Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Ugh, I was up 35-6 when I knocked Matt Cassel out for the year. Seems like in that situation against CPU opponents we've been restarting, so I'll do so once, even though it's probably unlikely the Chiefs are going to be owned again.

Edit: Cassel managed to stay healthy for the second game (though he did miss a series) though he wasn't much help, going 7-27 for 80 yards and a pick. The Chargers went bananas (predictably), winning 59-6.

Sent the Titans a friend request & message on XBL with my availability to play the rest of the week/weekend. It's kind of a rough availability, so hopefully we can get this in.

In case he checks CAG beforehand:

I'm available today (Thursday) anytime before 3pm EST
Friday anytime before 3pm EST
Saturday after 5:30pm EST (until 10:00pm EST)
Sunday is yet to be determined due to work scheduling, but probably after 4pm EST. Also might be heading to a friend's house for the Sunday games, but that depends on my work as well. Sigh.
Me and itlnstln must've got lucky. We started our game at about 6:15 and ended about an hour later. A few hiccups aside, the game was pretty flawless when it came to the connection.
Yeah - Connection was GREAT! As far as the Lions, they played like the REAL Lions. Good game, had a good time trying to make a comeback. That damn defense is sick, not to mention Forte is a "ghost" and found every gap. GG

Sources: Jets to sign Trevor Pryce

The New York Jets have intercepted the Ravens' plans to re-sign defensive end Trevor Pryce, who was waived by Baltimore on Wednesday.

New York has agreed to a contract with Pryce, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Jets' Rex Ryan coached Pryce when he was an assistant in Baltimore.

Baltimore is on the hook to pay him his $2 million in guaranteed salary, plus whatever the Jets have paid him on his new one-year deal, a source told Schefter.

:D

Haven't had much time to post today but I'm not looking to drop anymore games this season even though I did lose Taylor Mays for 6 weeks and he is a huge part of my defense. Good game again to Matt Young his offense was above average and abolished most of my coverages. My special teams is all that's been keeping me around all season kick return and my punt game, my punter pins a lot of opponents inside their 10 yard line. I take a lot of pride in the special teams and Defense. I am hoping to make the trip up to see Big At and his Giants at home and leave with a victory, lol .... let's go 49ers

Man I am on a severe interception-drought with Beason...I haven't had a pick in the last 5 or 6 games. My last 2 games were against the CPU who is usually pretty good at not throwing to a receiver who I'm shadowing with Beason...hopefully I can pick it up with him in this last stretch so I can still maintain that defensive player of the year award...although Ed Reed is probably ahead of him at this point :( At least DeAngelo is stepping it up.

And Falcons, when is a good time for you to play? My availability today is a little iffy...I have class in a couple hours and then I'm going to a friend's house to study for an exam tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be available probably between like 4 and 7 p.m. EST...I'm not exactly sure yet. I have lunch plans at 2:30 and then dinner plans probably around 8 or so. Saturday I should be open pretty much all day after like 11 a.m. EST.

Tonight or Friday night or sometime Sunday. Saturday I'm swamped.

What is your availability like tonight?? Between what times can you play...I might be able to play tonight around 11 p.m. EST or something...maybe even later.

No love for this season's sack leader, Robert Mathis? I'd say he's in the running too, if not for my complete and utter bias towards the Colts in this league. ;)

Lol sorry man I haven't really studied the defensive stats in depth...I just remember Ed Reed leading the league in interceptions and having a lot of pick sixes I think...he destroyed me in my game against the Ravens.

And alright Falcons, I'll be ready to play when you get home...I'll be a little late to class but it's not a big deal. Based on our schedules I think this afternoon would be our only chance to play.

Edit: I'm gonna shower and be back around 5:35 EST in case you get back before then.

looking at the AFC playoff picture, the only person i have yet to face in a madden game is Doomtime... everyone else has suffered an L at the hands of the Ravens either this season or last season... just a little something to think about as we move through the last quarter of the regular season. :)

Lol I don't think so...I noticed your players dropped some that are usually like automatic picks but it's just random I think.

I finally ended Beason's interception drought with 2 picks against the Falcons......finally. Now I'm tied for the lead again!
Is there some kind of secret to getting interceptions?
I'd like to know as well. If there was a stat for dropped INT's, I think Chris Johnson and Routt would have the lead.

Edit: Looks like the Texans-Ravens showdown is underway

Ed Reed now has 11 ints

what is scotts54 cag name? I couldn't find his user name with the search.

I have messaged him about our game on xbox live, but i thought i would pm him here too.

Ravens 28
Texans 6

I dont even wanna put up stats cuz the game was so tough that the numbers dont do it any justice. Having to guard against Andre Johnson's speed and ability at WR gave me a headache...

GG Ramesu... i hope i never have to play u again

The Giants started their game against the Vikings this week with their typical "bend, but don't break" style of defense. Although the Vikings were able to pick up consistent yardage, the Giants' defense stepped up and forced two turnovers inside the 10 to blank the Vikings in the first half.

The Vikings battled back in the second half. They narrowed their deficit to just a single score several times, but unfortunately for them each time the Giants were able to answer back with a quick TD. First on a 78 yard TD pass to Mario Manningham and then on a beastly 99 yard kickoff return TD by Ahmad Bradshaw:

A Corey Webster TAINT sealed the game for the Giants.

Final:
Giants - 42
Vikings - 14

haha what?? It was a good game for sure, but "should've been your game" I don't think I can agree with. You held the lead on average of like 30 seconds. 1:21 was your max.

i'm not going to go deep into the stats, lots of passing, not a lot of running. 1 pick by Revis which was pretty unsubstantial since the half was ending on that play. do you play Marshall as the #2 or #3 WR? Wilson was on him all day, and I'm not sure why. Even when he wasn't on the slot, he seemed to be on the side of Cro instead of Revis.

here's the winning td: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/38981553

great, crazy game.
The ravens are coming... The ravens are coming!!!!!!!
Man Nobody is worried about the Ravens on the Game.

Dolphins Trade: Chad Pennington (78 ovr) and 3rd rd Draft Pick
49ers Trade : Chilo Rachal (79 ovr) and Ahmad Brooks (75 ovr)

sorry Ubernes, I thought we had to send you a PM first.

Hey when is the second stabbing at Free Agents and if its not happening does anybody Have a back up Strong Safety with decent speed to replace Taylor Mays for 6 weeks overall does not matter ? I just need speed.

Good trade, although I don't know how much of an upgrade Pennington is over Nate Davis or Alex Smith.

As for the Ravens, I do enjoy fried birds.
