Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

I'll attempt my vikings game with pitfallharry one last time when I get home from work (assuming he's around, PMing him after this), so the game will probably be around 4-5:00. I'll stand by my pledge to drop from the franchise and let him play the CPU if the final attempt doesn't go well.

UBER - I know Matt wants to take care of his games before he leaves, so I am hoping he will be able to play our game after his game with CRU - assuming you can advance immediately after.
 
Since fantasy teams were mentioned, I'm 3-0 in two of my Yahoo leagues and the NFL.com league, 2-1 in the other Yahoo league, and 4th in my pick 'em league with 30 correct picks. I'm normally not in so many leagues, but the NFL.com one is run by a personal friend, as is 1 Yahoo league. 1 Yahoo league and the pick 'em are run by a good CAG friend, and the other Yahoo league is a CAG league.

About my games, I read and responded to Cru and itlnstln's messages, so it looks like both games will be played tonight. Gotta get out of NHL 11 mode now and get ready for some football!
 
So if the Seahawks are withdrawing from the league for the season, can I play the CPU for my game or are you just gonna sim it? I can play right now if you see this soon enough...which hopefully you do! This game is important for me...I would be sad if I got a sim loss to a CPU-controlled team :'(

Well hopefully you eventually see this and I can get my game in before the 49ers/Packers at 7:30...I'm gonna be checking pretty often and I'm leaving my Xbox on in case you sign on to do it

Uuuugh. Another great game of Bills v. Vikes and right after Brohm threw his first pick (off a Minnesota Fumble), the game d/ced. Score was 21-17 MIN, although I was prime to score and go ahead if it wasn't for that pick. That's Bills football for ya.

I couldn't stop his O all game, and in many of the other games as well, so I still lean towards the fact that I would have lost, probably a 70% chance or so, at least if we would have finally got a full game in.

I just dropped from the league, Vikes are playing the CPU now I imagine. Hopefully I can actually get a game in with someone next week, damned servers...

And you aren't planning on giving the Seahawks to anyone else, are you? Basically...if I severely injure anyone on their team, do I really need to restart it? I know we're trying to advance soon...so I just don't want to hold everyone up with needless restarts if I don't have to.

I started to play the CPU, but I don't think it's fair. It wasn't either of our faults we kept getting disconnected. We can just have it simmed because we both at least have a chance that way.

That's fine--I just wanted to give you the opportunity to have an advantage since overall, you were winning in most of the games. (All but one I think)

The Vikes should beat the Bills in a sim anyways, but, as we've seen with Cleveland and other sim games...not always the case!
 
Are you fucking kidding me? 2 days in a row, Cru's planned to rush home so we can play, and servers are down? I have 2 games I need to get in by the end of tomorrow night, plus one vs. CPU game in my other online franchise. Damn it, EA.
 
I'm still good to go tonight for both games if the servers go back up, but Cru and itlnstln are both on Eastern time- 3 hours difference- and neither can play very late during the week. This just sucks for everybody.
 
I can connect to the servers fine...I haven't tried playing a game or anything, but I can go to Xbox Live -> Online Franchise -> My Franchises -> CAGFL2 just fine without any problems...if you aren't able to boot Seattle anytime soon then do you mind if I go to the gym for like 45 minutes or 1 hour (max) and then come back to play? Hopefully you can connect at that point so I can quickly play...I really need to go to the gym tonight and I've just been sitting around on Xbox Live waiting to play the CPU for like the last hour so this is my only chance to go tonight.

Edit: I'm taking off for the gym now...was trying to wait for a response to make sure it's okay but I'm just gonna try to go and get it done as soon as possible and be back around 8:15 EST to get my game finished right at 9 hopefully.

Yeah, no worries, go. We'll wait for you if they somehow magically come back up and everyone somehow gets their games all in before you're back.
 
I tried NHL 11 and was able to connect to the servers without issue. But Madden... nope. Cru only has an hour and a half or so to work with, but I'm going to text him if I find out the servers are up before then. I just hope I can get both my games in by the end of Thursday night, though at this rate, the next week might not even start till tomorrow. I hope that doesn't cost me a game since I'll be gone Friday morning through Sunday night. We had it scheduled perfectly, too. :(
 
Just got the new Xbox Dashboard from the preview program...ooh....it's all white and shiny....

I just took the reins of the Bills again myself. If anyone has success doing franchise games they were previously getting disconnected in, let me know...although I'm pretty sure Vikes v. Bills is just doomed. Dooooomed.
 
Me and itlnstln must've got lucky. We started our game at about 6:15 and ended about an hour later. A few hiccups aside, the game was pretty flawless when it came to the connection.
 
lol the Raiders/Chargers game ended in a tie, 10-10 :lol:

edit: we advanced btw. some interesting matchups this week.. Ravens/Texans, Jets/Fins II, Falcons/Panthers.
 
I had a real tie- human vs. human- a few weeks ago.

Had a good game with Cru and another 5 TD, 400+ (498) yard game by Aaron Rodgers. However, Rodgers threw 4 interceptions rather than none, and those cost me the game. The first one was a pick 6 and the second was soon run in by Frank Gore in one of the most ridiculous tackle breaking runs I've ever seen as he plowed through my entire d-line to put the Niners up 14-0 at the end of 1.

I kept getting close, but Cru would score, sometimes on the very next play. His kickoff returns are ridiculously good. I got the ball back, down 45-35, and was closing in on the end zone when I threw INT #3. I stopped him again with 11 seconds left, went for the end zone a few times, and threw pick #4.

Honestly, other than those 2 first quarter picks that led to San Francisco points, I was very happy with the way I played. Cru showed why he's one of the best, though. Good game Cru, like I said, and hopefully we can rematch sometime.

I guess I have to play my game against Detroit tomorrow. The only problem is that I'm not sure what time I'll be getting home. I'm going for a pre-screening interview/drug test at 5 P.M. Eastern in Garden Grove. That will lead to some good money if it works out, though (well, the drug test I'm guaranteed to pass, heh) so hopefully that will go smoothly and I can play my game when I get home.

I almost had him! LOL. As long as his special teams are excellent and Frank Gore is healthy, I don't see him losing much. Cru is very good.
 
I tentatively set the deadline for Saturday night/Sunday morning. I do vaguely recall someone getting back on Sunday and that their game would be played Sunday night, so this will be extended if that is true. I'd like to be in Week 15 sometime Sunday though.

Doom, will we be getting another top performers post out of you again any time in the near future? :)

Yeah, I'll do one sometime tomorrow. Then I'll give out the regular season awards after week 17.

If you're thinking of me, I mentioned the possibility of playing theredworm on Sunday night if I didn't get back too late, but that would have been for the next game week, not the one we're on now. Due to the server issue and delay in advancement, that won't be an issue.

I'm hoping I can take him down for you in Week 15, since that's by far my toughest challenge left.

Really a tie isn't so bad for me since I still have a game up in the loss column over the Dolphins and Ravens. Meanwhile I have a CPU game this week while both of them face tough opponents, so that lead could grow.

The Dolphins really need to overtake the Ravens or myself outright, since not only did they lose the head-to-head with the Ravens, but they also already have 5 in-conference losses to my 2, and there's no way I'm losing three more in-conference games.

I like where I'm sitting.
 
I think the afc playoff race is set except for that last spot and it's between me and the dolphins... although a catastrophic meltdown by the steelers and me winning out could change the playoff picture
