You have to download the Ultimate Team or whatever the hell they called the card game in order to do an online franchise. Yeah, it's incredibly dumb.

We didn't finish until 4 A.M. Eastern. I won't be on early tomorrow. To be honest, I have really bad insomnia and when I do sleep, it's not till after 9 A.M. Eastern. I always wake up by 2:00 (5 Eastern) though, since I set my alarm. I can play after that.

Just a general thing, never wait for people to the play the CPU. I don't think you wait anyway, but if somebody can't find 45 minutes over 4+ days, they don't deserve to have a chance to play.
 
Colts and I have exchanged messages on XBL. I told him I'm good to go anytime this weekend, just waiting on him to message me back a time that works for him.

I'm not worried, we'll get it in just fine I'm sure.

And hey ubernes, I noticed you've been playing MLB 2K10.. How is it compared to the shitshow that was last year's? I'm still a devotee of The Show, but if this year's 2K is better I might pick it up too (I heard the career mode, or whatever they're calling it, is pretty good).

I'm really liking it so far, but I never played 2k9. The last MLB game I played was Power Pros for Wii. But I love the pitching mechanics in this game, it takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but I really feel like if I don't do the proper motions I'm sending out very hitable balls or they are going way out of the zone. So it's sort of accurate in that regard, balls can get away from you and whatnot if you don't execute well.

Hitting is a bit of another story. It's not awful, but much more of a learning curve. Though it may be more accurate because of the difficulty, I only had it on pro in career mode and I was hitting around .300, but there were plenty of times I'd strike out 3 times a game. Career mode is sweet though, it's mostly what I've been playing. Though I was sort of annoyed that I was invited to spring training went like 4-0, low ERA, probably best pitcher during ST but I was kept in AA because my opponents batting average was like .030 too high or something, but my guy was a ground ball pitcher so people would get on but I would induce a ton of double plays. ANYWAYS, this is a pretty lengthy comment haha, but yeah, it's fun. I haven't come across any annoying glitches but sometimes outfielders will take funny routes to pop ups or miss a ball I think they should get, but that's no different than what I've experienced with Madden.

edit: and yes, Azu, definitely not planning on waiting on any vs CPU games. Just want to remind them that they have yet to play.

edit2: haha and just as I was bitching I get promoted to AAA. My pitcher is taking much longer to get the pros though. I'm a month into my 2nd year in the minors and I just got to AAA, my hitter got called up to the Twins (with a crowded 1B/DH depth chart no less) in August of his first year straight from AA and was on the playoff roster.

me and Itln just had a good game. Somehow I kept Romo down to one pick, partly because I didn't get go downfield much I really hate using him

Yeah, a lot of exciting baseball going on tonight. Between that maraton and the Jiminez no-hitter, it's just more depressing to glance back at the Sox score.

Yeah, I can do that. As I said before, I woke up at 5 P.M. Eastern, so I will be up for a while. Just let me know. The 3rd period of the Kings game just started; tied at 2.

EDIT: Just like game 1, game 2 is heading to overtime. The 3rd period just ended (12:34 Eastern).

Ugh... so frustrating. None of my complaints have to do with BigAT; just the game.

I basically gave up halfway through the 3rd since it became clear that the AI wasn't even going to give me a chance to win. Bradshaw apparently took some PEDs before the game, as he scored on a 60-something yard run and a kickoff return. I hit him cleanly about 5 times on both plays, but he somehow shed all tacklers, even 2-3 at a time.

Then there were 2 interceptions where my guy was wide open and somehow I got picked off. It wasn't like there was lag/missing animations/teleportation like in my exhibition half-game against Detroit. But it happened.

I'm not saying I would have won, because BigAT is a lot better than me and he had me beaten fair and square. And none of this was his fault. But still, it's very frustrating. I never had these problems in seasons 1 and 2.

Yeah, Bradshaw had a pretty crazy game. I meant to save a highlight of that kick return as it was especially ridiculous, but I was too tired by the end of the game to be bothered.
 
After watching the continual beatings BigAT is laying on all comers even with Manning out, I'm looking less and less forward to our matchup next week. ;) I'm hoping at the very least that I'll be the first who can score a touchdown off you, haha.

On another note, I'm still trying to get a hold of the Colts. I told him on XBL that anytime this weekend he wants to play I can be available, and I haven't heard back from him since our initial exchange of messages. Hopefully we'll find the time.
 
Getawhale, if for whatever reason you monitor the forum more often then your xbxlive messenger, tonight or Monday evening would be best for our matchup. I will be out of town for work from Tues-Sun so I'm sure everyone in the league would rather not have to wait until next week to play our game. I'd rather not have to boot myself come Tuesday due to the fact I made myself very available all this weekend.
 
PS: After this game finishes between Eagles/Texans, the last game of the week left (h2h) is Colts/Titans. So we're looking good.

3 vs CPU games have yet to be played, but like we established those will be simmed. Can someone page Mr Grand Chu? He has a h2h game next week and I don't think he's played one game yet...which is fine by me, but he'll need to show up next week.
 
I've been around all weekend ready to play, but he hasn't been on. Things are dicier for me on weeknights but I'll try to get on if he's around.
 
I can boot him in a bit if you would like. I know you've been trying hard to get in touch with and he's usually on often and replies himself (he was on last night), so I have no problem giving you the nod and playing vs CPU. Plus then we can advance tonight.

sorry, the rosters were updated all the way up until we started the league. it was actually about 2-3 days before McNabb was traded fortunately for him.

Yeah, well like I said, you didn't do anything. It was just that the AI seemed ridiculous. And as I also stated, you had me beaten fair and square. Taking those things away, I would have actually had a chance. But even without those plays, you still outplayed me. I'm certainly not trying to knock you. You're better than me for sure.
