Ohhh Linkin. You probably already have one... haha.

1up contest is up, answer: Over 60.
thanks man, submited.

bah, I've all but given up on getting in on the beta, but I'm gonna buy it day 1 anyway. looks soooo good. Here's to hoping (prolly already announced, but I haven't been keeping track very well) that there's a good community site for rating creations and stuff. With games like this, I almost miss Tips and Tricks. I loved their Armored Core design section.
This game is worth every penny I'm going to pay for it. I don't know how I lived before this beta came along.
I just stabbed you mentally

Hey guys, you know how much I love you all... And look at my signature. It's so sad, it's LBP and it's not in the beta.

So come on folks! Lend me your BETA KEYS! I will make a level dedicated to you... and it will have wiener robots.

Please! I'm so bored! *cries*

The only problem that I seem to be having with the game (other than the crashing of my shitty router) is that if you connect textures with hazards, you're screwed because then everything becomes hazardous that's connected. You have to be very careful.

But in all honesty, the beta, right now, is the Game of the Year. That's how good this game is. And I can't wait to see the uncompressed textures and audio of this game.

Time for a moment of shameless self promotion.

So I just published a level I've been working on A LOT since I got the beta last week. It's called Murder in LBP and tries to get a film noir tone (originally I had it black and white only; but before publishing it I changed it to a faint color pallet so you could better distinguish blood and such). I can't promise it has the most amazing design you've seen, but I feel it does do some pretty unique stuff. It plays more like adventure game than anything. You search for clues (stickers) and paste them on analyzers which tell you info about them and where to go next.

I'm not fully sure how the LBP system of finding levels works, but if anyone plays it I'd love some feedback.

On side a note I encountered several problems/things I'd like to see changed in the full version.
-When a flat surface is glued to an object and the object is bumped, the flat surface loses connectivity.
-Randomly I would have objects that were glued to the background become connected to other objects. (This presented some notable problems that caused me a lot of work).
-In general the gluing system has a lot of problems. It seemed like whenever I would glue something other stuff (which I didn't want glued) would become glued.
-From Edit 3: The game needs a way of warning you when a word is going to make your dialogue box censored. For Example: "Analysis" was censored due to anal making my level unplayable.

It would also be nice to have:
-A way of knowing where points of your level are breaking. Sometimes when I would press play I would hear that horrible breaking sound but not be able to see the point where my creation was failing. In such situations I would have to scour the entire level bit by bit to find that point.
-A way to set sound affects to play no matter where the player is. This would allow for custom music. I set up some of my own songs but you could only hear them when Sackboy was nearby.
-The Sticker system makes it pretty difficult to color the sides of objects.
-I'd also like a system for combining mutltiple stickers to a single reusable sticker.

That's just a few things, but you get the idea. Anyway this is an earlier build than the final game so I'm hoping at least some of this is addressed.

Edit: Already 4 people have hearted my level. One person even commented and said "brilliant!" That gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Edit 2: When playing my level off the internet some of my text is garbled(replaced by ***s). Does anybody know why? It plays fine locally and doesn't say anything that could be consider bad. (The garbled text should say "welcome to fingerprint analysis" and "welcome to DNA analysis."

Edit 3: So it turns out you can't say analysis because it contains the word anal. I fell this is ridiculous. I'd be fine if the game would have let me know it would be censored or had only censored the anal part. But to replace an entire dialogue box integral to my level...

This is definitely the craziest frenzy over a beta I've ever seen. Joystiq's day 2 question has like 2,000 comments for 10 keys. I wonder how 360 owners must be feeling about now...

I signed up for the beta at Gametrailers.com and X-Play's website. If I don't get in I'm going to be totally bummed. If anyone has an extra beta code please let me know.

I'm liking the positive reactions I am seeing about the beta. Was a little worried the community aspect of the game would be lacking, but this game definitely seems to be attracting a lot of gamers and will probably have a pretty large community.

Some of the levels people are making are pretty cool. The Shadow of the Colossus level is pretty cool EXCEPT for the fact that if you die, you basically have to restart the entire level over again. The 2 Heist levels are amazing.

I also found out that there is a limited amount of lives you have per level.

You are sending this stuff to the developers, right? Never too early for feedback.
That's what the white circle around the spawn points are for.
Well, I died, and a couple of things that help you progress through the level do not come back.

I told my son I would get into the beta, but no luck in contests, cant be by my pc all day, I have a life so I guess im not gonna get a beta key, I hate dissapointing my son but thats real life, and no im not gonna beg for a code but if theirs an extra one I would take it, they should just release it on psn, or get in with a preorder.
