Any details on the TRU Star Wars promo coming up? Any chance the promotion will be corresponding with the release of the new Star Wars summer sets?
Nice. I'll have to check that out. Just from the image I can tell there are some parts I can use. Looks like this set (30040) is part of LEGO's Atlantis promotional series. 2 other sets have been released with this one.

- 30042 Minisub
- 30041 Piranha

E! Which Target did you find those at?

I'm also debating on purchasing the game. I just want the minifig. I'm going to call later, but does anyone know if the LEGO stores are doing the same deal?
anyone have any idea on a upc or dpci number?

The mini sub or the piranha have yet to be released state side or Target at that. The only one to be released here is the Octopus 30040, I can help you with that one. I finally found it at a Super Target, I couldn't find it at at normal Targets. I don't know if that matters or if the ones people have purchased from have been Super Targets, but from my experience out of 5 Targets that I checked. That was the only one

I found mine at a regular Target, but I've only seen them at one out of about five stores.

1 store within 25 miles has it in stock, lame, i will stop at a different one after work and see if they can order it from the warehouse or something.

also, thank you for the dpci number skiizim

As for Entertainment Earth, I checked again and now my status is Pre-Soldout June 2010. I ordered on 04.12.10, so hopefully it'll still ship.
1 Item on Backorder, and getting into the order it states Pre-Soldout too. But she ordered at 5/21... hope it ships!!!!

going to call TRU if they have any... I called last week and nothing.

Really, I would think that might be a bit more than $50 ...

gallery_2351_21_84016.jpg

... I remember my last visit to TRU vividly ... you know, the one where I bought something out of the barrel with the swords and rifles ... ;)

The truck is $35 and has 280 pieces. So that tiny TRU would only be $15.

Plus as a TRU exclusive it will come out for $50 and then within three weeks cost $65.

Yeah, I was thinking $65 or maybe $60 ... I mean that mini TRU is going to add at least $20 from TRU's perspective ;)

Got my 5 minifigs from lego.com... got a nurse, magician, clown, and 2 spacemen. I was hoping for 5 different ones but oh well...

fuck ... the Shuttle Adventure isn't being released until July 1st in the LEGO stores and has been pushed to shipping June 27th on S@H ... so much for double rewards points

So there isn't anything special about next weeks giveaway at TRU. It's a Luke pen w/Vader figure or Vader pen w/Luke figure, so the two can be interchangeable.

How soon are VIP $5 rewarded to you? As soon as you hit $100? Emailed or what?

Tempting to get the Flagship and something else to round myself to get $20 and then go out and buy say the Kingdom's Castle.... but shipping is going to kill me.

$15... for the $5 in rewards, I'd still save $10 going through amazon.

thanks for the heads up prim4444

Any idea if we're talking this kind of pen -

or something more like a regular pen that says LEGO and then one of the two minifigures?

When ever I I buy high ticket items at the Lego Store, I'll usually do 2 purchases so I can get the reward on the second purchase. This has only worked for me at B&M and have no idea if it will work online like that.

I've only made purchases in store so I'm not sure about online. Your points get updated as soon as you make the purchase, but cannot be used on that same purchase. (Which is why skiizim splits his purchases.) The rewards are stored in their system and you just tell them you want to use them, no emailing or printing certificates. You can also bank them, although they'll ask if you want to redeem them everytime you make a purchase.

Like the one pictured.

My son, who is 7, loves Lego's. I'm considering getting him a Brickmaster subscription for his upcoming Bday, is it worth it?

Ordered the Gallardo LP 560-4 Polizia on Monday, decided to add 5 of the minifigs.

Got my stuff today, It turned out a lot better than I anticipated. 1 Forestman (one of two figs I needed), 1 Nurse, 1 Ninja, 1 Wrestler, 1 Caveman.

Now all I need is the Indian, and I'm set. Here's hoping my EE.com box ships.

SF Examiner has a coupon for $10 off $20 at Kohl's. Likely to be in other papers as well. I've never been to Kohl's but from the website it looks like they sell Lego.
LEGO admits they really fucked up the minifigures (which are now sold out in Europe)...

Did anyone here think they wouldn't sell an insane amount? I can't believe that LEGO can't make enough of a product that they make money on... idiots.
They specifically mention they are ending the unique barcodes but that won't change the fact that you can still feel through the bag for specific pieces... Sure it'll take more time but you'll still be able to know what you're getting ahead of time.

Well I still haven't seen any of these figures... I'm heading to TRU on Sunday and I doubt I'll ever see them.

I'm waiting for my box from EE. Expect to buy whole boxes from now on.

What's good is that series 2 will have barcodes... and they confirmed a series 3.

But I agree, they made something super popular and yet can't fulfill the demand. They didn't do this right.

What gets me is they didn't see the demand? How stupid of a company is this? Oh yeah it's LEGO, let's change colors, make things in China, have 5 shades of dark red, purple or yellow in one set. LEGO needs to get it's act together. If they were smart they start making more of series one and bump series two to the holiday time and make sure to make a shitload of them.

So what there is a series 3, big deal, no one will be able to find them anyways. A lot of places don't have a TRU or a LEGO Store so they will never be able to find these.

My area has a TRU, but not a Lego store and I haven't seen one bag or a place to display them if they were there. I've gone there multiple times and nothing.

Same here, I have one TRU... been calling and they still haven't seen these figures.

I wouldn't be so pist and negative if WM or Target carried them, but they don't either.

Honestly Lego should have made like 1 million of these things... easily affordable and everyone wants them.

The China thing is pretty evident in my clown... dude's hair sticks halfway off his head...

Little late, but I left early this morning and couldn't get back till now.....

Target has all Persia sets on sale, not like a HUGE sale, most average about 10%... BUT the lego coupon, which works on regular sets than the 3 advertised that Target still has that expires today, can take off another $3 bucks.

Picked up the Desert attack for $6 and two of the Ostrich race for $15 each.

Rant on TRU:

Looks like my TRU will NOT be getting any of the Lego Minifigs. :bomb::bomb::bomb::censored:fuck

Is it OK if I call it a disaster now?
Is it OK if I call it a disaster now?
It's definately a disaster... fortunately I have pre-ordered a box from EE.

Whenever that gets here.....

As for TRU... I'm tempted to get a gallon of Glitter next time I'm in store and go ape-shit with it.

They say their DC has them, but they don't have any expecting deliveries nor do they have any shelf space for them. There is only one TRU within 80 miles here... next one isn't for 100, and the one after that isn't for another 250 miles.

I have only 2 lego stores remotely near me and they are both at least 400 miles away on either side....

If these aren't going to WM or Target... this is the ultimate failure.

I'm tempted to write to LEGO and tell them how big they screwed up on this.

I don't know why they aren't at Target and Walmart, LEGO gives both those stores exclusive sets, so why not a little (from what I have heard the boxes are tiny) box on minifigures?

LEGO doesn't care, they realized they fucked this up big time and they are already going to fit the barcode thing for the third series. But if they can't make enough for a supply what is the point?
I don't know why they aren't at Target and Walmart, QUOTE]

Neither store has put out any summer sets, once they do, they'll have them...they may only get two boxes, but they will get them.
Amazon has the Cafe Corner for $119.99 with free shipping (and no tax in most states). This is the cheapest I've seen so far for this set in online/B&M store.
Wow! That's pretty cheap than Lego Star Destroyer. :p

Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and looking forward to giving and receiving the latest news on LEGO deals. I found this forum while scouring the web for information on the minifigure fiasco.
I'm in the same boat as most of you on the minifigures - I ordered on 6/4 from EE when it still said "Pre-Order" and my current status says: "Backorder", and clicking into the order it says "Pre-Sold Out - June 2010" -who knows if I'll get it or not.
I also placed an order of 5 from S@H, which just arrived and I will open when I get home and report my mix. Can anyone confirm that if I place another order now, it won't be cancelled?

My deal report:
Wal-Mart clearance (YMMV): $70 Galactic Enforcer (if you don't see a shelf tag for it, it either already sold out or went to the clearance aisle). Check up and down all toy aisles for a small clearance area, or check near the garden stuff for a whole clearance aisle (this is what most stores do).

If you guys have Borders around you and are looking for the minifigs then you might want to check there. I'm reading that Borders on the east coast have been receiving them and selling them @ $2.99 each. I'm going to check my local stores after work.

Also, Bricklink isn't a bad option either. Average price is $3 from a US seller and considering how many times some of you waste gas by physically checking a TRU or LEGO store, it's really not that bad.

I talked to my account rep at EE earlier this morning. As it stands, all pre-orders that have been placed are good, but advises that orders that were placed close to the sold out date have a possibility of being cancelled.

Welcome to the forum.

It's going to be tough hunting those mini figs down since they already announced a series 2 already, so when most retailers get their Series 1, that might be it.

In regards to the $70 Galactic Enforcer, its actually going for $75 shipped via Amazon. So, its probably the same price once you total tax at Walmart.

Too bad that's a whole $1 more... I'd be tempted but it'll get pricy to pick up more than say 5...

When was the sold out date? I think I ordered on the 21 or 24th... if that gets cancelled... someone's head at LEGO is rolling...

Not really a deal but TRU has two deals that stack.

Buy $25 in Toy Story toys and get a free ticket.

Free Lego pen/ mini fig with lego purchase $19.99 and up.

My wife bought over $25 worth of lego Toy Story and would have got both if the TRU would've had the Lego pen/ mini fig. The manager told her to come back on Wed with receipt to get the pen/fig.

I ordered mine early in the morning on Friday 6/4, and I believe the PRE-SOLD OUT notice appeared on Saturday 6/5, so it doesn't look good for me. However, the pre-order was still open after I placed my order and later in the day on Friday too.
