And you're not Tip either, are you? Also, Surge is on a level above that of Mountain Dew. That's also an insult to Surge.

That you drank it is an insult to the bottlers of Surge! They tried to cultivate an image, for goodness sakes! Think of all the poor marketing people who's work went for naught!!

Must be why I didn't drink it. ;)

OK, thanks for this minute of your time.

I cant put it in words, its not quite prayer, but i hope for the best for you and your family. Good luck Saucy.

The fact that you're trying to insult me is an insult to me. When that green stream of justice reaches the porcelain god of judgement, they're satisfied with their job.

Yes, CAG advertisers, you too can reach this prime demographic for only pennies a day.

If you want to talk about what happened, I'd be more than willing to listen.

Until then, though...I'll just have to stick to vague "here's hoping everything turns out well" type sentiments.

Good luck...

It's still more of a prime demographic than you are. :D

Go 18 to 24 age bracket! More power to us, for we shall shape the advertising landscape with our fickle desires and whims!

I can taste the jealousy here in the air. It's very palpable.
Does it taste like Surge? ;)
No, Surge has a taste similar to that of satisfaction. This is more of an RC Cola taste.

This is not related to anything, but the Japanese version of "Song for the Dumped" from the rerelease of "Whatever and Ever Amen" is absolutely hilarious.

This is one of the first times I've burst out laughing at a song in a very, very long time.
My room-mate is a fucking lying dick.
More on this later.
I would expect most dicks to be the fucking kind, but lying too?

:) love it
That reminds me that i still dont have Fear of Pop on my iPod yet...

Well I don't know if you all remember or even if I mentioned it but there was a note on my door claiming we owed the apartment place money. Well Jonathan and I went down there and they claimed we owed them for both the months of Sept and Nov, because we only paid 662 and 650 instead of 829. Conviently these were the two months we had Billy get the money order for the rent. We got them to show us a copy of November's money order and sure enough it was his signature on a MO for 650.
So we now owe the apartment place 1275, and of course Billy doesn't have the money. So we're resulting to extreme measures of getting the money together to have a clean slate before they decide we need to give them late fees as well.
How could my room-mate lie to our faces? Did he honestly think he wouldn't get caught not paying his portion of the rent? He claims he doesn't remember.
So yes that's what's going on here. At least I got Jonathan's Christmas present in. I had to give it to him today so he would feel a little bit better.

What does this have to do with the Emperor from Star Wars? ;)

There's some fodder for an active imagination.

That entire situation is pretty horrible, Lulu.
Are all apartments down there that expensive? It seems like you and Johnathan would be far better of without this person around to screw with your credit.
(As a side note, is this the moron pothead, or is that the other one?)
so Billy was supposed to pay the remaining $ between 650 and 829?
pretty much.

Billy is not the pothead, he's the one who fucks with our router and owes Jonathan a bunch of money.

I'm one step away from kicking him out, since I am the main person on the lease.

As harsh as it sounds, i say cut your loses (since he owes Jonathan and you) and kick him out...bearing of course that you can still make it with just you two. Or threaten to cut off his balls. That works most of the time.

Well, judging by all of the other horror stories (mold, etc), it looks like it's almost time to find new accomidations anyway.
Yeah, I'll be done with this hellhole by August.
Hope that everything works out for you. What did you get Jonathan, by the way?

Also, thanks everyone for your prayers/well-wishes. I'm just going to try and get my mind off things for a while. I guess I'll set up my Xbox 360 that I found today. :)
Did you miss it again on the repeat?
No, I watched it. Good episode. And like saucy jack said, someone needs to make a wallpaper out of that composite sketch and the dead whale on the moon.

"It was still funny"

I'm surprised that it took the apartment complex two months to figure out that you shorted them 1/3rd of the rent for two months in a row. My apartment complex calls me the day after the grace period date (the 6th), if I forgot it, which I've done a whole two times in 7 years of living at the same place. Once, they hit me with the late fee and graced it back to me, the other time, they just didn't say anything.

Because he forgets he's still knucle-dragging when he walks is why he thought he could skip on it. All the more reason why, when I had roommates, that I dealt with all that stuff in my name, so I was final say on anything. Didn't pay me for the rent, fuck you, get out. Forgot to pay for the phone, fuck you, you don't get to use it.

Also why I decided that living alone is much more crap-free than living with roommates.
It seems like you and Johnathan would be far better of without this person around to screw with your credit.
Being late on a rent check tends to just have issues with you getting an apartment, not so much in fucking around with your credit. Miss a rent check or two, then yes, that tends to end up on your rent check

From the situation I'm understanding, that's not as easy as it sounds. 1/3rd of the rent + utilities isn't easy for some people to work through when disposing of a roommate. In this case, it's better that he's gone, though I think that it's still not easy to deal with.
Congrats. May I ask where you happened upon one? :)
A family friend in California got one and sent it to us. They had a discount on it, too, so it was a great deal. So I ended up getting a 360 for regular price. :D

Now if I can just figure out how to get it to recognize my computer (I'm on a wired router network connection), so I can stream music, I'll be all set. :)

: sigh : At least I get my paycheck from EB today.

Also, I can't wait to get that Katamari PSP cover you promised me... :)

OK, since it's the holidays... I'll let you off. Just give me a smile and your continued friendship and we're all set. ;)

I also got paid today. It's already gone, though.

I think if you're using XP, it should be easy enough to do, and on the MS help pages. If you're using MCE 2005, it should work without a single issue at all, since they're pretty much making any 360 a MCE Extender.

Actually, start here:

I should get paid today. It'll be my first substantial check in a long time: 77 hours, including holiday pay.

But after taxes and deductions I'll only end up with about $550 since I had no chargable time. :whistle2:(

OK, now just gimme your routing and account numbers so I can direct deposit it over here. ;)

Yeah, I got XP. Doesn't recognize my computer, though. I just have everything hooked up through a router.

My primary PC is set up as device 1, my laptop as device 2, and my Xbox 360 as device 3 on the router.

Hmm... time to check out MS help pages.

From the link I posted above (in my earlier post), they only want to talk to XP SP2, which doesn't surprise me, or MCE 2005.

Should work without an issue, from what I've read. You might try dropping your firewall on your PC and see if that makes any difference.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe I need to change some settings with Norton, or on my router...

I wonder what I could do...

I'll check back later to see if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks. :)

Tried turning off Norton for a while. Didn't work. Tried plugging those port settings into my router. Didn't work. Hmm...

Well my money is gone... but my paycheck will sustain me. A whopping 45.44. (Not bad for 8 hours which were pretty enjoyable)

Luckily Jonathan gets paid next week (from Target) and our employee appreciation thingie lasts the whole weekend so we can get 25% off our purchases. :bouncy: I'll finally get Guitar Hero.

It was pretty torturous talking to my mom on the phone and explaining the situation. I wasn't even asking her for money. I was just explaining it so she'd know why John couldn't afford her PSP and why I'm stressed out right now. Bleh.

I got my check today as well. But even after depositing it, I still don't have enough money to take the bus to work tomorrow. I might actually have to call in sick. Works out for the better because I owe some people some money at work and it would be best if I avoided them for now. How pathetic is that
