There's something decidedly lame about all of us discussing fake Madden league trade rules at 4 in the morning on Christmas, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is... :cool:
 
MA it's up to you really. If you wanted to trade your first round pick for the 2014 season you could (kidding mostly). Whether it's for this draft or a potential 2013 draft is really up to the teams involved in the deal, not any rules. Clearly the picks in this draft have more value simply because, like you said, the team getting the pick are benefitting now. I don't know if I would put much value on 2013 picks right now but I suppose they could be traded.

Finally got a trade completed, the first for me in either franchise. Giants send their first round pick to Miami in exchange for John...I mean Randy Starks.
 
can someone post the trade Rules again....i can't seem to find them. Since the offseason is counting towards next season's "trade rules"...i really need to see what they are regarding "core" players.
 
On the trading block for the Giants:

Osi Umenyiora (RE) - 84
Mathias Kiwanuka (RE) - 83 (also rated 80 as a DT)
Deon Grant (SS) - 80
Possibly Justin Tuck (LE) for the right offer.

Looking for linebackers or a RT (could convert a LT maybe) in return, draft picks as well.
 
CAG site is being realllllll slow right now. I'm trying to get to everything before the Jets game, but I may have to just give up for now and hopefully things speed up for me after the game.

gregthomas, you've been booted from the Colts. I had to make room for XXXplosive. You can take the Rams when you're ready.

Cowboys/Cards, I was able to drop your QBs in that trade but couldn't add them back. Please do that in game as soon as you can.

I didn't have any problems with any of the trades so far. Please post the OVR ratings though. Age/potential would be ideal as well.

Also Azu, you should have the league info/password. The Jags are available for you.

Browns are the only team open as of now.

Does anyone understand how to look at the players via the EASports Online franchise site? It'll only let you "Filter by Last Name" or a certain attribute...so there's no way to just look at every available player in the draft and sort by "Overall"? You can sort by "overall", but you also have to pick a specific attribute too, so you can only sort by "Overall" among the players with 90+ speed, or players with 90+ strength, 90+ agility...etc. It's really dumb...I might have to draft through the website tonight too so I'm hoping to figure this out.

Last season what we did was pause at the end of each round and I announced what picks had been traded. You should be in communication with the people you have trades with to tell them who you want them to pick.

Assuming my trade with the Bucs goes through, he'll be getting my 3rd round pick (#31).

That Bucs trade is good to go.

I'll update the op with the season 3 trades around 7pm est. Maybe sooner.

Edit: I'm taking deuces word on the trade. Nothing else should be missing.

The problem is the Ravens had already traded their 3rd rounder to the Panthers in the Steve Smith deal...

the 3rd that was traded in the 49ers deal is the one i got from the Bills in the McKelvin deal. Good catch tho cuz i forgot about that
