Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Other than in 1997, I've always liked the Packers a lot. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the whole small market/no owner thing. That said, if they face the Patriots in the Super Bowl all bets are off. :D

I actually feel like the Packers would have the easiest time if they got matched up with the Pats. Out of the three teams left (NE, PIT, NYJ) NE probably has the worst defense, and I'm sure the Packers could slow down whichever offense they play.

That's a really bizarre opinion, no offense. The Packers played the Pats really tough in their matchup, but the Pats were also the only team this season to score 30 points on the Packers (which they've done in 8 straight games). There's no slowing down the Pats' offense, you need to beat them in a shootout (which the Packers are certainly capable of). The Jets managed exactly 0 points against the Packers D. You'd seriously rather play the Pats again?

Well the Packers only scored 9 against the Jets with Rodgers. They scored 27 against the Pats with a back of QB getting his first start. I'm pretty confident that Rodgers could put up at least 20 on the Pats, and if the defense does their job then the Pack have a decent chance at winning.

I've no doubt he could put up even more than 20, and he'd need to because 20 wouldn't be enough. As a Pats fan the Pack are the last team I'd want to face if they made the Super Bowl, I think they're awesome.. I just think it's a littler weird to think that the best team in the NFL is the easiest matchup for anyone. :D
Bv getting all defensive about the Pats and the sky is blue. All is right in the world! :)
I'm really not, you can try to provoke me into becoming a stereotypical idiot Pats fan all you want, it's never going to work. I don't say anything about sports I can't back up with facts.

save your vides post game
go in game to "my videos" and upload them
on the EA site you can download the flash file of your video
upload the flash file you downloaded from ea's site to youtube
done

edit: I do this cause the ea site limits the number of highlights you can have up so if I put them on my youtube I don't have to worry about that

lol, that's a bit of an extreme conclusion you drew there. I think you can be defensive and not be a "stereotypical idiot Pats fan."

What's our policy on changing jersey numbers? I'm not talking about switching people's numbers to confuse people (say giving Gates a different number or something), but over the course of several seasons I've accumulated a few players who Madden has given the same number and it can be confusing for me in calling plays.. I assume there's no issue with changing them in those cases?

I'm assuming it's some of your rookies that have the same numbers as the veterans on your team...so in that case I don't see any problem with it. I would definitely suggesting changing the jersey numbers of the rookies over the veterans to avoid confusion though.

Drafted players and guys I've signed as FAs yeah, not many of my starters. For example both of my FS had the same number, which can get confusing.

Yeah, no problem there. I had to do it with some of my DBs because I wouldn't know who was who when I was trying to make subs on my formations. It was a pain to figure out which #20 was who in that short amount of time.

I've had to do it a few times due to rookie, free agent and trade acquisitions. Plus Madden had really old Giants numbers for some reason. If you have to do it though, you should definitely be changing the number of the lesser known player. I would hope no one is doing it just for the sake of trying to cause confusion.

Yeah, none of my starters were affected except my 2nd year starting FS. Mostly it was stuff like both of my backup QBs being #8.

If the Jets go on to lose this game we're going to point back at them basically being handed a free shot at points and getting goose egg in the first quarter. Wow, that was inept.
Wow, that fake punt was a dumb idea. Keep giving the Jets points, Bill :)
There are no words for how stupid that was

Halftime adjustments: Shower, shave, change of clothes, change of beer, moved to the living room TV, also the cat who sat next to me for the first half has been banished in favor of his brother.

I tried to find whatever lab the Jets used to body swap Sanchez and Brady in that first half, but I was unsuccessful.
Yeah there is still a lot of football toe be played.

Nick Folk though, that's one foot Ryan isn't fond of right now.

Looking forward to the second half!
It looks like the pats really put their foot in their mouth this time.
Yup. Where's the booze?

Things which will be replaying in my head until training camp:

1) The terrible fake punt try in the 2nd which set the Jets up to go up 14-3.

2) The offense going into a shell for the entire first half after the pick.

3) That 7.5 minute drive late in the game which got no points and featured all running and no urgency after they'd just marched it down the field the previous drive.

Congrats to your boys Uber, they definitely played the better game today and the coaching matchup went firmly to Ryan. I don't even know who to root for in the AFC Championship Game.. Meteor strike?
Queue drunken BV?
Check back later tonight. :D

I already told Doom earlier I was only playing our game tonight if the Pats won.

The bright side is there will never be a more painful Patriots loss than in the 2007 Super Bowl, so I can never top that level of sports misery.

That said, if anyone needs me I'll be curled up in the fetal position in my Rondo jersey muttering "Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez" to no one but my cats.

There will be no greater joy for me than the 2007 Super Bowl, although my nerves throughout the entire process nearly eclipsed the excitement. Being a Giants fan in MA was...interesting those next few months :p I'm not a jersey-wearer but my Manning jersey got a lot of use.

Before you start gloating just making sure you saw this. Ball's in your court.

Best silver lining after a playoff loss to a bitter rival: My girlfriend is out of town for the weekend so she won't have to witness me eating the massive amount of thai food I just ordered, drinking an entire 6 pack (or more) alone and watching old Star Trek: TNG episodes in my underwear. We all grieve in our own way.

Ain't tryin to be a bother uber but u still never put my trade thru... just don't want thomas to play his game and take a chance of injuring dissario

I don't think that prevents gloating, does it? All I got to say is I feel fucking great. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group of guys. :)

It just hit me and I know I didn't post this here because I didn't want to jinx myself but I was asked yesterday my prediction and I guessed 28-21 Jets. God damn!
