Madden 10 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE (Tournament)- LOTS OF TEAMS AVAILABLE!

That is cool everybody is entitled to their own opinion, This is informal typing for me it's a good thing this won't affect my 3.1 gpa, lol

What was the trade?

Sorry I haven't responded much recently. I've spent the last couple days going crazy over looking for Universities. I'm really interested in USC and NYU, so if somebody knows about these schools (specifically the film programs), let me know and I'll be your BFF. I have to start thinking about this stuff for applications in January or so. Its so intense! I'm also keeping an eye out on Canadian schools, but they have nothing on USC or NYU in terms of film....

Anyway, I'll get the waiver order in tune for Week 5. My apologies for the delay. Do you guys know the best way to go about enforcing the order?

Also, this is a great week for completion! There are only 2 games to go, and I believe the Lions/Steelers are supposed to play tonight. Chiefs/Cowboys is also unplayed, but perhaps its getting played tonight as well! Regardless, the week will advance Thursday night (unless all the games are done, then it will be earlier).

itlnsln (Lions) looks like he won't be able to make our game tonight again. We made an arrangement to play on Monday, which something came up last minute for him and we agreed to reschedule. I let him know that tonight 9pm EST would work but never heard anything back. PM'd him this morning to confirm just so I wouldn't waste time hanging around like I did on Monday -- and lo and behold it's 10pm EST with no response from him. Also sent him a friend request a few days ago and he hasn't accepted it yet.

I assume it's something out of his control, but just so he knows as well as the rest of the league knows -- I'm definitely TRYING to make contact and get our games done. All my other opponents can attest that I'm all about getting the games done ASAP to not hold the league up. Regardless, looks like this game is just going to be simmed unless I hear from him tonight (doubtful).

Welcome back Azu, was getting worried!
As far as waiver order, can't u just enforce it? Make the list, everyone goes in order, each person has 48 hours tops to make their pick(s), and then its the next team in lines turn to pick. It would be just Like the draft but a bigger window. Any one who doesn't go in order must release the player they signed or gets kicked. From the league.

Here's how waivers worked in the other league I'm in:

Order was determined by record, with the tiebreaker being team rating (worst was first for both, obviously). Each player then sent a list to the commish of the players they wanted and in what order. Then the commissioner went through and conducted a 3 round "draft" by going through the lists and awarded each team a player based on their preference. If everyone on a team's list had been taken already, they were skipped and didn't get anyone.

After this was finished the list was posted with who got who and everyone manually signed their players. Following the draft it was more or less a free for all on whatever players hadn't been drafted, as at this point it was mostly scraps and there weren't any players worth fighting over.

Homeland's method would definitely work, but the above may be better just because it would take less time. Give everyone X days to get their list in, if they don't get it in at that point, oh well. Figure out the draft immediately after that, post it and FAs are taken care of.

I like BigAt suggestion. Because if we have to wait for someone to pick then move on to the next person it will take forever.
good game dt. once again the niners lose. two turnovers, a gore fumble returned for a td. had more yards just couldn't get it into the endzone.

Jason hill broke his ribs in the game. luckily he's not a key player.
Good game RAM.

I like BigAT's idea. Everyone has until the end of week 5 deadline to send in a list.

If no list is sent to you that just means they do not participate in "the draft."

I have a friend that goes to USC for film school. She said she likes it. USC as in University of Southern California, correct? I can't really say much about the film school. Technically, USC is in the ghetto area. UCLA students like to point that out. My brother's fiance just graduated from the USC med school. She's now a Trojan for life, even though she went to UCI before that. The campus is really nice though, and of course, they have really good athletics. Heard that tailgating the USC football games is an awesome experience.

Hppe that helps, Azu.

If you visit NYU I think the experience of being in the city will speak for itself not to mention I equate it to be a better school than USC for education.

Azu, I know nothing about either program but I have to assume they are both top notch. Definitely don't forget to consider the location and climate! I just moved to NYC a little over a year ago and I absolutely love it, but winters are brutal. If you're living in a place that gets rough winters already I would highly recommend giving yourself a little break from that and enjoy sunny southern Cali. Just my 2 cents.

that sounds like a better way of doing it

Alright guys I went through and made the waiver wire list. Let me explain it really quick. I simply took BigATs example but tweaked slightly to involve our player skill by basing the order on point difference. If you are getting blown out every game by 40 points clearly to need a little more help regardless of your over all team rating. The point of this is to get the people who are not doing so well the best chance to turn their season around. After block C is done just make it a free for all assuming EA has the team restriction to 53 players on.

Also, Block D, before you go ape shit about not being ranked remember that the FA IS NOT 21 players deep. There is probably only at most 10 players in FA that will make a difference and they will be snatched far before we ever get a chance. Plus we are the best in the league we shouldnt be hording the best players anyway.

With that, here is the list I came up wit.

EDIT: BAAAAAAAAAAAAH Cheap ass gamer always fucks up the columns I put in place. Sorry its hard to read but I type everything in word and copy paste it over and CAG always ignored the borders and such. Hopefully you can make it out.

Cowboys/Steelers/Eagles/Colts OWNERS

I'm looking to get a half back so would any of you be willing to part with an RB from the list below?

Felix Jones
Rashard Mendenhall
Lesean McCoy
Donald Brown

After hours of negotiation, Mr Grand Cru and Legendairy Milk were able to come to terms yesterday at 3:20 pm .....

The Panthers traded Deangelo Williams, N. Diggs, R. Robinson, to the Bengals for Chad Ochocinco, Ray Maualuga, Keith Rivers, and A First round Draft Pick for the upcoming season.

did you move from a warm climate area? NYC winters are not brutal at all, lol.

Point differential is a fine wrinkle to use as the tiebreaker, I disagree though about there being only 21 potential free agents though. Having already gone through a "draft" in my other league, I was able to add two valuable players to my team despite being #23 on the waiver wire. I think the extra couple of minutes required to do the remaining teams is well worth avoiding any potential arguments over who deserves who.

Yes, that is the case.

Nope, CT. But you do much more walking out in the elements here (to and from subways, buses, to bars, ec). I mean, they aren't Maine brutal but they are not fun at all.

Thats fine.....you guys work me like a slave....A SLAVE I TELL YOU!

Last couple teams will be up in a minute.

it makes me so sad to see my name at the top of the list...

ill take a look at the wire, but im fairly certain who i want already.

that being said, i might be selling my 360 because im hard on cash right now. when and if i do sell it, the league will be notified well before hand so a replacement can be found. in the mean time i have 100% intentions of playing out my games. this is not set in stone and just something im considering. but in all fairness i wanted to bring it up in case it does happen.
franky im looking for LB relief if u have anything to offer.
I'll check and offer something, so keep an eye on the offered trades, you'll have something coming soon!!

Well, I'm in Canada, so I know what a brutal winter is like :)
I'm leaning towards USC at this point, but I'll definitely be doing everything I can to apply to both. Although it seems like they are both really hard to get into...
I just picked up my SAT prep book today, and will be going over it at least a couple hours each day until December 5th (Test day!).
Over the next bit I'll be finding out my GPA, as its virtually impossible to calculate it by yourself. Apparently CDN schools have a calculator thing. I have an A average though.

Anyway, YES you can be sending lists now!
Also, it doesn't look like the 2 games will be played tonight (from what I've heard), so I may just sim within half an hour if somebody wants to get in some games before...

THE OFFICIAL NFL KICKOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, if you go to USC, you can both hang out with me and learn the ways of the ghetto! Not at the same time, of course.
I am on now to play my game - do not sim. I messaged jaydub514 - but no response yet.
SIM MY SHIT! Gotta go. Good game JayDub - see you again in the playoffs...

also Bills, I messaged you on XBL but feel free to let me know when you want to play here. if we advance in the next 10-15 mins I'd be up for playing then.

The above is being followed. So far I've gotten one list. You're going to have until Wednesday night to send me them. Take your time and think about them...

I'll say it here: RANK YOUR PLAYERS! So to the guy who sent me his list, please send it with a ranking!
Itlnstln, while you are here, please let me know of your preferred play times for the upcoming week.
Haha, good luck with that -- got shafted twice by this guy.

We might need to start looking into alternate methods of completing games when one person flakes out. Simply simming it seems like a grossly unfair way to decide.

I can see this becoming a problem the longer the season goes.

Also Seen when do you want to play?
I can play today at 7:30pm EST (ish because I might be slightly late getting home)
After 4pm Tomorrow
All day Sunday.

In another league I'm doing I've just been booting out and reinviting people who are to blame (vacation, mia, etc). It's worked out great so far.
