Don't give me that....as I have said previously, if it were an incidental disconnect you would or should have had the courtesy to say "lets try later". The fact that you didn't try to communicate whatsoever is an indictment as far as I am concerned. I guess the fact that you paused the game and it disconnected as soon as you threw the pick is a mere "coincidence" right.

Lastly, I had been online and had played 3 consecutive games online without incident before you and I started. I haven't had a single connection issue at all for the entire season...ask any of my opponents. If you wanna play again, I'm up to it, but I don't have time to deal with ho-shit!
 
well... Ravens-Browns was attempted 4 times but got d/c'd before the coin toss all 4 times. Gonna try again tomorrow around 11am.

I wouldn't bother blaming anyone for connection issues--I had probably 10 straight games (3 different opponents) where I d/ced, then suddenly, last night, I had two straight go without a hitch. Weird shit. Also, I have a friend who plays on PS3 who seems to have similar issues in their franchises.

2. Since you weren't available after the "coincidental" disconnect the only conclusion that I was left to draw was that you were too much of a pussy to take the L so you quit...you don't have anything to play for as it is, I can understand that, but be a damn Man about it...or be respectful enough to send a message that indicates that you didn't quit. As soon as I was back in the lobby you were logged off XBL so I still think you turned off your system during the game, but that's kool, whats done is done.

Kickoff returning is way too easy in this game. I have a couple of strategies for containing the kicking game, though nothing I'd care to share publicly. ;)

Bush also had a punt return for a TD but it got called back for a penalty which was never indicated during the play itself.

And one of the biggest annoyances I have is with QBs and their complete inability to hold onto the ball, even if you're holding the right bumper. If you scramble and can't get the slide down in time you WILL fumble the ball 99% of the time.

Yeah, it's definitely annoying. That's true of every QB, even ones like Vick who are better runners. I have him as a backup in my offline franchise, and its frustrating how careful I have to be when running with him.

It's essentially the reason I don't scramble too much. In last year's league when I was the Titans I did quite a bit with Young, but was always pretty careful to run out of bounds after getting the 1st.

I don't remember, either. It was just a small part of that whole debacle over what happened in week 1.

As for my game with BigAT... what a game. I came so close I could taste it, but BigAT pulled out the win. Granted, he sat Eli Manning, so the result could very well have been different had Eli played, but Rhett Bomar threw some bombs, and that's what really killed me in the end. Taht, and his pass rush was just brutal.

I started off terribly, throwing an interception (my only one of the game) on my opening drive which soon led to a touchdown for New York. I had to punt on my next drive, then I forced a fumble with the Giants 5 yards from the end zone. Still, after getting the ball out to the 35 or so, I was forced to punt again. I rallied to tie the game with a deep touchdown pass, making it 7-7 at halftime.

The Giants didn't screw around after getting the 2nd half kickoff, scoring in 15 seconds on a 75 yard chuck to Steve Smith, who was hit immediately by 3 Packers but was all nonchalant, like, "fuck y'all" and broke the tackles en route to a touchdown.

I responded a minute and a half later to tie it up at 14, and then I forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff for a Jordy Nelson TD. That was challenged and overturned, however, and BigAT once again struck quickly with the deep ball, converting on an 88 yard score to Mario F. Manningham. A 46 yard field goal, right down the middle, from Lawrence Tynes halfway through the 4th made it 24-14.

After being backed up inside my own 5, I got the first down and drove down the field to score and make it a 3 point ballgame with 1:15 left. I had to try the onside kick, even though I think I'm something like 0 for 5 lifetime on those in Madden 11. BigAT recovered, converted a first down after I called 1 of my remaining 2 timeouts, and then ran out the clock to get the win, 24-21.

New York Giants 24, Green Bay Packers 21

Even though Eli wasn't playing, I'm very happy with how I played. I haven't really been playing Madden outside of online franchise, but I think I've improved a lot since the first few weeks of the season. I've had some bad luck with injuries as well as things affecting me physically and mentally, but I've played well against several playoff teams and have beaten a few of them, and I'm not having the interception problems that plagued me in season 3 of Madden 10. I'm definitely making progress and having fun.

Again, great game, BigAT!

That Travis Beckum fumble really changed the complexion of the game. I was set to have first and goal inside the five, all ready to go up 14-0 early on and be an extremely comfortable position. Instead it is tied at 7 going into halftime and the game was suddenly very competitive.

The Rhett Bomar Show made its debut. I was forced to use him a lot more than I would have liked because Matt basically snuffed out my running game, but he performed fairly well going 8-12 for 262 yards and 3 TDs. Unfortunately he also had an interception and a fumble. There was a while there where I thought I was going to have to pull Eli off the bench to come save the day, but thankfully I got that field goal to put me up two scores late.
