TRADE ALERT

The Arizona Cardinals send

HB Adrian Peterson 98 Ovr, 31 yo, A Pot

the Cardinals 2nd round draft pick.

to the Giants for

RE Jason Pierre Paul 86 Ovr, A pot, 25 yo

and

C Beau McQueen 89 Ovr, A pot, 24 yo
------
I know it's a little funky trading away the two players I traded for in the past, but things change.

Thoughts guys?

I'm not sure the 2nd rounder is necessary. This isn't 2011 season JPP the Cardinals are getting here. He's still a decent piece, but hardly a superstar on the rosters we use.

Also LV, I don't think the overall numbers you've got there are accurate. Keep in mind we haven't advanced XFN yet, so you should be getting the numbers either from the EA site or in-game.
I miss a few hours and AP is gone! Guys, I'm looking for a RB upgrade!
You also need to weigh in on all these deals. ;)

Snooze ya lose Uber. The guy was on the block for a whole 30 minutes!

I know no one said it was, but I really don't feel like trading for and then trading away AP and Brees is that crazy. I couldn't play with Kolb for some reason, and got a great deal to get Brees. I needed a RB and Beanie and Williams were still pretty undeveloped at that point, so I got AP without giving away any big names.

Now anybody that has played me without Brees (or sometimes with) can see why I would definately want Vick more (so that one is a no-brainer for me)

And I finally feel like Williams is ready to start, AP had a good run, not a great run but a good run. And I think these new pieces will fit really well on the team, and the Cardinals will be better for it.

Have for trade:

1-4 draft picks
FS- Antrel Rolle, currently OVR 82 POT B AGE 31 or 32
HB- Ahmad Bradshaw (pending AP trade), OVR 89 POT A SPD 92 ACC 97 TRK 89 ELU 89 CAR 75

Looking for:

FB- with high strength, (85+) run block footwork, run block strength, and impact blocking
DT- 85-89
WR- 80-89 OVR
C- with high strength, (85+) run block footwork, run block strength, and impact blocking
Draft picks- 1st or 2nd round

Adrian Peterson, best player in the games been traded 3 times....nonsense man, nonsense.
we should have a limit on how times a 95+ player can be traded cuz its a lil ridiculous. nobody in their right mind would ever trade AP. the trade is fair on paper and in terms of madden i guess but its just unrealistic for a player of his caliber to be traded away once, let alone 3 times.

He's got a shitty locker room attitude, the guy is a cancer, had to let him go.

Unless Blade reads this in which case he was a fine upstanding young gentleman. And a Scholar.

It's really the only response at this point.

The trading in this league is not intended to be realistic (ie likely to happen in real life): If it was realistic there would be hardly any trades of significant established players, which is the case in the NFL. It's intended to be fun. Shitting on stars getting traded is so tired at this point, moreover it's all been said countless times. Get over it.
You also need to weigh in on all these deals. ;)
They all look good on my end. I continue to be impressed by your ability to not only get the player with the higher OVR but younger as well. Best of both worlds!

All the trades look square to me as well.

Seattle is looking to acquire another first round pick, the earlier the better of course.
I continue to be impressed by your ability to not only get the player with the higher OVR but younger as well. Best of both worlds!
Actually I think this is the first trade I've done that really fits both of those criteria. The only one which comes to mind was Ochocinco for Michael Johnson in season two, hardly my biggest blockbuster.

I've done very well in trading. As I've said before, trading is my Super Bowl. :D

Edit: Unless you're talking about the KC deal. I guess it applies there, but 2 points in overall and 2 years is not really anything to write home about. ;)

your response wasnt predictable or anything bv, coming from mr. fantasy team himself. all i stated was an opinion mr commish, no need to get hostile with me
Already forgot the Welker deal? :)

That was balanced out though.
See my edit. I thought it was the Welker deal you were talking about, didn't occur to me that the NE-KC deal was even worthy of snark. ;)

If we play long enough for there to be a significant difference between a B Potential 28 year-old and a B Potential 30 year-old I'll be pretty impressed.
your response wasnt predictable or anything bv, coming from mr. fantasy team himself. all i stated was an opinion mr commish, no need to get hostile with me
Your "opinion" has been noted. You also mentioned nobody in their right mind would ever trade AP - since I did trade him I assume that includes me. You're welcome to your opinion, I don't have to like your attitude.

Bring something other than a complaint to the table once in a while and I'll be sunshine and lollipops.

I might be done trading unless a (wildly unrealistic) Brady blockbuster emerges out of left-field. Not that I won't keep poking around. :)

I'm still interested in fiddling with my O-line a bit, but at this point I might just hold out and see if there's a project C or RT I can grab in the draft.

Reminder: Once these trades are approved, please do not drop the guys you traded.

1) You can't add players in the offseason anyway, only drop them.

2) It slows down the process of putting the trades through post-draft. Which in turn makes you all wait longer to play your week 1 games!

Thanks!

Yea ill check it out I seen u playin it the other day...I could use a game like that especially since blitz was pretty bad
why was bannon added to the pats deal?
I already answered this. I wanted to get some DT depth back in the deal since that was my plan for the 2nd round pick which got thrown in.
Pacer still owns the Eagles right?
Right.

i feel like that RG is the Gem of the deal and welker and a 2nd for the RG would be mostly fair.

if everyone is good with it then im good with it

Bannan is depth. He's 35 years old and 72 OVR, he's not Haloti Ngata. The 2nd rounder everyone wanted in the deal is in the deal, there's no need to split hairs.

There are 5 or 6 other deals involving stars currently on the table. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on those.
dont see the need in arizona sending philly a second rounder in the AP trade.
You mean New York, right?

And I agree. I think those guys straight-up for AP is fair enough. JPP in this game isn't Professional Tom Brady Pass Knocker Downer Super Bowl Champ JPP, just a serviceable end with decent speed. If it were Madden 13 JPP when he'll likely be a 90+ stud, I'd agree with Arizona sending back a pick.

Well guys. I hate for this to happen so suddenly after only joining the league yesterday. I have found out today that I will not have as much free time in the future due to some unforeseen circumstances. So I will have to drop the league. I thanks you all for your hospitality, and hopefully I will be able to join up again when Madden 13 comes out.

Good luck in season four!

Well, that's the briefest membership ever. :D

Sorry to hear that, feel free to check in again in the future if you have more time, we'd love to have you (though things do tend to be a bit more crowded at launch).

Thanks for joining up, however briefly!

Thanks! And I hope to able to join back in the future, but I just can't do it right now.

they seem ok the the ones that really stood out to me was the Seahawks and jags deal and the jags and dolphins deal

the seahawks and jags deal is ok just because ray rice turns 30 at the end of next season and the other two players are a good choice because they are not as good as rice but their age and pot make up for it

I think the marshall deal is a little slanted towards the Dolphins but not by too much but the jags is getting a true #1 that they need but a 1st and a 2nd for a player that will be 32 after next season??? thats the question.....

but if everyone else is ok with this im fine with it

once again. 32 years Old is NOT OLD. ffs. i'm approaching 30..and i'm about to slap some of you people upside your heads....

my unintentional laugh of the day

but IN FOOTBALL years, 32 is generally the beginning of the sunset for most positions that require speed

Sooo, where does one go from here?

I'm willing to send him one of my third string DT's or back up lineman instead of the second (he had mentioned in the thread he wanted those positions). But I mean, just AP is ok too.

Come on man, don't you know that if you're not under 25 and A potential, you might as well be geriatric.

It's like Logan's Run: The League around here. :D
