Lions and Falcons played, was close up until the Falcons fell apart in the waning 4th qtr minutes, lol. Nice game itlnstln.

ItlnStln and I set up a time and are playing tomorrow. Between him playing his first week's game and making first contact about our game, it seems like we can add him to the list of guys who are dedicated and will make this league work. Nice to know, since I'll be playing him twice this season!

Since I don't think our game will ever win, you'll get the win this time, and I'll get the win in Week 10. OF COURSE, if we ever manage to get it working, those will change.

Do we have a deadline for week 2 yet? My schedule through the weekend is looking kind of tight (lots of stuff going on with the Holiday and all). I just want to make sure I'll enough time to get my game in.

No idea. I've seen to damn many Viking/Packer games that come down to 3 points, so...

And to andjuan, does a deadline of Friday sound good (next friday) Or should it be Sunday? I think Week 1+2 should be 2 weeks, then the rest of them 1 week.

Recap:
The final score of this game is very deceiving. The key parts of this game all took place in the 1st and 2nd quarter. I win the coin toss and I elect to kick to get the ball first in the second half.
Redstar makes quick work of my defense on the first drive pulling off a 34 yard scamper by SJax on one of the first few plays of the game breaking at least 3 tackles one of which was at the line of scrimmage.

He gets to about my 20 and I hold him down to a field goal, which was very fortunate b/c his offense drove down the field very quickly and with minimal effort.
I get the ball back on the kick off I drive down to his 44 yard line with 4th and 8. I decide to go for it b/c at this point his offense seems to be very strong and I make it. I continue driving down the field and throw about a 15 yard seam to Boss down the middle of the field with one on one coverage for the TD.

I take the lead 7-3. He gets the ball on the kick-off and goes 3 and out. I get the ball and get stopped at my 35 yard line so I punt away. The punt is short and my defender gets right in front of his face before he catches the ball. Redstar doesnt call for fair catch and he gets hit immediately and fumbles the ball and I recover the fumble and take it to the house making it 14-3 at that point. It is 17-7 at halftime and I get the ball to start the second half. The rest is history.

Also guys lets try to knock out some of these games over the long weekend. Its a holiday so we know yall $$$$a anit working!

I've attempted to get a hold of my Week 1 and 2 opponents. 1 I've heard from, but we haven't set anything up yet. It has been a little hard as I was a late replacement.
 
Thanks for the kudos on the recap everyone. I just wanted to make it more interesting and I will do a recap even if I lose just to put the game into context and it is not just score.

Azu-maybe we can get this thing to work as long as we keep rotating people in and out.

How am I in danger of being kicked out?! I played my week 2 game like 4 days ago, and my week one opponent is never on! From what I can tell from xbox.com he's on at night around 3:30am. I don't think its fair, i jumped in the league late and now i look bad because the guy i'm matched up with hasnt played either of his games?

Ejection??? My last guy quit and I'm still trying to play the same game with a new player.

I dont think he is being super pushy. All he wants is to make an official comment about the week one games.

The fact that you posted your situation should be fine.

How about this as an suggestions.....we boot the people who are not respond and have one of us just take over their spot until we get a new person. That way the people like pope and john are not always waiting for a new person to get their stuff together.

I would gladly play pope or johns week one game just to get them done.....not a problem for me. I will also be glad to go right back tot he bears (you can quote me on this later if I pitch a stink) once we find replacements.

Like I said I am a freelancer Broadcaster...so I have a very lose schedule. If I can help out its not problem.

Don't worry guys, I didn't mean to be pushy. In fact, I knew you guys are the ones that are really dedicated and I knew you'd be the first to respond. I just wanted to know whats up with the games.

I just want the league to keep running. I just listed names to alert people mostly that the week 1 deadline is coming up and they haven't finished there games. If there are problems getting your games done just let me know because I know that 6 of the 8 people I listed are new and or have been having trouble with their opponent.
I just wanted to catch your attention :D

EDIT: OH YEAH, the Dolphins are available. Don't worry, Jets player, I'm not kicking you out if you can't get your game done by Sunday

I actually picked the game up this year, and I'm a Phins fan, so I'll take them. I'm not too sure when I'll be available to play, maybe tonight, and if not tonight, then definitely sometime Sunday.
 
I've already played my week 2 game, just waiting for someone to take over the Dolphins spot so i can complete my week 1 game! Not that it matters. I suck hardcore, especially when Tom Brady can strip the defender that intercepts his pass and get the ball back! LOL

I'll confirm both scores posted for my games are legit. I also have some highlight vids, but I'm not at home right now so I'll get to that later.

I really stunk it up against the Cowboys, ugh. The Pittsburgh I had a nice third quarter. I just gotta fix my run defense and really not through upteen interceptions and I should be alright. Good games though.

You had me scared in the 3rd you went right down the field twice and scored those fast 16 points cutting my lead down to 16-24. I thought your run defense was very solid after the one big 70+ yard run by Parker you shut me down pretty good.
 
Okay I finally got my week one game in against sj41.

New England: 20
Kansas City: 14

Highlights of the game from a very snowy (wtf) Gilette stadium. Brady didnt have one of his best games, but did manage one strike to his go to guy Randy Moss. The high powered NE offense was shut down by a very impressive KC defense, and KC quickly tied it with a 99 yard kickoff return for a score.

With the fleeting passing game NE turned to Laurance Maroney to carry the offense, managing tough yards and eating up clock Maroney convered several third downs and managed a TD. The game seemingly out of reach at 20-7, KC scored late with a 25 yd TD to Bowe bringing the game to a 20-14 score.

But alas the comeback was not to be, after a failed onside kick Brady took a knee to end the game.


Sidenote: sj41 was really cool to play with, he punted and played an actual football game

Wow nice job everyone. It would be awesome if the league starts hitting its stride. It looks like everyone who we have in the league is very serious about playing their games.

Chiefs - 17

One of the craziest games I've ever played. Russell gave up 5 ints and Croyle/Thigpen gave up 6. Defense was the main theme of the game. Very close scores throughout the whole game

Playing the game right is the best way. That game was very fun.

There were a shitload of INTs in my Raiders game, and I had one terrible one in the endzone. This was really frustrating, but I laughed a lot so it's okay. Definitely felt like I could have won this one, but I'll get better.

Sorry for not having a mic if you two wanted to talk. I was talking to my dad during both games while he was on his computer.

Do you guys prefer talking during games? I'm on the phone, talking to my dad or talking to some friends on XBL when I play for the most part. If you guys ever want to talk while you're playing me, send me a text saying so.

Also, my 99 yd kickoff return for a TD was the best thing I've ever done in Madden. :)

best play of the Jets Dolphins game was when i took favre on a run to the outside, and he got completely drilled. Whoever drilled him was injured on the play, it was awesome!

We were slaughtered by 5 disconnects. The last one was the fucking EA servers. It was going sooooo smoothly too.
 
Im 4 Obama we are gonna have to pick up and play that game when I get back. I scored early in the 3rd and TO got hurt making that TD catch and the connection was lost. We can either start a new game from scratch or we can play 2 quarters with the score starting @ 14-7.
Im not sure about this idea but we might have to check in with the League Comissioner 1st regarding disconnected games.
