The invite system is weird (I think it may be bugged at the moment). I sent out invites to starmask and byedesign, but on the page that's supposed to show who I sent invites to, it just shows my name twice, like I sent myself invites. Let me know if you guys got those or not. Also, I've tried inviting some others (fates_titan and midguy) but it wont let me send them out because you haven't played Madden yet, so yeah.
Anyways, the internet-based program for online franchise isn't up yet, otherwise I'd link it, but the name of the franchise is "CAGiversary". I believe it's public so feel free to join through your game if that's possible.

Is anyone having framerate drops during the snap? The screen would literally freeze for a second right after a snap which screws up the running game and FG attempts. I want to know if its my PS3 that's doing it, it's been doing this since last year's Madden. It totally blows...

Can any of you Madden vets give me any advice on how to better my defense skills? I'm playing around with the formation defenses instead of the by play and I cannot pick up on the difference aside from player positioning.
I get freezing and slowdowns on an old PS3 model but nothing asbad as what you describe.

That is something going on with your PS3 or Madden Disk. If it does not happen wth other games, go get te disk switched out where you bought it. If that doesn't work, PS3 may be geting old. Could also be internet connection if you're playing while connected to the internet. Even if it is an offline game, the internet can affect the game. Happens with FIFA when I play offline but connected.

This is offline, with the ethernet cable plugged and unplugged. I created a similar topic on Gamefaqs and it seems other people are having this issue as well. It can't be the copy of the game because last year I was having the same issue with 2010.

? Why are all runningbacks Superman this year? Why can they shed like ten guys piling onto them? Why do defenders control like COMPLETE shit?
I just had to turn the game off because I'm so pissed. TWO bombs to a wide open Brandon Marshall and he misses them both. The first one, he STOPS MID ROUTE AND TURNS AROUND. WHAT!? Don't give up man, playing other players is better than the A.I. Im on vacation but will be back Friday to play the game more. I catch you guys on this weekend of anyone wants a practice game. I also have a friend who wants to join so I will call the patriots for him. I'll be back Friday Night!!

Who were you playing against? On what difficulty? I've only played one game so far on All-Pro, controlling a linebacker most of the time, and I didn't really have any problem stopping the run. Had 10+ tackles (10 min quarters), probably 3 for a loss. Then again, I was playing against Tampa Bay, whose running back is...Cadillac Williams. So, yeah...
Edit: Was controlling Jon Beason. So, yeah, one of the best linebackers in the game vs. a below-average RB probably had something to do with that.

I take it the Vikings/Saints game was played by someone that's no longer in the franchise? There's no way for a commish to undo a played game, is there?

I'm in a hotel at Foxwoods and won't be able to play until I get back on Friday. I have no problem with a password. I don't want any ers to use my vikes!! If you're running Dolphins offense, take advantage of the wildcat. I've scored some rediculous touchdowns alternating between wildcat, passing, and runs.

Hmm, you must've been the dude I played yesterday. If so, I hate you Playing against some guy yesterday who brings out the wildcat on like 3rd and 19, and I literally laugh out loud. He then proceeds to burn me on a 80 yard RB pass (even pretty much knew it was coming -- what else was he going to run?).
Good news for the people here: Evidently, I stink at this game. Won the first game I played (unranked), proceeded to lose two ranked games, and two MUT games. In my defense, though, my MUT starting QB is...Jim Sorgi. Anything over about 15 yards, and you're lucky to get it within 10 yards of the receiver. Two of my touchdowns have come because he hits a receiver in the chest -- a receiver 15 yards away from the receiver he was throwing it to. At least they catch it in this game. In old Maddens, they'd let it bounce off their face if they weren't the intended receiver.

I'm playing franchise w/Ravens and good/average RB's run right over me - I mean 4 missed tackles are common. I could see once a game or so, the back gets a head of steam going and knocks people backwards, but this is a little frustrating. I'm playing on All-pro and am thinking about going w/custom sliders to make rush defense a little easier. It's not like I'm not putting 8 men in the box, etc - I mean even Ray Lewis gets run right over.
I've not yet played an online game, so I'll see how that goes.

I played a MUT game last night with someone that ran the wildcat with Reggie Bush. I actually don't think he got a single good run off out of it -- just that RB pass. I guess different things work for different people.

Yeah, I mean it's all pretty situational as far as what works and againts who. You have to remember, and I say this because I'm not a hardcore player, but you have to remember that some guys practice with every single teams D book just to figure everything out. Ontop of that, a lot of players change things on every single play. I'm not that into it yet, I barely know what plays stop what. Also, you think you know what will stop the run but then you can't stop it because the run is overpowered. Hell, I can't pass for crap. I have T.O, Ocho, and Palmer but my passing game sucks! I was acutally going to take the patriots over the bengals just to have Brady. I don't even like the damn Patriots! >

i joined the league
I'm ready to smash something. Playing through the Madden Moments and I'm on the Vikings/Ravens one where you're down by 13 with three minutes left to play. I finally completed it, got back to the main menu, went to start the next Madden Moment, and sure enough, my ing PS3 freezes. So, since I didn't save right after completing the last MM, I now get to spend another hour hoping I get lucky while re-doing the god damn challenge.
The fact that there's no auto-save blows my mind. Why the would I ever NOT want to save my progress?

Annnnnd...my PS3 froze again. Tried it once, wasn't going to be able to complete it so I backed out and went to re-launch the challenge (because ya' know, why would there be a retry/restart option from the pause screen, who doesn't like loading all the way back out to the main menu just to load right back into the challenge) and what do ya' know, it freezes once again.
