Unfortunately, in publicly-traded companies there's a lot of pressure to accept the lowest bid because as they say "the line must go up." Short-term gains over long-term strategy; enshittification is real. It probably helps that they can offload any criticism to LRG - kinda like how musicians can just blame Ticketmaster for high prices.

The problem with LRG producing meme content otherwise is that it takes too long to ship. The jokes dead by the time they get involved and products are in customers hand.
