Okay, everyone. So this is what me and Azu have been talking about this last week about next season. The plan is we combine this league with my league, so we should be looking at around 15 teams if our assumptions of the amount of people who would stay are correct.
The league would be a complete restart. This would give us a chance to use the updated rosters, and if we're far enough in the NFL free agency period I wouldn't mind personally updating the rosters further. For example, Rolle to the Giants, Rhodes to the Cards, Cromartie to the Jets, all stuff EA won't update until Madden 11.
We would also advance one full season and start the year with the rookie draft. I know a lot of teams in my league (and I'm sure it's true here too) drafted players in key positions like QB because who they had in year 1 was just awful. Instead of having to suffer with the default roster for a whole season, we can do that.
With that all said, I'm sure we are open to other suggestions also. The idea was to combine the leagues so it was fair for both leagues and still allow people to make the improvements they did to their previous teams. Everyone moving to one, already active league really isn't an option. And playing another season of 6-9 players isn't really that fun. So hopefully this is the best of both worlds and people will stick around for another one. Please let me know what you think and if you'll be sticking around for another season.
