the older LEGO sets would be on clearance. Waste of time. Not one LEGO set was on sale. I did notice in the past week that they've been getting more Imperial Dropships with the Stormtroopers and 1 Shadow Stormtrooper - set #7667. Interesting, considering they've been sold out for about a month now.

In the catalog I just got today, the city transport collection is a savings of 22.95 or so, so thats even more than 10%.

Ordered 2 Chrome Stormtroopers through the local LEGO store ... looks like they're a hot seller from what I've read.

Which Walmart had the discounted Ferry Jay, since I think we're both in the Bay Area as I recall. I kept crossing my fingers that the big Star Wars sets would drop earlier in the year, like they had at other Walmarts outside the Bay Area but it never happened ... Target's been kind of a bust lately too ...
Guess stores are wising up to over ordering and then clearancing LEGOs

Has anyone seen any of the new Star Wars LEGO sets, specifically the TRU exclusive with the A-Wing and Admiral Ackbar? Hoping that one will show up soon

It was Walmart.com I think, not the brick and mortars.

And I know for a fact that my local Target has reduced its stock of Legos and video games. The first year it opened I could get multiple Lego sets and video games when they would go on clearance...now I'm lucky if they even have one when they first drop to 30% off.

I've stopped at 2 TRU's this weekend and they didn't have any new sets besides the ones that were released when the space police came out. I also called the Lego store asking if any of the new IJ sets were out and was told no, but he did say that they got the carousel set. I'm outta work for the month of July so I plan on taking the kids for the free build on July 7th, hopefully they'll have some of the new stuff then. (Wait, since I'm outta work, maybe I should hope they don't have any sets.)

I'm from San Jose too.

The Ferry is discounted on Walmart's website. You can have it shipped to a local Walmart for FREE, but of course you have to go there and pick it up. The one on Story Road isn't too far from me so I'm thinking of ordering one and then having it shipped there.

ALL the new SW sets are up on LEGOSHOP.COM. I went to the VF LEGO store the other day and ordered a few Echo Base sets, a few on the new IJ sets and 1 Battle of Endor set.

I agree that with Target's current inventory, I don't see them discounting much as far as LEGOs are concerned. They did pretty well on adjusting their inventory accordingly to how the economy is. Bad for us.
