Madden 10 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE (Tournament)- LOTS OF TEAMS AVAILABLE!

Since there's a bit of a difference between the bottom 9 and the rest, I'm just going to leave it with these teams. If we get 12 people interested the final 3 teams will be Bears, Jags, Fins. If you would like to claim them, you can. But you will be given your secondary choice until we expand from 8 to 12 teams.

You've got to take the Lions, Raiders, or Browns as a back-up in case we only have 8 people. The Jags, Bears, and Dolphins are only available if we have 12.
 
Damn it. I'm obviously not up for a season, but a tournament would be all right. I was going to pick the Raiders from the list. 5 minutes late.

If I'm welcome, I'll take Cleveland. I'm sure as fuck not going to be the Lions.
 
Lmao forgot I didn't post, was gonna check out ratings between Oakland, Cle and Det. But I guess I'm stuck with the Lions now :p I hope someone else joins! Then I can get dibs on Jacksonville!
 
Yeah can you explain what this tournament is? Is it going to be a bunch of User vs. User games or something? Or just kind of a simulation of the playoffs?
 
Oh, you people and your questions. :) Haha, actually I haven't thought that far ahead and now that I'm thinking about it we can't do 12 without byes. So, we could give the top 4 teams from the last season byes (BigAT, bvharris, me, and either Deuce of Rames, I forget) OR.... THIS!

Yes, I also assume you're okay with double elimination? Or will we be cutting it close? I figured this takes out the advantages to the byes mostly and makes it last at least a bit longer.

anyone have any objections about swapping the Bills (me) for the Skins (Pacer)? a. i feel weird giving myself a bye, alphabetical order aside. and b. i know Pacer is MIA as of now until tomorrow because he's covering the NBA finals in Boston tonight.

I won't be able to play until late tonight (or like now) or early tomorrow, but I'm slightly more readily available than he is. And figured using the bye in this way would be helpful to move things along.

I'm also considering swapping the Lions with the Bucs or Browns (coin toss?), so if it takes a little longer to fill the Lions and Bears it won't be a big deal since they will both have byes. Thoughts?

I edited the bracket above, but it is now officially official. Not much has changed so no need to examine it too closely.

Bears, Lions, Browns, Fins have byes. Lions are still available.

Feel free to add key stats if you would like and maybe we can come up with a tournament MVP. Or upload videos and we could do a top 5 plays of the tournament. Let's have some fun with it.

BV: I'm heading to the Mets game in about 30 mins. It should be over by 10 and I should be back here by 10:30, 11. Let me know if you want to play at 11pm EST or later. I could also do early tomorrow, anytime from the AM until 2, 2:30pm (world cup!).

I was originally thinking league settings, 5 min quarters, no run off, All Madden, but I wouldn't mind doing ranked games. Allow for more comebacks and the like.

*I think that the 7minute quarters, 15 second clock runoff makes the most sense since thats what the default on XBL is.

If anyone not likely to play me wants to scrimmage between now and then, hit me up. I could use some practice as the Skins.
 
Whoops I didn't expect us to be starting so soon. Venom, I can play pretty much as late as you'd want tonight, or tomorrow after around 3 p.m. Then the rest of the weekend is pretty much fair game too. I don't have anything big planned so I can rearrange my schedule accordingly.

I can't win with you, can I? Either I'm stat whoring or I'm being too deliberate. I had to watch Jason Campbell every week for years, I don't trust him any further than I can throw him.

Do you seriously think it's bad form to try to run out the game when you've got a two score lead?
 
Gg besides that. I wish I stayed to look at my running stats, pretty nice I'd imagine. Just couldn't throw it when I had to. How many times did you go for it on 4th? I wasn't really paying attention but it seemed like a bunch.

But yeah, I really don't play this game to stare at the screen. I understand protecting the lead but it's a waste of my time to watch a clock tick. I can do that alone haha.

I really wasn't trying to offend you, man. I'm still new to Online Madden, and I'm not gonna lie I was thinking about what you'd said about my regular season wins in the league and was consciously trying not to run it up or throw with a lead (which I wouldn't have done anyways).
