Little Big Planet - Gen. Discussion & Info
Go to your item list - they have tutorials as well. Those that have tutorials that you haven't seen have question marks next to them. Or something.
Yes, but NONE of them have question marks or anything on them and im sure i got everything yet no trophy :(

Got this for xmas. I just played little dead space. Good stuff. I want to make a zombie level when I've collected more items. "Night of the little dead" or something :p
I'm still only on the jungle levels. Zola or whatever.

Just got the offical ps3 headset from the bestbuy deal. Anyone with a mic wanna help me set it up online so i know the volumes not to loud for the others players and such. I tried playing online but no one i played with had mics so i couldnt hear them and when i would ask if they could hear me they would never answer.

Just add me on PSN : icebrg5

In case you didn't notice, on the official mic, the volume down button is on top and volume up is on the bottom. First time I set it up I couldn't hear it anything till I notice that.

That depends on which ear you have it in. Your right ear and volume + is on top a - is on bottom.Left ear its opposite.

Also i could hear myself in the earpiece when i set the output to the headset but that would be rather annoying playing a game and hearing everything you say.I just wanna play with someone else with a mic so i know my levels are set correctly.

OK, just got this game and love it. But some total newb questions:
How do you search for user created levels?
Can you search for obnes by name? Star rating? If so, how?
Can you download online levels to your hard drive? How?

Thanks!!!
Yo Darkness, You the one that made that Dead Space level?

That is TOPS man, great stuf.
Thank you sir! Much appreciated. Working on LDS2 if anyone wants to jump into my level and give me some critiques (I'm looking at you Rolento) please give me a message!

Also @ MIC COMMENT
I just got the official Mic as well, been wanting to use it but the only person I have played with that has a mic was some random little boy in my Pod alone. It was REALLY awkward. I was scared the Chris Hansen sackboy was going to come in...

Anyone having PSN issues? I keep getting prompted to update the game but it keeps logging me out before downloading the game patch, so I cant play.

The littledeadspace level was amazing. So far its one of the 2 or 3 community made levels that havent made me extremely frustrated. Great job Darkness.

Cool man thank you.

Does anyone know how to make text "appear"? I've seen it done in the Sony Press Conference level and the Tic Tac Toe level (the one where the X's just appear like a sticker was placed by a computer...) do you just have a flat planed letter appear? Or can you do stickers on emitters?

from what ive heard, the devs don't even know.

anyway, wish i was home to play this but i'm in puerto rico. the women are amazing :bouncy:

mykevermin: just hearted you and a couple of your levels - hope that helps you get to the platinum...

When I finally get my level created I hope CAGs can help me get the "Create" trophy...

I have the official bluetooth headset and I'm still never sure if people can hear me or not. Cept the one time I met someone else who had one and well.. it was about as Awkward as Dark's experience

Thanks!!!
If you scroll down past story you can pick search in community and then you can filte by rating and hearting and top. You can keyword search but I can't figure out how to search by user name. You can find your friends levels. And if you find a level you can find more by that author but I couldn't find an author by searching. I don't think you can download the levels to your drive for offline play.

Screw women and nice relaxing weather! Come play LBP!

Nah, have fun man!

Thats the idea...
So I bought the MGS stuff. where do i play the levels?
go to the little big planet store under community
Is there a way to find the levels you hearted? I don't see that in the search option.
I think that's somewhere under the left moon... It's been a while since I played.
I think that's somewhere under the left moon... It's been a while since I played.
Correct. I go to left moon -> my levels -> then click on your username. It'll show levels you've hearted and people you've hearted.

anyone know of a way to fix the MGS pack glitch where it dosn't save progress? before I left for puerto rico, I noticed it wiped a few of my 100% items on a few levels... oh well.

Anyone know how I can play through the story mode with multiple players to get the x2, x3, and x4 stuff? Randomly people keep trying to join me, but i get a connection error 100% of the time so I'm guessing its me :(

I don't have problems playing w/ others online, just when I have others join me in story mode. Also, is there a way for me to join others or what?

TOTAL NEWB here
Get a friend and from your pod, invite them into your game. They'll show up in the pod, then you launch into a level together.
I was more referring to online people I don't know randomly popping into my games...

For some reason I keep seeing connection errors and nobody can join me :(

Sorry I didn't join earlier Wlogan, I was trying to finish up the MGS levels.

I reciprocated your heart; I need 9 more for the share trophy, so feel free to heart me, post here or message me in game, and I'll get you back.

Just create and share trophies away from platinum.

You have to delete a lot of community items from your poppit, then you'll be able to save again.

I wish it would just stop saving community items when it hit the point where saving was no longer an option...

Appreciate it - I'll get a level created soon enough I hope. Noticed you were playing the MGS levels so I wasn't upset you didn't join. I just hate not having a second controller yet so I can't get the bubbles in story mode w/o having a friend pop-in...

Where can I get a cheap controller :)

Something like this may have been posted already but there are 170 pages in this thread.

Ok, so help me out. I was thinking of buying this game and had rented it before. Honestly I didn't give it the time it deserved and tossed it back before totally falling in love with it.

What type of demographic is this game made for? And how deep is it really? Is it only good for those that spend the time creating levels? I'm a creative type, no worries there, but do I only get out of the game what I put into it?

I keep hearing so much about LBP and feel I didn't give it the time it deserved.

Worked a lot more on Little Dead Space 2, if anyone wants to walk through and critique it let me know... I spent like 7-8 hours working on it and you can run through it in about 1-2 minutes. *sigh...* It's about 30-40% done.

Just bought the mgs pack and costumes today. The story mode was over waaay to quickly to be worth six dollars but it is fun. I love how MM understands their community. Who else would mock the people who make trophy levels? That was the funniest thing I've seen in a game in a looong time. I'm trying to figure out an idea in my head for a level (I still haven't touched the creation part yet).

Oh and if anybody still needs to run through story mode let me know. I need to get all the co-op items so pm me please!

Hehe... I updated Bears Crazy Maze. Everyone said it was to boring, so I made it more exciting. I just changed it all in the past 2 hours lol, so it isn't perfect. But it makes me laugh...

Let me know if I should be the original back.

How do you update Published levels? Do you go to your level in your Moon, update that, then overwrite the one that's published?
The littledeadspace level was amazing. So far its one of the 2 or 3 community made levels that havent made me extremely frustrated. Great job Darkness.
Hey, I think I saw that level a few times but not being interested in Dead Space I skipped it. The kids wanted to try it though ;). We'll check it out tomorrow.

So, got my PS3 set up Christmas day and once I popped this game in the next day that is ALL the kids want to play now. They played it for several hours yesterday and today I hooked them up with online accounts and now the replayabilty is pretty much endless. And they haven't even gotten into level creation yet.

I definitely want to do so myself, too, but I'll have to play for a while to come up with ideas. So, in terms of these trophy things (and Myke - kind of surprised to see you so into them ;)) which ones are hard to get? And is there something about only being able to get some in DLC levels (MGS)?

I'd definitely be up for 3x and 4x stuff as I can play along with one of my kids (currently have 2 controllers). I do not have a mic yet though. I also needs PSN friends - so send me some invites if you are so inclined (I'll be sending some out myself Monday night). I figure anybody into LBP enough to be reading/posting in this thread is my type of gamer so this is a good place to troll for friends ;).

Even though we're still in the "shiny new toy" phase, we definitely are glad we finally got a PS3. And dare I say it, this game is almost worth the price of the entire system... Even my daughter who has lost interest in most games (save the new Animal Crossing) wants to play and even just sit watch her brothers play (and laugh hysterically the whole time - especially at some of the weird community levels).

I agree. I played LBP at first and was like.. eh.. but the more I played it.. I was like..Wow there's a lot to this game besides simple platforming. We are only on the beginning of the 3rd world, but collecting all of these stickers/objects is addicting. I only did a handful of the level creator tutorial.

To be honest, after playing a few user created levels I'm a bit intimidated...
I know you can get really, really, really detailed..but overall, is making a decent/fun level difficult and TOO time consuming?

Again, this is coming from someone who has played more story mode then anything.. so I'm a bit ignorant with some aspects of the game.

just got the game last week, debated on returning it....went ahead and played some, i like it so far, need to add some friends on it though....add me "osugsxr"

Some user created levels are really good (especially Hallow bastion), but just understand the level you created was unique because it was created by you. ;) I understand I wouldn't make the perfect level.
How do you update Published levels? Do you go to your level in your Moon, update that, then overwrite the one that's published?
Yep.
(and Myke - kind of surprised to see you so into them ;))
Tell me about it; I'm surprised, too. Something about the 'level' aspect of it seems more appealing to me than the strict score base of 360 cheese. (to be fair, I just got my first 'perfect' cheese in a 1250/1250 on Oblivion ;))

And I earned 'create' this morning, so I'm just the 'share' trophy away from platinum and 100%. That's just a matter of time.
Well I get that, but overall is it pretty hard/difficult/OVERLY time consuming to create a good level?
timewise, I'd say yes. I suspect it's easy if you're a creative type. Which is to say, not me. But if creating an awesome level is something you want to do, then you'll do it no matter the time/effort, I suspect.

I may use my eyetoy to make some classic WWF-themed stickers. We'll see how long those last if I ever get around to it. Once I get platinum, back to Fallout 3 for me. I only played it for a minute, but my wife walked into the living room yesterday morning, expecting me to be watching Meet the Press as usual. She was instead greeted by a woman's head being removed from her body via the VATS system. "NICE GAME," she said.
anyone have issues with the sound not working on the game? The last couple times ive played the game starts with no sound at all and i have to restart the game a few times before it works.
Havent changed anything as far as cables go.

Are you using an HDMI cable? I've heard of people losing sound or video on HDMI cables when the cable starts going bad.
I just realized last night when playing online with a friend for the first time that my game has no background music. I could hear the music through his mic. All the sound effects appear to be working but I haven't had background music for a while (I know because I remember mentioning it to my wife a while back and thought maybe the level just didn't have music). It really sucks and I haven't found any solution on the LittleBigPlanet site forums.

Any ideas?

Info
1) I already checked the in-game Audio options and tried all different settings of them with music on/off.

2) I'm using HDMI to my TV and listening through the TV speakers

3) Yes, I hear other stuff like the sound effects.

4) All other games I've played have sound.
