That seems contradictory. But, speaking as someone who's interacted with itlnstln over the last couple years in Madden leagues, along with the fact that I've had several different issues with Madden 11 crashing, dropping, and disconnecting, leading to me being accused of that sort of thing on here to the point where I had to provide photographic evidence to the contrary: He didn't quit. Madden crashes and drops games with much greater regularity than your average 360 title.

Yeah, I just wanted to speak out in his defense and, like I said, as a person who's had similar issues with the game online. I wasn't looking for any conflict, either.

Colts 28 - Bengals 10

Though some might have thought I would be tempted to let my buddy get a win and also tank an AFC rival, I did Hydro proud with his Colts. Probably could have been more if Manning didn't throw two picks in the endzone to go along with his 3 TDs, 2 to Clark.

Most importantly Jonathan Joseph came away from the game healthy in time to join the Chargers. :D

The Bengals-Chargers trade has been completed in-game.

Also, I'm shocked no one has claimed the 4-1 Titans.

Jags - I'll still be filling in for the Colts until Hydro's back, so let me know when you'd like to play that game post-advancement.

Just curious...anyone ever notice a certain player having a specific animation that they often do when they get tackled? I swear, when Jonathan Stewart gets tackled, about 50-60% of the time he stumbles forward for a couple seconds (like he's tripping) and then falls down. It's actually pretty cool cause he ends up gaining an extra 3 or 4 yards from it. None of my players have ever done that particular animation so I'm thinking that's specific to Stewart. Anyone else experienced anything like that with one of their players?

Turner does that sometimes but not that often.

I take it you haven't tried to defend Steven Jackson?

Brandon Jacobs does it a lot. I've got to imagine it's absolutely infuriating to opponents, as I've picked up like 6-8 yards after getting hit as a result of the animation. I think that animation is unique to high trucking RBs.

Breaking News out if Baltimore, MD...

it's being reported that the Baltimore Ravens agree to send their first and third round draft pick in the upcoming draft to the Carolina Panthers for all-pro WR Steve Smith.

the ravens press team is awaiting reactions from around the league and the commissioners' approval to finalize the deal.
I take it you haven't tried to defend Steven Jackson?
Lol Steven Jackson is probably in a whole category by himself (along with probably Brandon Jacobs). I played as the Rams in Madden '10 (which I don't think had the specific animation I'm talking about), but he would get gang tackled by like 8 guys and break free and score a TD. I know a lot of players have done that, but Jackson would do it so often it was ridiculous.

And yeah that makes sense if it's based off trucking, I didn't realize Stewart's trucking rating was that high until I just looked at it. Williams has a pretty bad trucking rating and I've never seen him do it.

Initial reports from insiders in the Carolina locker room have confirmed this news. Sounds pretty fair to me.....

I'm taking this whole "Carolina youth movement" even further in our franchise...hopefully it works out a little better for me than it has for the actual Panthers :/

I've also heard rumor that the Ravens have been thinking about going with pinstripes and a move to NYC ...

I only hope you'll be sitting out some of your starters for our last game of the season, haha. Good pickup.

the rich get richer. just another chump WR i'll have to shut down come playoffs. :) get in line behind Miles Austin, Mr. Smith.

I have no issue with it.

So let us know if/when we can put the trade through...obviously I'm in no rush to get this deal put through myself, but I'm sure Deuce would want Smith in his line-up for this coming week.

And can I get clarification on whether or not I can trade DeAngelo Williams too now that I'm trading Steve Smith? To be honest, I THINK you said last season that you could only trade 3 core players (and 90+ count as 2), so if you choose to stick with that then I would understand. And just to clarify...Williams is 93 and Smith is 91 so they would both be 2 core players.

Edit: Sorry..inbox is cleared.

I think it's gonna have to be a drop/add thing since we can't trade draft picks in the franchise. I'm not gonna be home for another couple hours so I guess we'll do it tomorrow

My drafted back in my online franchise does this on almost every carry. I've seen him gain like 10 extra yards on it.

Yeah, I think it's a fairly safe bet the Chargers aren't making the playoffs in Year 2.
I'm going to start sending out PMs to open this up today.
Okay, so it's been like 2 days now. So I'm picking CB S. Thompson for the Bengals. Rams are up. I'm heading out for a couple hours so you have until I come back to select someone. Jags and Pats already selected a top 3, Cards should do the same.

Rams want Brian Russell FS.
Anybody got a fast reciever rating doesn't matter just speed 95 or faster ?
I have plenty. But like last season, depends on what you're willing to give up.

Donte Stallworth or Devin Thomas... they may not be 95 speed but they're plenty fast

He's out of town, I'm sure that'll be fine though.

Sorry guys, went outside for a few hours to enjoy this BEAUTIFUL day (seriously, what's up with this weather?). I'll advance us in a minute.

Advanced us. I'm running out the door again for lunch. Doom, I should be back in like an hour, but 4-4:30pm EST time works for if it works for you. Let me know. I'm around most of the day when I get back.

Yep that works great. Looking forward to our first meeting.

Week 7 Games of the Week

Houston Texans (4-2) @ Baltimore Ravens (4-1)

Washington Redskins (5-1) @ New York Giants (4-1)

New York Jets (4-1) @ Oakland Raiders (5-1)

It's crazy, just a few days ago it was snowing. Now it's like 65 outside, go figure. I'll take it while it lasts though!

Alright so I don't think you've addressed my post yet Uber, but:

1) Can me and Deuce go ahead and put the trade through? He suggested I just drop Steve Smith so he can sign him, which should definitely make him available for his week 6 (that makes me think...why don't we always just drop/sign players for trades instead of going through all the hurdles of doing it via the actual trade menu).

2) Will I be able to trade DeAngelo Williams as well since I just traded Steve Smith? They are both rated 90+ and in the last season you counted that as 2 core players. I believe last season you said we could only trade 3 core players, so I'm not sure if you wanted to abide by that this season still since the Rams traded 2 90+ players already.

3) If the answer to number 2) above is "Yes"...then I've got another big trade proposal for y'allz consideration:

Panthers are trading DeAngelo Williams (93 OVR HB) and Angelo Crowell (73 OVR ROLB) to the Seahawks for Josh Wilson (84 OVR CB), Colin Cole (74 OVR DT), and a 2nd round draft pick.

Opinions...?? Gogogo!!

I have no issue with some objections at all (I actually prefer it so I can get a sense of what is fair and not...since these are my first 2 trades ever in Madden), but could you clarify a little more? Like who the current trade favors and why?

Just to give some more information: neither of our secondary players (Crowell or Cole) are starters, so that is more for depth since the Seahawks lost Tatupu for the season (I think) and I'm weak at the DT spot. Colin Cole hasn't had any playing time in the season for the Seahawks so far (at least he's recorded 0 stats according to the EASports page) and Crowell has just 3 tackles on the season, so obviously he isn't an integral part of my defense...he is my 2nd string ROLB so he plays when Hiller gets tired.

As far as DeAngelo Williams goes, I realize I have a great backup HB in Stewart, but Williams was the freaking MVP of the league last year (at least according to Doomtime...lol), so you can't say I'm not losing much in that aspect. Williams would break away for a LOT of 60-80 yard TDs with his speed, and Stewart doesn't have the speed that Williams has. Even if people think I'm not losing much in Williams, then I don't see what I am supposed to do about it...either keep 2 amazing HBs in my line-up which I don't need, or trade one of them away for a LOT less than what they are worth (severely undermining their value just because I have another good HB).
