Lips - Starring Superstar Singing Sensation Duffy
no, only the wireless mics that come with the game will work.
bummer. thanks. gonna have to try to find it cheap
Where can I get this cheap, I want the mics before they start
individually selling them.
Target

Any word if Activision is going to patch the GH games to work with these mics? Got this for 12.48 at Target clearance today and I'm disappointed the mics don't work with GH but they do with Rock Band.

nope, activision does not support it's older games. You can pretty much answer your question by looking how they handled GH3 supporting the Rock Band guitar. Nope and they don't plan on patching it.

OK do the wireless Lips mics work with GH 5 then? I'm not super up on the music game scene (get all my music games on clearance) and I see articles about GH Metallica and RB 2/Beatles supporting the Lips mics, but didn't see anything about GH 5.
Do you have #1 hits?
I have #1 hits. It has 4 avatar awards. One of them is for singing any song I believe. Your reward is a huge hat.

For some strange reason I like this game .

I don't sing in any other game but I'll do it in this one .
I think it's because I know it annoys others .

Anyone still playing? I might get the bundle soon.

One question though: can you import the songs from the expansion discs and then ditch them if you have the original Lips game?

when Lips started off, I said okay cool something that others might want to play so at the time (my ex gf now) I bought and hoped I would be able to import/export the tracks like rock band but nope, no luck. Since then, I haven't purchased any other lips games nor much of the dlc really. I don't want 4 different lips games piled up taking up space and all especially when it's the least played music game here.
No. It uses a "disc swap" system so you need them in order to play those songs.
Man, they missed the boat on that one. I still might pick it up if it drops again at K-Mart.

Some decent sales on songs this week, until July 12.

No one has talked in here for a while, but I wanted to ask a question about the MP3 plug-in feature.

How well does it work in regards of getting rid of singer's voice and just making it an instrumental track? If Lips does it pretty much perfectly, I think I'll go and get the bundle, not really interested in the Lips songs, I just want a cheap karaoke machine in my house.

It's piss poor at best, in regards to that. You're doing nothing but singing over an mp3 track with no words and very little, if any, reduction in voice.

If you have any interest in singing games however, it's one of the best series out there.

I think I will go tonight and get the game. I'm still disappointed that I didn't buy the cheap songs this summer from the Marketplace. I just bought Def Jam Rapstar, and really enjoy that game, so I'm sure this one will be fun.

You can get a few different versions of this for cheap if you look hard enough. I know Amazon has both bundles on the cheap right now. I have every version except Party Classics (which I can't find).

I hate how they updated & patched the original Lips to incorporate #1 hits and put them together as far as avatar awards and all that stuff. I don't have #1 hits or any other lips game other than the original and don't intend on buying them. Can't import the game songs into another game so that sucks and having to disc swaps sucks too. BLAH

Interesting... I was wondering when the update for last week was coming, but I never saw it. I know they dumped a HUGE amount of 80's tracks on the store earlier in the month. All of those came from the imported I love the 80's disc.
