DVO...I can actually play tonight, if I've been booted I will need the password, someone can PM it to me. I'm available from now until whenever.
Never booted you, you should be good to go.
I would just like to point out that the QB with the most rushing yards this season isn't black.... He's white:d lol
Well I have be playing with Brees! T-Jack shall have that stat by years end!

Commish Battle V going down in a little over an hour. We've split the season series both years so far, will be interesting to see if one of us can finally break through and get a sweep this year!

Uber, I'm not gonna lie, I've been scouting your stats for like an hour and I still can't figure out how the hell you're doing this with Shonn Greene. That terrifies me.

:D

Be on in a second
Servers just go down? I can't reconnect.
Same. Just when I thought I'd seen every disconnect. That was a good game so far too.

gg uber. To my dying day, I'll never understand how Jermaine Cunningham (he of 38 catch and 20 spectacular catch) made one of the most ridiculous one-handed interceptions I've ever seen. We should be in overtime right now or you should have won. Great defensive battle, but I had no business winning that one.

Full write-up in a bit.

Without that pick while I was up and without that fumble as I was driving into FG range, OT would've been your best hope. I wish I could tip my cap a little more, but those two turnovers were such bullshit and at the most bullshit times in the game that I just can't make myself do it.

I don't blame you. Well, the fumble was a fumble, so not really BS but I can't take any credit for it either, just one of those things which happens in the rain. The pick was the most ridiculous one I've ever seen in this game, and that's saying a lot.

The pick was especially BS considering Keller was wide the hell open and probably had 30 yards before a safety caught up to him. It pretty much changed the entire game.

Well, he was wide open except for Cunningham standing between them. Believe it or not, that was the play I called there, dropping Cunningham into the flat to try and clog up that route you'd had so much success with Keller on (which is the route you ran). So looking at the replay, Cunningham was in the area I intended him to be, plus he was a LB in college so his zone coverage rating is semi-respectable. It was the catch itself which was ridiculous. I do think he probably would have knocked it down otherwise.
colts bills scheduled for 830 u might wanna decide wut ur doing bout widow should i tell my bro to play it or wait?
Play it. Widow's fine for now, we had a chat in PMs.

I assumed he was, but I also assumed he was a good 5-10 yards in front of Keller. I would hope any QB can see the person 5 yards in front of them and throw to the person 5-10 yards behind them with ease. A knocked down ball wouldn't have resulted in 7 points either. My D was doing pretty alright for itself, I would have been fine punting the ball with the lead.

Speaking of punting, I know I should have waited for your play call but up 7 I figured you'd just punt it on 4th. It was a fine call, but I wish since you saw me go out in punt coverage you'd at least call a timeout and give me a chance to run my defensive players out onto the field on what was essentially the last stand of the game.

I'd just called a timeout right before after letting the play clock tick down. If I'd called another one it would've been a 5 yard penalty (the Joe Gibbs special). In fact I'm not even sure Madden will let you call another timeout there (this wouldn't have been a good spot to find out).

I was hoping you'd see from me being in the run formation before the timeout that I was going for it, or at least wait to see what I was calling the 2nd time around. I could have paused and PMed you I guess, but I figured you could see I was going for it.

Quick stat recap:

Today it was all about the Jets D. After much talk leading up to the game, Ross was held to just around 30 yards heading into the 4th quarter. He ripped off a 20+ yarder followed by a 10, which I believe led to the final FG of the game for NE and a full TD lead. So major drive there and Ross showed up when he needed to most.

His opposite, Greene, was more pathetic. 48 yards and a TD. His lone bright spot was a 12 yard TD run. Powell showed once again he can be an effective change of pace back, getting 22 yards on just 3 carries but he fumbled his longest run of the day putting a damper on what he was able to offer.

Sanchez did what he needed to do. He only went 6 for 12, but he found Keller open for a number of 1st downs that saved plenty of drives. When the run game stalled and couldn't pick up the first, he stepped up. His one blemish, that INT to a fucking end, won't be held against him.

As already mentioned, the D was the bright spot. Nothing fancy (2 sacks, 1 INT), but they contained a beast of a RB in Ross for most of the game and led the TFL category. (So maybe I'm the one nano blitzing!! JK :))

A tough loss, but a well fought out game. I didn't expect to win this one on the road, but after 10-0 start with the ball at halftime AND with such a slow paced game I figured I was the odds on favorite. John Madden had other plans and a couple of turnovers in the 2nd half, as well as the Pats 1st drive of the half sparked a comeback and the W. GG BV.

Very true. As I said, it was certainly on me and my impatience. It would have been a tough comeback given Sanchez's abilities and the weather conditions. I would have been nice to try though! I didn't think about the 2 TO penalty. Obviously that wouldn't be worth taking there and making your life more difficult.

New England Patriots 17 - New York Jets 10

The Patriots narrowly escaped their bitter rival New York Jets at home in a blinding rainstorm (what else is new?). Both defenses brought their A game in this one, as it was very difficult for either side to sustain much offense all game. The Jets outgained the Patriots 145-131, but neither side got more than 100 running or passing. The Jets lead 10-0 at halftime on a Folk kick and a Greene run. The Patriots got within 3 early in the 3rd with a short Brady pass to Julian Thomas. The defining play of the game was when Jermaine Cunningham made an acrobatic pick of Mark Sanchez and took it 22 yards to the house to put the Pats ahead. Gostkowski kicked a FG just under the two minutes to go. On the ensuing drive, Bilal Powell fumbled away the football and the Pats were able to get the one first down they needed to win. The Pats move to 5-0 with the win, while the Jets drop to 3-2.

Tom Brady was 4 of 5 for 69 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Mark Sanchez was 6 of 12 for 71 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT.

Cobie Ross carried 14 times for 60 yards, though he did have a couple nice runs late to set up the late FG. Green-Ellis added 4 carries for 7 yards.

Shonn Greene carried 18 times for 48 yards and a TD, while Bilal Powell had 3 for 22, but the costly fumble late. John Conner had 2 carries for 4 yards, both 1st downs.

Rob Gronkowski had 2 catches for 63 yards, while fellow TE Julian Thomas vultured the TD on his only catch. Vince Wilfork was somehow credited with a 12 yard reception, which I believe was actually Welker. I know I confuse the two all the time.

Same basic guy.

Keller did most of the damage for the Jets, with 4 catches for 52 yards (all 4 for first downs if I'm not mistaken)

The Pats had the aforementioned Cunningham pick as well as the forced fumble by Rahim Moore (who's been a turnover machine for the Pats) which was recovered by Guyton.

The Jets got a pick my Moch and sacked Brady twice (though both times after his intended receiver slipped. fucking Gronk, stay on your feet!)

gg uber! I'm definitely fortunate to come away with this one, but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. There was some serious defense played in this one, hopefully our next game is a bit drier.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot! The Human Bowling Ball Samson Fields (99 speed, 5'8" 224 pounds) took over as the primary punt returner in the absence of The Human Dropped Wine Glass Darius Holmes and actually had a couple of nice punt returns, including a 21 yarder.

His in-game model still remains disappointingly non-obese.

Nice to see all the former Broncos thriving.

PS: it's Julius Thomas ;) just trying to keep the locker room chemistry up.

As of this week I'm 4th in the league for 3rd down conversion and murdamode's defensive is 4th in stopping it. Thought that was kinda cool lol
We play next week btw
Well really this league has been one big Drew Brees experiment. Jackson is back to basics for me.

All Pre-Madden 12 conversations have gone....

Are you black? Can you run fast? Ok you're my Quarterback

I think in Madden 11 my teams played went- 35% Eagles (Vick) 50% Titans (Vince Young) 10% Patriots (You Know) and 5% if I ever felt like changing it up.
smh on this comment martin Luther king day just passed

CARDINALS 24 - PACKERS 3

Tarvaris Jackson led Arizona to a Win in his first start, breaking Drew Brees' 4 game losing streak.

My defense stepped up and held Aaron Rodgers to under 30 yards and were holding a shutout until a 4th quarter 60 yard pass to Jermichael Finley set up the Packs 3 points.

Tarvaris was 5-6 for 53 yards. And the Cards 3 backs combined for 186 yards rushing and 3 TD's.

J. STarks got 42 yards on 8 attempts and Rodgers passed 5 for 11 with two INT's and a fumble.

I think I'm done with this league I would like to finish this season but I don't think I'm going to be able to

You're 3-2, why would you leave now?
Why do people quit the league after they play me lol
Good question, that's two in a row now. Stop knocking out league members! ;)
Probably because you are killin' it with Kolb.
cover the running back hess and its game on... imma whip ur ass ballhawk ;)

No, it's definitely not your fault. I don't understand why people would quit the league after one bad game, especially if it's against a good opponent. If I quit the league every time Doom beat me, I would have left ten times already.

It's especially baffling since Tanabeo is having his best season yet.

After sleeping on it I will stick around but I will not play the saints again someone can sub for me or he can just play the cpu.
After sleeping on it I will stick around but I will not play the saints again someone can sub for me or he can just play the cpu.
Care to explain why?

Damn thats two members lost in less than a week!

Maybe I wasn't so wrong about only having 3 seasons after all :)

-Personally I can't imagine quitting, it's only a couple hours of commitment a week.

Quick Question BV, Can I quick sub in Brees when I kneel for a win so Tarvaris doesn't lose a precious few rushing yards, and bring his avg per rush attempt way down?

Sending the x-box message in that case seems excessive.

I guess you can if you want, though that seems pretty silly.

Drew Brees as human victory cigar? The man is not Brian Scalabrine. ;)

I didn't have my capture card hook up so I will not go throwing stuff around I just will not play someone that plays like he does I have to much time and money in this league.

Your not the only one to take a whooping my friend, it has happened to me at least three times in the last two seasons...once by ballhawk....sometimes you just get beat in this game and it can obviously get ugly when things don't roll your way.

Honestly, vague assertions are probably worse than just coming out and saying what you had a problem with.

I'm assuming the major complaint is more than just that he's really good at throwing the ball. That much is clear from looking at his box scores.
