My girlfriend is leaving on a month long business trip tomorrow so I kind of want to spend tonight and that part of tomorrow with her. After that I'm going to be swamped at work myself, so I don't know when I'll have time to get it in.
 
Chargers 42, Broncos 23

The Chargers finally notched a win in a sloppy turnover filled game (7 total).

Rivers was phenomenal until the 4th quarter when he threw two picks while Matthews was unable to get anything going running out the clock. But he did notch 5 TDs to finish 17-25 for 359 yards and 5 scores with the aforementioned 2 picks. Malcolm Floyd was once again the star, going for 170 yards and two scores. Gates also caught 2 TDs on 74 yards. Moss caught the other TD but also had a key fumble in the Red Zone. Jackson was held to only two catches.

For the Broncos, Orton threw 3 late picks as well during the turnover flurry, and Tebow saw plenty of action as well, running for 2 TDs and making some nice throws. Moreno carried 8 times for 90 yards, though most of that came on a 61 yard carry on the first drive.

Thanks for the game ubernes! I hope you didn't think I was being unsportsmanlike throwing in the 4th quarter with a lead, I just didn't trust Matthews to get the yards. Since you picked me both times, I'm guessing you didn't mind. :D

I lost Donald Butler and Darrell Stuckey, but thankfully only for 1 and 2 weeks respectively.
 
I really like that playbook. It does me no good with the Jets, but I told Darth just now to look into it. I think he'd probably be much better off using his speedy rookie QB in it. Tebow is good, but still pretty slow in some of those option plays. Unless I took you completely off guard I wasn't getting much. I got a bit sloppy with my throwing with Orton in this 3rd game, but I also think we both made adjustments.

I'm guessing you remembered correctly from our previous matchup that I struggle against the Wildcat. I've worked hard on it though and I think I did pretty well in that game, there weren't any humongous gains I can recall (the long Tebow run in the first disconnect is the only one I can think of).

I kind of underestimate how much playbooks matter. The Chargers are really great with the NE playbook I use, but the Jags are terrible with it. Maybe I'll try the Broncos one out with them.

Oh, and I'll assume you lost interest in Santana Moss after that performance. :D He's decent returning kicks but he seems to miss a series with injury pretty much every game. He did score, but it was on a wide open play.

Redskins and Rams have agreed to a new version of the first heavily criticized trade.

Redskins get:

Titus Riddler 84 MLB
Jelan Robinson 77 RB
Brandon Gibson 77 WR

Rams get:

Chris Cooley 91 TE
Shaynon Douglass 89 LE
 
I still think the Redskins are getting dragged over the coals. But obviously they don't think they are, so we probably should just let it through. I'd feel a bit better about it if a pick was headed Washington's way too, maybe a 2nd rounder.

So Skins.. Now that you basically acquired Darren Sproles Jr, does that mean the genuine article is on the block? I wouldn't mind getting him back. :D

My game is against the Lions. Who do I play? I just hope it's not somebody who's obscenely good like Doomtime. ItlnStln and I usually have good, competitive matchups, and I'd rather not get blown out by the Lions.

I don't know if that will work because the playoff teams or those who were right on the outside of it are the most active. I don't think any non-playoff/potential playoff team came forward and volunteered to sub when we were doing the rotational subbing.

I was the one that came up with the subbing idea and personally volunteered but both posts got overlooked, so I said fuck it.

If you want non-playoff/potential playoff guys to step up, I'll still do it -- unless you want to overlook this post as well. ;)

I volunteered to sub and I samn sure did not make the playoffs.
