Awesome, Ubernes is that okay? CPU games are boring but I don't mind if you want to start shying away from users taking over the CPU...or we can just make this week the last one for that.

If Ubernes is okay with it, would you be able to play around 10 or 11 p.m. EST tonight bv? Maybe say 11 to be safe...I'm playing some tennis at 7 and I'll probably get some food after. I can play pretty much any time tomorrow too if you'd rather do that.
 
The Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans have agreed in Principle to a Trade that would send Middle Linebacker Stephen Tulloch (80 OVR) and Strong Safety Chris Hope (81 OVR) to Minnesota and WR Bernard Berrian (71 OVR), Defensive End Everson Griffin (78 OVR) and Strong Saftey Sanford Jamarca (73) to Tennessee.

Any Opinions? I hope it's accepted I could really use help beefing up the Middle Linebacking Core and Safety Position considering I got gouged on the run.

I'm definitely up for it too...I always feel like the next week can't come soon enough. I get so depressed after I finish my game and have to wait for everyone else to finish :( Since this is a pretty big commitment/decision...maybe we could first figure out who wants to be considered, and then have as many people as possible PM you with who they think are the top 3 most deserving candidates according to who tries to schedule things right away, are active in the forums, have a decent amount of free time, etc. Basically people who won't slow the league down by having to schedule 2 games a week...oh and it would make sense that you wouldn't be able to vote for yourself too.

Just a suggestion though, you can always just pick 3 people yourself...your judgment has always been really top-notch (in my opinion).
 
Yes Matt, I got run on rampantly. His HB was too beastly and partly my players couldn't tackle for shit. Thanks for the Approval Doom and Master, One step closer!

Sure, since it's the only game vs CPU left go ahead. And we'll figure out semi permanent subs before we advance to Week 3. Right now I have BV and Master Awesome interested in the 3 teams available. I suppose I'll throw my name in the hat too. Doom...? Haha not sure!

I have no issue with the deal. I'll put it through tomorrow sometime, but people can feel free to voice their opinions til then.
 
Awesome, Thanks Ubernes. So do I have to go on and propose the trade? or are you taking care of everything? Now if only I could get a Quarterback. Might have to wait till the draft for that one. It's going to be an interesting season. I've got a great Defense, Just need to work the Offense more efficiently.

Actually do that. I forgot we didn't pass the trade deadline or anything. Propose it in game, accept it and it'll be set for next week.

I've only played a couple of games this month and having a totally new QB is taking me a bit to figure out.

His xbox got the rrod, but I think he plans to rejoin in a week once he gets it back

Jets defeated the Cowboys earlier this evening, 31-14.

I know people say the game is closer than the score looks a lot, but in this case it's plenty true. Not sure if it was my play-calling or what, but I didn't get in the endzone with my offense til the 4th. Luckily for me my defense held things together until then and I was able to return the halftime kickoff for a TD with my rookie safety.

Jesus fuck. Never had connection problems with Venom for the most part, butt his game lagged badly. It was really fun, though, aside from the lag causing me to miss an extra point and an easy field goal during which the kick meter didn't even show on the screen. The latter would have put me up by 16 but was missed and the Vikings scored on their next play.

We got to a few minutes left in the game, 35-34 Vikings (due to the missed/lagged extra point) and then it disconnected when I had the ball on 3rd and 8. Why must we suffer through this?
 
That Sucks, We were having a really good game. Then it just froze and asked if I wanted to Count or Not Count the Win. Peterson and Rice were having field days, aside from AP fucking Fumbling Twice! Haha. I'm not sure what can be done here, I can't do the Game Tomorrow as I'm going to meet up with my Cousin from Vermont Early in the Day and we're going to be in Boston the entire Day & Night. Then on Saturday I've got a Surprise Birthday Party later in the day that's probably going to end up taking up the whole day and I can't get out of it. So I don't really know what we can do.

Pats - Eagles still not played, was scheduled for this morning but he decided friday would be better (said he was having internet issues)

I have no idea when he wants to play tomorrow since I pmed him when I can be around tomorrow morning/evening and he hasn't responded with a time yet for our game.
 
Yeah, and I had several great TD passes, plus a 90 yard fumble return for a TD and my first ever (in 11) kickoff return TD to open the game. Why does this keep happening after the patch? I've already had more drops in between 2 league games this season than all of last season.
 
to be far matt, i saw your username log off xbox live when your game "disconnected".... (whether it be accidental or intentional, who knows).....but it wasn't a normal "madden server" problem...as far as i can tell (one of the main reasons that i say this is Uber got the message: "Quit and count game" as opposed to "The connection to your peer has been lost"....which most of us in this thread have seen when the servers fail...The only time it gives you a choice is if the opponents connection fails....or they turn off their xbox (i'm not pointing fingers matt, just adding to the discussion)
 
Well, there was no reason I'd quit when it was 35-34 and I was trying to win the game. It was the same as with 2 of the 4 attempts I had for my week 1 game: the "Connection to your opponent has been lost" message popped up, and then the system froze when I opened my guide to send Venom a message (we were not in voice chat since he is not in the dashboard preview). It was just a big white square and didn't even display my friends.

I just have no idea what the issue is. I had a few people I couldn't connect to in season 1, as we all did, but nothing like this ever happened except with NCAA Football 09. That game, I got rid of since it would crash on me when playing offline. So, probably different, but same company. Madden 11 league games are the only online Xbox games I have any issues with at all these days.
 
Yeah Adam was in the Party with me at the time. After the game was was disconnected I asked him to check if Matt was still online and he wasn't. I did get the 'Quit and Count Game' Message and not the 'Connection to Your Peer has been lost' one. So I don't think it's a normal Madden Error. This is one of the few times I've ever had a game disconnect since I've been in the league. I guess there's not really a good time now that our schedules are going to match up so UB do what you think is best.
 
If the Jags were my team for good, I would cut David Garrard right now without even asking for a return. Dude is straight up turrible.
 
That is very odd. Like I've said, I've played plenty of games where I got my ass kicked and never quit, so I certainly wouldn't have quit when it was basically tied, or in the first try against Eddie/Bears, I was winning. I'm hoping you know I didn't disconnect.

The game stopped, message came up; I tried to open the guide to message you, it froze, and I turned my system off and got on the computer.

I wish I had some indication as to why this has happened in my past 2 games. The few games last season that dropped, like the one against SirAdam, didn't freeze the system. I was able to back out to the lobby and then go about business.

FYI, as I told Venom, I'll be out the door any minute now, but I'll be on here to reply until then.
 
It's doing this far too much for my liking. I don't want to have any games simmed, especially division games. And this one is even worse since, not only was it a tight game, but we were a few minutes from the end. At least the times before were early on.

Not sure what to try. If the problem's on my end, it's just recently come about. I haven't played Madden outside of the online franchise in a long while, so I can't say if there have been any issues in unranked games (although Venom lost connection in 2-3 unranked games we played early on after release, it wasn't like this). My other games work fine; my disc is in pristine condition; I'm on a wired connection with an Open NAT; my system works fine except for the disc tray sticking shut every few days...

This is just really irritating since I was so hyped about the potential for season 2, and then to get 80% of the way through a great game and have this happen, it really irks me about as much as a video game can.
 
I took the liberty of rounding out the Jags depth chart a bit by picking up some of the Jags players the CPU dropped. As it stood they only had 3 CBs on the roster and 4 WRs (3 with Williamson now out for 4 weeks). No one great obviously, but at least they might have a fighting chance now.
 
Well Matt, If you can do it after the Boston game tonight we could TRY, I'll be home around at like Midnight or 1 AM. If not if Ubernes could extend the Deadline I can Definitely get it done on Sunday before the Patriots Game.

We'll see how the week shakes out. I hate hate hate delaying the whole league for one game, but I also don't want to have to sim another NFC North divisional game. I don't know when the NE game is, but I assume you're talking semi early Sunday?'

edit: I know Matt is PST, so maybe he can pull off that late night.

The Patriots game is on around 8:30 on Sunday Night, Well If you can do it tomorrow night after the Celtics Game Matt, let me know. I figure like I said I'll be home around Midnight or 1 AM Eastern.
