Ok, I've PMed just about everyone who hasn't responded in this thread (few more to go).
Ubernes, best bet is to start sending out invites via Madden and then letting people know in this thread/a new thread that they have an invite waiting for them.
 
is there a list of teams available... i will easily give up the dolphins to the other guy that had them in the other league.

Hey Azu, thanks for the PM about the league starting up again! Too bad the Pats just got taken.. I guess I'll give it a try, though I should warn you I've never played Madden online before so I'm fully prepared to be crushed..

Just a heads up, it's my understanding that you're only allowed to advance the league one week every half hour. So it could take you a fair amount of time to get us to the rookie draft.
 
Since I'm coming in late to the party would someone mind catching me up on how the league works, etc? Especially in terms of transactions, draft, etc (I saw no free agent pick-ups). I'm a Madden vet but a total neophyte as far as online leagues go.
 
You already covered free agent pickups. The plan is, since we're merging 2 leagues into this new one, to sim the first season and start off at the 2010 rookie draft. The draft takes place live, with a set amount of time (I think 30 seconds at most) in between picks.
 
Just a heads up... Lethal Swag and Deuce20602 is the same person. I had to create another profile cuz for some reason, my password wouldnt work and they wouldnt send me a new one. From now on, i'll be using Deuce20602 since thats my gamertag as well.

Can someone fill me in on how this merger is going down? Do I have to join another league cuz i'm not too excited about leaving my Super Bowl runner up Ravens :D
 
Quick update: Missed my changeover flight so I got stuck in Chicago last night and I'll just be getting back home tonight. With that said, I'm about halfway through simming the first year (the 30 min thing is true) and will do another chunk tonight as well as update any roster moves I missed in the last week.

I'll post the league info and send invites hopefully tomorrow and we should be able to conduct the draft sometime this weekend. We should start talking about times. I dunno if there's march madness games then but 1-4pm est area either day works.

Unsigned free agents are still on their original team even if they were cut. The FA pool would be a clusterfuck if I did it any other way. so for example, for the few days Thomas Jones was meeting with teams after he was let go by the Jets, he was still on the Jets roster.

edit: Deuce, it pained me to add Boldin to your roster lol. I'm excited to play with the new Jets roster, but I don't know if I improved (lost Jones, Rhodes, gained Cromartie, LT) enough to beat you if there's a 2nd meeting in the playoffs.

Hey, the original post of the thread has the Broncos as taken, but the last post, which I guess is the most current one, has them as available so I'd like to play as them.

That was just a guess. And no one has stated availability yet. What about Wed or Thurs night of next week? So March 31st or April 1st? Maybe 9pm EST? Does that work for the west coasters?
 
I'm starting a new job (pending the results of a drug test) this weekend so I'm not sure about my availability for the draft. I'll try to work it so i can be near a computer whenever the draft happens.
In case I'm not in the draft, pay attention to who the CPU drafts for me cuz he'll most likely be on the trading block lol.

April Fool's Draft sounds good to me. 10 PM EST might be better for the west coast. I'm going to be in DC visiting a friend this weekend so that wouldn't work for me.

Don't go by me since I'm new, but I couldn't do Thursday night. Wednesday would be fine though.
 
To be frank, few things are less significant than the Rookie Draft, so, unless I'm a top 5/10 draft pick, I'm not concerned about the draft. Wednesday or Thursday at 9 would be fine for me, and I agree with BigAT that 10EST is probably best for the West Coasters as well.
 
Wed or Thurs @ 10pm EST looks to be good for most. Please state if you can do both. I'd rather leave the least amount of people out, so even if you prefer say Thursday, let me know if you can still make it Wednesday.

I'm on Week 9 fyi and I'll be advancing to Week 10 soon and probably get a couple more in through the day.

Random thought:
I'm not sure if it works, but if you change the commish can you advance a week? I was thinking maybe I could hop on and we could switch back and forth and advance in a few minutes. Not sure if you can do that...
 
are you on now? let's get on in say 15 mins from now. 3:05pm EST and see if that works.

edit: nvm, let me know when you want to try that though. I'm going to be busy for the next couple hours with work though.

I'm just about to advance the league into the playoffs and should have that wrapped up tonight or tomorrow. So expect invites within the next couple days. I'll post in here when they are sent along with the password.
 
I work in DC till 8-ish on Thursday, should be able to make it home by 10 est.

Wednesday however I'm totally free and prefer that date.
