i do agree with Lexx.

If the "replacements" are going to just be uber, deuce, zurezo, rames, doomtime, bvharris,BigAT, master awesome,scotts54, and grand cru.......that completely makes it just a tad bit unfair;)

What was once a CPU guaranteed/likely win, has gone to a guaranteed loss for some of us...If there's going to be a rotation, it needs to be EVERYBODY in the league...so we get the bottom tier all the way to the top.....

I wasn't bashing anyone, just listing historically (recently at least) weak teams. Nothing to do with owners. I'm the god damn Bills, man! :p And I feel like with a few key improvements (*cough* QB *cough*) we can contend for an AFC wild card next year ourselves. Had a lot of close games this year, and 2 simmed games that could have gone either way if played, but ended as a loss for me. And I'm only quasi following the NFC in this league, as obviously I didn't get a chance to play you last year. I was too busy beating up on the NFC North :p (Minus the simmed Vikes game that could have gone either way).

AFC Wildcard, eh?

I'd have to say the steelers, colts, chargers and dolphins all might have something to say about that:D (the beatdown the bills put on the dolphins last week not withstanding)

I have little confidence in my boast for wild card...but I have to have a reason to play the Bills next year, do I not? :p

I was actually considering swapping teams, since I didn't make any trades, but I'm not sure if there's anyone available I'm too interested in taking. Although many of those teams are a lot better than the Bills >.> Hrm. We shall see.

Sadly I wish I could take myself out of this group, but I'll have to play a pretty damned perfect season in year 2 to unseat Doom, and I'm definitely prone to a stinker here and there.
 
I keep up with league scheduling fine for my Pats but I don't think I could keep up with filling in for an empty team. I like the idea though cause I found it unfair when people were getting a bunch of cpu games and I never saw one at all.
 
Bears game is a must win with the Vikings W. They split the season series, but with the win over the Lions, the Vikings now hold the better divisional record. If the Bears win then they are in.

Can someone let me know what time this game is being played? I was told tonight, but not sure when that is exactly.
 
I have been playing to much 2k11 lol I need to get some lab time in before my playoff match up before I get rolled over and my dreams for a second superbowl get swept under a rug.
 
Heyhow many people are getting the Call of Duty: Black Op's on release day I wouldn't mind some AFC vs NFC , Hardcore Search and Destroy or deathmatch. Lol
 
Good to see another hardcore search player. Count me in Cru I'll have it day one.

Also if anyone loves Alan Wake as much as I do but doesn't have the first DLC(the signal) I have an extra code I can give away.

We talked about 3-4 my time, so 6-7 Eastern.
 
So assuming that goes off w/o a hitch and we advance tonight... Zurezo/Deuce (whoever Madden decides to put me against) - I'll be available tonight or most any time tomorrow morning/afternoon. Sunday is dicier for me but I could probably squeeze it in after the Pats game and before the Redskins game.
 
Whomever will be my opponent...I will be able to play tonight anytime after 6:30 est (assuming we've advanced by then), not at all on saturday and any time after Ravens game on Sunday...although I would like to watch most of the Vikings/Cowboys game...
 
At the risk of tempting fate, here are my first-round playoff predictions. This assumes Madden correctly gives the division crowns to the Steelers and Saints in those tie situations (home team in bold):

Chargers (11-4-1) defeat Steelers (11-5) - I have to pick myself obviously. :D Plus, these teams have been moving in opposite directions and the injuries have really piled up for the Steelers, even with Big Ben back. Should be a good one though.

Ravens (11-5) defeat Texans (12-4) - Both these teams are very good, but it's hard to ignore the 28-6 win for the Ravens when they met just a few weeks back.

Panthers (12-4) defeat Bears/Vikings - Whichever team comes out of the NFC North, I still like the Panthers, who have been good all season and have a deadly run game.

Saints (12-4) defeat Cowboys (10-5-1) - I have to pick at least one home team to win, right? Brees was my MVP pick and I think he comes up big in the playoffs.

Since I'm not involved, I'll make my own predictions as well. I say...

Chargers over Steelers - The injuries hurt, but San Diego is also on a roll lately. A bad combination.

Texans over Ravens - I like the Texans bouncing back from the recent loss. Plus, one team beat me and I beat the other team, different parts of the season but that's my logic.

Panthers over NFC North winner - Whichever team comes out of the North here has also beat me, so we could see an upset. I'm saving my upset for later though. I'm giving it to the Panthers.

Cowboys with an upset over the Saints - Here's the upset. The Cowboys are sneaky good, flying under the impressive Giants and edging out the Redskins in the end for that last wild card spot.

I seem to remember reading just about everywhere how the Ravens were a juggernaut and surefire Super Bowl favorites, so I'm not sure how they're now considered underrated. Though I suppose most all of those posts were written by Deuce. :D

edit: How are those power rankings coming by the way? Are you waiting to see who comes out of the NFC North? I assume whichever team does is likely to be 12th.

I think that because I lost five very winnable games, the Ravens are somewhat overlooked and that's cool cuz there's no pressure on us... so the more people pick against us, the more pressure it puts on our opponents... and we all know what they say about pressure

I bet if we did a word search in this thread the Ravens will probably get the most hits out of any other team name. There's plenty of teams being overlooked in the playoffs, but I don't think the Ravens are one of them.

RE: Power rankings. I have not started them yet. I guess I should do that. I'm sort of swamped with work, trying not to get too distracted but I could dedicate some time to it. I'm sure it won't be too much work with limited teams involved and probably not all that much movement. Maybe I'll do them now.

If anybody is overlooked its these 49ers lol and Mr Grand Cru I feel like the Boston Celtic is in their series against the Cav's last season ! I'm hoping Big At can play the role of the Cavs lol

Alright, to the Bears:

If we're trying to get our playoff games in either tonight or early tomorrow, then my best bet would be tonight around 11:00 p.m. EST or potentially at 12 a.m. EST...nothing later than that though. I have a class tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. so I don't want to be running on like 5 or 6 hours of sleep for that. So if we can't get our game in tonight then I'd have to wait until around 6 p.m. EST tomorrow...but from then on, I should be good to play at any time Saturday night.

I'm about to head out. Need to stop and get dinner but I should be around later. Zurezo - If I'm playing you we'll try to get it in tonight, maybe around 10 or 10:30. If I'm playing Deuce, we can get it in this weekend.
