Sorry about your grandmother.

I'd be willing to do it if nobody else steps up, but we should try and find someone with a more similar record. Volunteers?
Calling Siradam? Just looking at guys with similar records and he jumps out as active and reliable enough to handle 2 teams for a couple games.

Good call. Staticz also mentioned to me he'd be willing to sub, and his record's not too far off.
Your record is even better than mine, doofus. ;)
It was worth a shot. Can't wait to play those new look Patriots.
Can't wait to play those new look Patriots.
The look probably won't be too different, I've already been pretty much 50-50 run pass this year, I doubt that will change. Peterson's definitely a bit more frightening coming out of the backfield than little Danny Woodhead though.

I might not be done either, I've got a couple of other irons in the fire.

Got to tool up for the post-bye Zurezo-BigAT-ubernes-Doomtime gauntlet of doom on my schedule. :cold:
So I would imagine we'll be advancing late tonight or earlyish tomorrow. I'm already going to PM the Chargers now about scheduling my game. I would guess it would be safe to schedule for 7pm EST tomorrow and onward.
So scheduling Week 7 for tomorrow afternoon likely won't work, correct? Just want to make sure, as I'd tentatively set up my game for the afternoon. Not a big deal, can move it to Wednesday, just wanted to clarify.
I got a similar gauntlet.

Pats, Steelers, Bears, Jets, Packers
Turns out there are a lot of good players in this league. Who knew? :D

I wouldn't count on it until we know for sure when this Packer game is being played. Even if it's played tomorrow afternoon I won't be able to advance us til 630pm EST anyways, unless BV can get on earlier than that.

I can be around if needed.

True, I'll be satisfied as long as I can end up healthy and with a first round bye.

Are we still doing that core player rule in trading?? With how many of these blockbuster trades are being proposed just today...I feel like it's a question worth asking lol. I'd be fine doing away with that rule...most people in the league have been playing together long enough that we can trust them to make their own decisions about building their teams.

Just to refresh everyone's memory: I believe it was 3 or 4 core players were allowed to be traded per season (someone correct me if I'm wrong) - a player in the 80's was considered 1 core player and someone 90+ was 2 core players...1st/2nd round draft picks were 1 core player as well.

I feel good about my playoff hopes on initial look at the early standings, but I think my loss to the Pats knocked me out for any bye talks. Though with a shot at the Chiefs, another vs the Pats and I believe both of you guys playing Zurzero then maybe I can make some ground up.

IIRC, it was 6 total trades, max of 4 core players. The breakdown was just as you said, except only 1st rounders counted as a core. And it's the players you're sending, not the ones you're getting. So I'm trading 3 core players (Woodhead, Haynesworth, 1st rounder) and Superstar is trading 2 (AP).

I'm fine with either raising the cap or getting rid of it. I'm also fine with keeping it.
OK Matt Young: I'm getting off XBL but will be up for a little while longer. PM me if you want to get our game in!

I sent an invite, but then you signed out. :(
PM the man. ;)

the 49ers see that they missed out on all of the trade festivities today due to a long day at work , I will be posting my trade Block very shortly, which is pretty much my whole team for the right pieces.

Anyone interested in Lee Evans by the way? 30 years old, 81 OVR, B potential...96 speed, 86 catching, 86 route running, 74 catch in traffic, 82 spectacular catch, 73 release. Boy I am just all caught up in the trading frenzy!!! Who wants a Raven?!?!
I'm just glad to see other people are joining me under the trade spoiler in the main post
I'm mostly impressed that in the 8.5 hours since I posted this:
It's a little sad that when there's a slow day at work I get disappointed that there isn't more action going on in the league. Someone make a controversially lopsided trade, quick!
We filled up 10 pages of action. Way to go, guys! :D

I could use him actually. What do you want?

What are you looking for in return? A little old for this Jaguars team, but the receiving corps suck here in Jacksonville.
That's called accumulating assets and maximizing their value. It's basically the reason the Pats stockpile all those picks. Obviously they don't get to do anything this extreme with them, but the principle is the same.
understood... I do that on my offline franchise... IMO, the vikes should've gotten something like 2 firsts for AP because he IS their offense...not to mention one of the top two RBs in the league. obviously, not every team has multiple first rd picks so if ur gonna sell ur soul...at least make it worth your time and energy

Actually, 2 firsts was my opening offer. :D He wanted players and picks, so we found something which worked for both of us.

I haven't been able to use AP right on this team for some reason. Maybe I am just horrible at running in madden 12. AP is definitely not my offense in this game (although he obviously is in real life). I am slowly working on improving my defense, particularly run defense.

Trading Block :

Patrick Willis: 98 ovr 26 yr old A Potential MLB
Frank Gore : 91 ovr 28 yr old A potential RB

Braylon Edwards : 84 ovr 28 yr old B Potential WR ( out for like 4 weeks I believe )
Ahmad Brooks : 76 ovr 27 yr old B Potential LOLB
Navarro Bowman : 73 ovr 22 yr old C potential MLB 82 speed.

TRADE ALERT

Another blockbuster (not) trade for everyone to review:

Pats Get:
Tavaris Jackson, QB: 72 OVR, B POT, 28

Seahawks Get:
Josh Barrett, SS: 63 OVR, C POT, 26

I'm carrying 4 QBs since the Freeman deal didn't get done until after FA was over, might as well get some depth for one of them!

I could beat that trade. Stop by my store

hey... whatever floats u guys' boat... I wasnt against the trade, just thought AP was worth more considering the plethora of options the Pats had at their disposal
Can we put our blocks in the Wiki, or is it ok to repost every 10 pages?
Let's do this: Make a post of your trading block and maintain that one post, and I'll link to it in the OP.
cru, I dont see vernon davis' name on your trade block...or crabtree...
Anybody on my team is available but Vernon will cost a whole lot he is the one piece that is the identity of my offense.
Seems like a pretty crappy SS for a guy like Tavaris. Even though he can't throw 10 yards, he's decent
It's depth for depth. He's got 3 better QBs on his roster now. I offered him Kyle Love (70 OVR DT), but he wanted Barrett. He's not great, but he's got some speed in that spot.

Jaguars Trade Block:

Maurice Jones-Drew, RB: 95 overall, 26 years old, A potential
Mercedes Lewis, TE: 90 overall, 27 years old, A potential
Aaron Kampman, RE: 86 overall, 31 years old, B potential
Brad Meester, C: 85 overall, 34 years old, B potential
Greg Jones, FB, 84 overall, 30 years old, B potential
Zach Miller, TE: 73 overall, 26 years old, C potential
