Gg sprice. Can I add a c from fa now? I'm 0-4.I'd like to add Shaun o'hara. My bye week is week 5, so its not like he's going to help me now.
Let's wait until Week 5. I've made a note that he's who you want though, so I'll make sure he's allotted to you when it's your turn to pick.

Wow you guys know a lot about this game...I hardly ever audible pre-snap, my pre-snap adjustments involve shifting my D-line out if I think it's a pass play or toss, or shifting them in if I think it's a run up the middle. And the occasional CB press...

I know you input your Ray Lewis hyperspeed glue on hands cheat code before each play. You can't fool me. :bouncy:

Ok, np

Well thankfully my analasys of Von Miller's Injury was totally wrong, Apparently Dehydration is an injury this year? He's only out till next week. Dawkins is out until week 10 or 11. Broncos and Packers is in the process of being scheduled.

Seriously.

Have you ever been dehydrated? ;)

Definitely not something which is going to let you go back in and play football at an NFL level (or close to it).

RE: Packers vs. Broncos- Still no word from Venom. I've texted him a couple times but got no response. Was supposed to go to Vegas yesterday but I had to back out of that trip so I've been around.

For those that do Ultimate Team, there is a Breast Cancer Awareness pack for 400 points (points only) that nets you six player cards. I got Dallas Clark, Julius Peppers, Shonn Green, Jerad Mayo, a 94 rated FB and a 84 rated FS. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

The Eagles-49ers are playing tonight. I'm 0-3, soon to be 0-4. So I'll likely be at the top of the waiver process. I'd just like the highest-rated LB.

Another beating today, this time at the hands of the Cleveland Browns. My first game in a hurricane (I guess that makes me lucky...somehow), and after choosing to kickoff, I was fortunate enough to get an interception on the opening drive in Cleveland territory. I tried to play it safe and just go for "easy points", so I ran the ball, but came up short of the first down. Then Bironas missed the 51 yd FG. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it was raining. After that, everything went down hill for me.

Ultimate Matt X did a good job mixing his playcalling and seemed to always have my zone defense sniffed out. He scored twice to go up 14-0. I started to rally and put together a decent drive, until Nate Washington slipped and fell making a cut, turning what would have been a nice reception with some room to run, into an easy INT (thank you, Madden...and go fuck yourself). This led to another TD, and a 21-0 lead. I put up some points in the 2nd half and made the smallest hint of a rally by recovering an onside kick down 21-10. But another INT shut the door on this one.

Since I doubt this game helps me move up at all in power rankings, I'm guessing I'll have first pick for free agents, right? I'm actually thinking about picking up TO since Nate Washington is my 2nd best receiver at a 78. I'm just not really confident in having a QB to get him the ball. Despite his high ratings, I just can't play with Hasselbeck. His accuracy is awful, and he often overthrows guys by 5-10 yards. I did a little better when I brought Locker into the game in the 4th quarter. I'm thinking about putting Hasselbeck on the trading block, but I'm not in love with the idea of having my top QB being rated a 74...not that the rest of this season matters anyway. I'll definitely entertain offers for Hasselbeck though.

I'm just checking in here to let yall know i sent a pm to pitfall yesterday morning but still have not heard anything back from him.
Im still trying to make some trades before it is too late, whats good ?
It would help if you posted again what you were looking for and what you're willing to give up.
Bucs-Colts game should get played tonight.
this and Freeman is up for trade send me a PM with any offers you have.

Packers beat Broncos at Lambeau to remain undefeated. Green Bay took a 21-3 lead into the 4th quarter, when Denver rallied to score 15 points. However, a Ryan Grant touchdown and long Crosby field goal kept the Broncos at bay. Great game, Venom!

Green Bay Packers 31, Denver Broncos 18

Chargers beat the Dolphins to get back to .500 for the year. A heavily defensive game the Dolphins drove into Charger territory three times but came away with only Field Goals. The Chargers rushed to 3 TDs in the 3rd quarter and were driving in the 4th, when a well timed INT by the Dolphins defense brought the game within one score for a Miami lead.

Chad Henne tried to rally his team but threw a pick late in the 4th, allowing the Chargers to run out the clock.

San Diego Chargers 21, Miami Dolphins 16

Great game to a solid opponent who kept me on m heels the entire time. His defensive was amazing and forced me into a one dimensional attack I was not comfortable with at all.

You make my green blood cry!! C'mon you can get a win! :applause:

Week 4: Dolphins @ Chargers
Chargers: 21
Dolphins: 16

Miami's Defense: 1 Interceptions, 2 Sacks, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Touchdown
Miami's Offense: 93 Yards Passing / 36 Yards Rushing

Chargers Defense: 1 Interceptions, 1 Sack
Chargers Offense: 227 Yards Passing, 2 TD / 33 Rushing Yards,1 TD
Would you guys agree with me that it's a bit much to go no huddle in five wide sets when you're up by 20 with under 90 seconds left in the game?
That's pretty safe to say.

Don't do this. Tanabeo consider this a warning. Everyone one else, don't be a dick as well.

Definitely. Did someone do that?

Yeah, that's pretty messed up. Sounds like somebody is a little concerned with his "power ranking". There's enough douchebaggery in online ranked. We definitely don't need it in this league.
Definitely. Did someone do that?
That would be me i got pissed for some reason when he showed off going into the endzone so i just ran around with johnson give me a strike and douche of the week if you want.

Getting pissed when you're up by 20? Really?

Lol I'm actually glad that game got desynced, whatever that is...I felt really bad for you, I wouldn't want to win that way. I cringed after that pick six to end the half...your team seems to fumble a lot between this league and the other one lol.

This game is far from over but if I somehow pull this off MA you are free to hate me. I had the chance to change my gameplan drastically. The don't throw on MA strategy.

Looks like Rex Ryan was granted one wish. Watch one half of the worst case scenario with his match up vs the Ravens and then try to do the exact opposite in the game that happened to count. The gameplan change? DO NOT THROW THE BALL. Sanchez threw the ball 6 times, none for TDs, no big gainers and somehow, someway the Jets stole a victory in Baltimore.

The wildcat was largely featured for the first time since 2008. Kerley and LT looked pretty great sharing the carries, and they were able to keep from turning the ball over. Something Greene and Sanchez weren't able to do at all when they were featured in the offense. I don't know if this is the new-look Jets, or just a drastic change for a game that apparently needed one.

GG, MA. As I said above...now I feel bad. We both got gypped a bit in our respective games, but I'm sure you'll get your revenge in the playoffs if you get the chance to boot me out of them haha.

How the hell do you stop the wildcat...seriously. I tried 4-3, Nickel, Dime, Quarter D...blitzing, not blitzing, man cover, zone cover...nothing worked. I mean, it's not like I knew it wasn't coming every time...the opponent's formation says "Wildcat". There was absolutely NO way to stop it. I know over-committing linebackers and safeties on blitz plays can lead to huge runs so logic told me to leave them in zone coverage on the outside, but that didn't work at ALL.

Look at Shonn Greene's yards running out of regular formations (9 carries for 11 yards) vs. Kerley/Tomlinson running purely out of wildcat (a combined 15 carries for 242 yards). Can we seriously discuss this?? I don't fault uber for running it so much since I obviously couldn't stop it...but to me, if you know a play is coming and apply EVERY possible formation and defensive strategy to try and stop it and nothing works, that just screams "BROKEN" to me. Sure, I had a couple successful occasions where I stopped the runner for a loss...but then I'd run the same exact defensive play and the runner would break off a 60 yard run. I know the Wildcat isn't typically a popular formation...so people probably don't have a lot of experience dealing with it. That could mean that it's somewhat broken but people just don't know it since people don't generally run it a lot...or I could just be an idiot and be doing something wrong, but like I said...I tried EVERYTHING short of Field Goal block.

And how can you say my D is "insane" when I allowed almost 300 yards rushing lol...I appreciate the compliment, but I don't see your reasoning there.

Gg regardless...your defense was solid. You seemed to know where I was going almost every play...you'd user your defender right into coverage most of the time but just couldn't seem to get your hands up fast enough to go for the pick (you were probably caught off guard cause you assumed there was no way I'd throw it right to the guy you were right on top of lol). And you made a couple good tackles on my run plays with your safety too...notably the stop at 3rd and 1.
Only 3 games left besides me vs MA, which should be played tonight.

Steelers/Texans, Bills/Bengals, Redskins/Rams... updates?
Bengals hasn't even logged into CAG for a few days now so I can't even contact him.

RE: Wildcat

I haven't had anyone use it against me. I probably use it a couple times a game because I like Kerley and I don't use him enough in the passing game. With that said, it's never been that successful. Maybe I get lucky with my blockers and I gain 10, but none of the 20+ yarders we saw tonight. So just based on that experience I would be hard pressed to say it's a exploit.

As far as your D goes...not sure if it was me not reading things correctly tonight, but a lot of the zones you threw at me stopped almost all of my passing attack. There was no way I could sustain a game based on that. Even your run D as you said was solid on Greene, which were the more traditional running plays. I always had a careful eye on Lewis, but even when I cut back in or hit a gap he wasn't in, I would be lucky to gain 3-4 yards as someone else would grab me.

My D was the only thing I really liked from my game. The wildcat I see as a fluke until it works even half as well as it did again. It's funny you mention that 3rd and 1 stop because I was frantically trying to switch to Smith and I just got to him at the snap and it just worked out so that by the time I got to the line of scrimmage there was that gap I closed right up. Anyways, GG again.

I used to get gashed constantly by the Wildcat, but I found a play which contains it pretty consistently. Keeping it to myself though. ;)

I have been sending listerfiend messages on xbox live and on the form no response it to me he ducking me our plus I send him a friend request on xbox

Ducking you lol. Something may have come up on his end. If he hasn't been responding uber will boot him for this week and you can play a cpu or sub. Not sure how we're doing it.

Listerfiend is the new Mayweather.

So I just PMed this out:
Please check into the thread ASAP and post your availability for today. I would have liked to advance before the 1pm EST games but that doesn't look likely. So, please post your availability or if you've heard from your opponent and have a scheduled time. We'll be doing boots and getting subs ready so hopefully we can advance before the evening game.

I still plan on advancing today. I have faith in Rames/Zurezo but honestly haven't heard from either. It looks like we may need a sub for Lister so Man2008 post your availability for the day and we'll find you a sub. I believe VeryCheapGame also was looking for itlnstln in here at one point so we may need a sub there as well. Keep me updated!

Uber, how's late tomorrow night (like 9 or 10 est) work for you?

I'm psyched for our first AFC East clash, though I think you're still ahead of me at this point in terms of acclimation to your team.

Tomorrow I'm playing bball 9 to midnight so we'd have to start in the 7-730 range if you wanted to go tomorrow. Tuesday is wide open after 7, Wed the same most likely.

Just curious, but since we're anticipating advancing to week 5 tonight, what is the process for the free agent pickups going to be? I'm sure a lot of people will want to make sure they've made their acquisition before playing their next game.
