Hey Uma thanks for all the hard work you are putting into this league with organizing the whole deal. Yet it's a bit sour right now cause ppl sign up and not follow through so it only makes it harder on the Commish.
Like I said before you should update the OP with the times that people would be on. Since right now there is no way for me to contact SteveMQ other than PM it would be nice to look at at list of his preferred times and hopefully just meet him there.
Should be fine between 8 and 9pm EST tonight. I have to check to make sure my NAT settings are open first, before the game. And just to reiterate, my headset is busted.
damn you plutarski let me have a team I say you had the bears in another league...... I would gldly take the falcons I just want to play, let me know if you will let me have them.
Yay, league full!
However, I think I'll be booting a few more teams.
Once the final (hopefully) cuts are made, I'll post the week 2 schedule.
I'm available all night folks (Matt Young and SteveMcQ).
EDIT(SUPERUPDATE): OK, Two more teams are BOOTED.
49ers and Ravens are booted.
I sent both of them PMs last night, and both have been online today, and neither replied.
So they're finished!
SO, once those 2 spots are filled, the League should be Fully operational!
I'm going to call Week 1 over on Sunday, but I'll start Week2 tonight.
So if your going to play your games, just indicate whether its Week 1 or 2.
Thanks
All I have to say is this....if you boot the Titans owner I got first dibs.
I feel dirty each and every day that I have to play with any other team.
Anyway so did we skip week one? Because I am suppose to play SteveMQ today for the first weeks game. Oh I am brining the pain train today!
By the way anyone got any tips on returning kicks with hester? I am failing like a mofo. I cant get past the 30 every time. The blocks just dont seem to form.

Balesey, there are two more open now, 49ers or the ravens. If you want the falcons i'll swap and take one of the two remaining. Just let me know and if they are gone by the time you see this I'll give up the birds for ya.
Nah, don't skip week 1. You have until Sunday for those games.
As well as Week1 games, you can now play your week 2 games. SO, if you wanted, you could play SteveMcQ and your opponent for week 2 tonight.
CooL?
Oh...
My apologies to Quanex for booting him even though he finished his game. Needless to say, he's back in the league.
And Matt Young and I still can't connect. His NAT is moderate, but it wont change. Mine is open...
That sucks.
Great to see the games coming in again

I don't know what the deal is. It won't change, but at the same time, I can connect to everyone but you. And you can connect to everyone but me.
I know you're in Canada, but I just played a league game with a guy from the U.K. earlier today, no problem (save for minimal lag).
Bears maul the Colts 24-9. Good game Soodmeg. Sorry again for the delay to start.
Two RZ INTs really hurt. The second one, my screen was shaking and the defensive zones were going all over the place. What the hell was that about? Is that a gameplay feature?
Is it just me or does online play feel and move tons slower than single player? And how do you do running moves with the QB in the pocket? I threw a really odd looking pass at the end when I tried to do running controls.

I've never seen that feature in Madden. Just NCAA. My online experience has been buttery smooth, though.
As for running with the QB, it's right trigger to scramble behind the line and both triggers simultaneously for the running controls.
We must play sometime and catch up on things, man.
Game Highs
Rex Grossman ended the game with 155.7 QB rating throwing for 171 yards and 1 TD on 9 attempts.
A. Gonzalez had a big game for the colts bringing in 103 receiving yards on 7 catches.
Story of the game was the Bears defense piling up 7 tackles for loss of yards 5 sacks and 3 interceptions. Two of which where red zones.
Colts had a few problems with injury as both Manning and Addai missed key plays nursing injuries on the sidelines.
Brandon Mcgowan had this to say after getting two picks. "You know its always a good to start the season off right with a W and to do it against a team as quality as the Colts is all the sweeter."

HAHA, dude that was me. Its a tactic that I made up. Whenever anyone plays me I will do that if there QB is a smart QB. Its not a glitch or anything so dont worry about that.
And yes online plays hella slow it took me a long time to get used to that.

Good game Steve.

The energy in the Colts' locker room was appropriately restrained having opened up the brand new Lucas Oil Stadium with a loss.
"The line just absolutely stunk today," Colts' offensive line coach Howard Mudd stated. Mudd was referring to the overall poor play of the line both in pass-blocking and run-blocking. The initial drive featured two big losses off the bat that put the Colts in a bind and set a tone for the game.
Speaking with the spry former Hurricanes standout receiver, Reggie Wayne, he said with a wry smile, "Yeah, I wish we'd won the opener. You wanna win 'em all. It's disappointing we lost the Super Bowl to them als...oh wait...no we didn't. I think we beat 'em in the Super Bowl right? Was it the Super Bowl? Yeah, I think it was. Scoreboard. Bitches."
Just messin' with ya. I enjoyed your little write up.

Okay guess I'm in as the Browns now so whoever is the Steelers and Cowboys hit me up through PM or something and let me know what times work for you. I should be relatively free the next few days.
Hey, you know. I like this format but I hate the fact that you cant view anything about the other games.
We are trying to simulate the real NFL with the format but we are lacking all of the information that goes into a proper league. I dont know...without stats like who is the leading rusher, surprise teams, stories of hard fought battles its just a bunch guys playing slightly less random games.
I dont know I am most likely asking to much. As nerdy as this sounds the best league I was every in was because we all wrote what happened in the game on the board after wards. So at least you got some sense of what the hell was happening with the rest of the league. It didnt have to be a newspaper article but something a little more than
Week2
Seattle 21
49ers 17
(not ripping on you gift just saying.)
Again this might be me just nerding out. But hey there is a little nerd in all of us right? Right? Maybe? Ok....just me.
Do the online leagues have stat tracking?
Not that I know of.
And for Matt/SteveMcQ, I'm not available tonight, but all of Tomorrow pretty much I'm available at this point. I'm EST.
I dont know where gregthomas77 is. I have pmed him twice already and a quick search of his name says he has only posted in this thread once. An advanced search says he has only posted twice on the entire site in the last week.
But he has played his first weeks game. Hopefully he will come back.
Commish you might want to get a replacement ready.

If gregthomas77 doesnt respond and a replacement is needed for the Panthers, I want them, since they are the team I follow.
