Oh well, Jets season ends. I'm a bit annoyed that my offense was pretty much unstoppable the first game and then I couldn't get anything going in the 2nd game. That seems to always be the case in these restarts, but like I said oh well.
I only had til 7 so I had to leave the game. I left the game and told aug to play the CPU. MasterAwesome, you're currently the commish right now. I had to hand it over to someone. GG aug. I don't know what I did differently that 2nd game. I knew you were blitzing a LB every time and you were using your safety, so it wasn't hard to see those quick passes were available to me all game but for whatever reason I couldn't get them off. Madden doesn't like me, so I've come to accept that I won't ever win a close game anyways.
edit: I should also mention that diving into the end zone for every score is super annoying. You must be the only one who does it regularly.

I hear ya on the restarts, uber. I have the same shitty luck with games going much worse for me on the 2nd or 3rd tries.
I have noticed a few people diving into the end zone after each score, but chose not to mention it since I didn't want anyone to think, "Oh, there goes Matt complaining about something else." It is satisfying when you get to do it back to them on the game winner, though.

Don't worry about it. It's not like we need to kick anyone for the playoffs. Things should be fine until you're around again. Just put me back in when you're around.
The Lions are fun, but get some CB help. Winfield is terrible in man and will probably retire on you. I really liked that league, but I'm glad I left it. It kept me sharp for this one. I need to extend my Madden 11 life as much as I can for this league so quitting my other ones was a must for me.

That's cause I was gonna play my base until u proved u could score liked u did and I never had a LB on a WR it was TYRELL JOHNSON and when u didn't adjust to tha bitz I kept it up....and game two I kept it up and u just didn't adjust.

I would guess no later than next weekend, no earlier than Thursday. Sat/Sun would probably be around 1-3pm EST. Thursday would probably be around 10pm EST. Maybe 10:30.

lol sort of a weird strategy to allow for mismatches. were you going to stick to nickel and dime packages if I went to running formations too? and I'm not sure how to adjust to a LB blitz when I'm already in shotgun and half the plays I had the RB staying in to block.

GG MasterAwesome...I think. Frankly that game was kind of retarded, for both teams.
It started off with me throwing an interception on a deep ball, MA picked it at the 1 and then his momentum brought him into the endzone where I tackled him. The game awarded me a safety for whatever reason when it likely should have been a touchback for the Panthers or at the very least their ball at the 1 yard line. It didn't really matter though, because on the punt following the safety my return man immediately coughed up the ball and the Panthers recovered. Brandon Jacobs also had a really weird fumble that killed a promising drive for me.
My defense scored 15 of my 24 points for the game, with the other 9 all coming from my kicker who had field goals of 61 yards and a 64 yarder. I forgot to check the replay before leaving the game, but I'm not even positive the 64 yard one went through the uprights. It certainly didn't look like it was going to before the game quickly changed camera angles and said it was good.

Gg Biggie, yeah I agree I thought for sure that last field goal hit the bar and then fell short lol. After I watched the field goal and the announcer said it was good, I was like wait...WHAT?! Although I don't think that changed the game much. And the safety was ridiculous as you said lol, but I think a touchback woulda been pretty generous...I thought they were gonna give it to me at the 1 yard line. They're usually pretty good with forward progress, but that play was one of the very rare exceptions I've seen.
After reflecting on the game as a whole...I think the huge game-changer was when I threw that lobbed deep pass to my receiver on the left side of the field. Clausen slightly overthrew the ball to the point where my receiver had to dive to catch it, which resulted in him tumbling to the ground and getting downed by your defender instead of getting the easy touchdown. A few plays later, that's when you got the sack-fumble returned for a 74 yard TD by freaking Jay Alford lol. I can't believe NO ONE could catch up to him...he was running so slow and no one seemed to be within 10 yards of him at any point. I checked back at the replay and saw Jonathan Stewart casually jogging in the back instead of running to make the tackle. So instead of getting 7 points, I ended up giving up 7 points instead...a 14 point differential. Then I woulda been able to run a lot more...my run game was going pretty good too.

Actually I'm pretty happy with them other then the loss of Woodhead who wasn't even on the pats roster when we started the league. I am surprised at the lack of growth from Tate after three seasons so I'll definitely be picking up a WR 1st rd.
