Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Once we're advanced I need a sub for the Jags. Depending on what time we advance tonight I can play before midnight. Tomorrow or any other day between 6 est and midnight.

And I know this is unfair...I feel bad especially cause this guy is brand new to the league. I'm still gonna play a normal game but I'm just gonna pick gameflow every time. Not sure if that's gonna help at all but I don't know what else to do.

BV, Doom, are you guys trying again tonight?

I told Superstar if he was the final game that I would try to find a sub if Matt was MIA still at 10pm. If we have another game to play that changes things but I'd like to get these last 2 done tonight if possible.

soooo, these final 2 games. any word from Matt? if BV/Doom get this going at 2am I don't really see the need to temp boot Matt unless he's also unavailable tomorrow. I have a feeling that's possible because getting Internet at a new place is usually never without it's hiccups.

if BV/Doom were playing earlier and people could actually get in games after it was played then I would be all for it, but I don't want to temp boot and find out Matt will be available tomorrow. I also don't want to not temp boot and find out tomorrow I have to temp boot him anyways. decisions, decisions.

I guess the next question would be, if needed can anyone sub for Matt now vs Superstar?
 
That's a reschedule of a game we couldn't connect on earlier, we're hoping to servers will be better in the middle of the night, plus he needed to go to the airport. Hopefully it goes smoothly this time.
 
Ya if we're going to sub it needs to be ASAP because I need to shower then sleep to get up for work tomorrow. Doing a sim is another possibility I Suppose.

I"m done subbing. After I subbed last time my lineup was ALL messed up, players I had never messed with in the lineup were in the wrong place.

Raiders 33 - Chargers 23

The bards will sing tales about how thoroughly I dominated this game, though of course I'm sure Doom sees it differently. :D

The difference was all about two kickoff returns for TDs by the Raiders, one on that fucking stop and run to the left return* and the other when kicking lag hit me at the worst time and he got a beautifully returnable short kick.

After starting off slowly my passing attack was unstoppable for most of the game, other than an ill-advised pick in the endzone. Most importantly I finally stopped Doom's rushing attack cold, holding Barber to 18 yards on 14 carries (he had a long of 10 which means he got 8 yards on his other 13 carries). My guys were in the backfield seemingly every single rushing play.

*This isn't personal to Doom, since seemingly everyone in the league does that kick return trick except me and a few others, but I've thought before that it should be banned. That would never work in the NFL, so it kind of borders on an exploit for me. I don't get many kick return TDs, but when I do it's because I followed blockers and moved through holes like an actual returner would. I had no issue with the second kick return other than the stupid ill timed kicking lag (that was the only time I had any lag all game)

gg Doom! I think I let you off the hook this time. :D My passing game was on all cylinders, and my receivers made some sick catches.
 
Well Barber is no McFadden that's for sure. Ford and Janikowski's golden foot bailed me out of this game. After Chris Cook went down, the slot was wide open and I couldn't do much to stop it.

As for the Kick Return, I'm up for opinions, but more often than not I get stopped no problem. I think Ford is broken more so than the kickoff return itself.

GG as always bv. Hopefully next time I'll be at full strength.

I've never seen a kicker make so many 60+ yard chipshots... Every time he lines up for one of those deep ones I have absolutely no doubt it's going in easily. :bomb:

Ok I'm not usually a stat whore, but why in the world do I have the Cincinatti Bengals statistics in my box score? BV you have Pittsburgh Steelers stats. I don't think our stats from that game counted....unless it's just me seeing this then otherwise I'm going insane

Nope, I see it too... Those two teams didn't even play this week, lol

Same thing happened to me in the other league with Bears-Bills, the stats never got counted at all.

Well there's another reason for us to buy Madden 12. No more stupid online franchise statistics glitches! It's going to be on the back of the box as their premier fix!
 
Yeah sprice I can play tonight...I get home around 6:30 so I'll be ready to go around 7:00 p.m. EST to be safe. If you want to play a little earlier like 6:30 or 6:45 let me know...I can hustle a bit. And I'll be able to play any time after I get home, as late as you want.
 
Alright, I understand 6:30 is best for you, but could you still do 7 or not?6:30 is probably gonna be borderline impossible for me now that I think of it (with traffic), I can probably manage 6:45 though...otherwise we can play whenever you want tomorrow...I'm free all day.

Random note: Madden 11 for 360 or PS3 is $34.99 in the Amazon Gold Box, if someone you know may have been looking for an excuse to pick it up. I think it was $30 on BF and will probably drop to $20 soon after the super bowl, though.
 
The Jets thankfully rebounded and defeated the Seahawks, 38-21.

This game pretty much came down to two turnovers. The lone INT in the game by rookie QB Parris (edit: which looks to be only his 2nd or 3rd of the year) and his fumble. I'm 99% sure the INT turned into a TD on my end and the strip sack from David Harris was immediately returned by Cliff Avril for a TD. Out of all my linemen I was glad he was the one to scoop it up because I don't think Kris Jenkins was taking it 78 yards. Shonn Greene had 138 yards on the ground and 3 TDs.

Yeah those two plays in a row accounted for a 14 point swing in the score. Prevented a TD and then scored one the next play. Brutal. I almost forgot they followed each other until you mentioned it. I even think the INT happened after you had a pretty big play too and you were in my territory.
 
no the int was on a 3rd and long...no one was open and i just said ef it and threw it to the one on one. And shonn greene geez that animation where the guy gets like 5-7 extra yards at least is rather annoying.
 
Hey sprice I took care of some business early and should be home by 6 p.m. if you want to play tonight. Tomorrow actually might be tricky cause my friend wants to study all day at the library so I might not be able to sneak away for our game. So let me know if you can play at 6 or 6:30ish otherwise we might have to try Thursday.
