And your schedule doesn't get much easier with 5 quality teams remaining. You know, you're not far off from being 9-0. All close games.
Yeah, but on the other side of the coin I'm also not far off from being 1-8 haha. I think it's time to open up my offensive playbook. The running game works enough against some, but it's too conservative vs most.

NYG - 38
DET - 35

Good game Sprice, it just went back and forth. Neither D could stop the O of the opposing team and it just came down to me getting 2 TOs on Sprice, while not turning the ball over myself in probably the first time in my short tenure in this league.

My pass rush and coverage was a joke all game. Damn, Sprice can spread and shred on defenses.

Giants move to 5-5 and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Speaking of records and schedules, I'm not feeling bad at 4-5 but man it sucks that I blew some close ones and games otherwise I could have won. I could easily be 6-3, but just made little mistakes. I'm still in a decent position to make a late season surge, but getting much above .500 is going to be difficult.

Oh, I contacted the Steelers about our game too. Hoping to play tomorrow.

yea gg... defense struggles as usual and the slants were killing me then it was the sweeps then it was that deep corner route... i tried man i tried every fucking zone coverage then i throw a pick before halftime then stafford fumbles... terrible defensive play on my side to... i didnt know wut to do....all i could think of is hurry up offense try to score and hope u screw up which u didnt.... hopefully i see u in the playoffs that hurt more the my 32 to 7 loss to the bears

Same here on D..I tried tons of different coverages. No matter what I threw out, you read it and beat it. I couldn't even get through with any pass rush when coverages obviously weren't going to hold up. You kept a nice mix of short, medium and long strikes that kept me guessing on making sure I just didn't give up a huge play. And when you're playing D just hoping to not give up a big play, you're screwed anyhow.

Tried PM'ing Matt Young but his inbox is full here is the message:

You and I are matched up this week, I'm rather free today, I do plan on going out a little later but not until around 5 est. I should be back by 8 or so...

Tomorrow is no good for me and I'd have to check about tuesday...

Game of the Week Pats-Dolphins kicking off shortly.

Huge game, especially for the Dolphins. Patriots likely put a stranglehold on the AFC East with a win here. Should be a good one!

Superstar disregard the private message I sent, I didnt know we had advanced , to my next opponent I should be around today at about 6 pm ish

I'm going to try to get on XBL as early as possible but n8rockerasu is wanting to play early in the afternoon as well and that deadline is tomorrow. I'll figure it out.

New England Patriots 28 - Miami Dolphins 21

The Patriots traveled to Miami and won their first matchup of the season with the Dolphins in a see-saw battle which wasn't settled until the final seconds.

The Patriots defense got off to a hot start when Rahim Moore picked Newcomer off on the first Dolphins possession and took it back for 6. The Dolphins shook it off and drove the length of the field on the next drive, culminating with a Bolton TD run. On the Pats next drive, Brady was sacked (on a 2 step drop!) and fumbled, which the Dolphins recovered for 6 to give them a 14-7 lead after one.

Brady shook off the fumble and came out on the next drive and found Demaryius Thomas on a beautiful crossing route in double coverage, which Thomas then took 52 yards to the house, juking several defenders in the process. The Dolphins put together another nice drive close to the end zone with 8 seconds left, but Asante Samuel picked off Newcomer in the endzone to keep the score tied at the half.

After a Patriots punt to open the 3rd, the Dolphins struck first in the second half, with Newcomer connecting with Cousins to return the lead to the Dolphins as the 3rd expired.

Brady answered back quickly, finding Roddy White on a quick slant which he took 75 yards for a score. The Dolphins were then driving again when Samuel got his second pick of the day. The Patriots were in good position to drive it down and kick a winning FG, but Cobie Ross finally got loose on a 38 yard TD run with 1:11 remaining. The Dolphins got the ball back at the 14 with 86 yards to go and 1 timeout. They drove into Patriots territory, but Newcomer's 4th pick of the day, this time to Jonny Kohlhausen, sealed the victory for the Patriots.

Brady only threw the ball six times, but completed all six for 194 yards and 2 TDs, averaging 32.3 yards per completion.

Newcomer threw it TWENTY six times, completing 18 for 282 yards and 1 TD, but added the 4 brutal picks.

Cobie Ross continued his struggles. Though his final line was respectable: 11 for 58, 1 TD, most of that came on his 38 yard TD late. He was held to two ypc otherwise.

Leading NFL rusher Antavio Bolton was even worse though, carrying 14 times for 31 yards and a TD. Newcomer himself had 3 carries for 41 yards.

Roddy White's one 75 yard TD catch made him the Patriots leading receiver. Demaryius Thomas had 66 yards and the other TD, while Gronk (1 catch) and Welker (0 catches) were mostly quiet.

Khiry Cousins was the leading receiver for the Dolphins with 6 catches for 84 yards and a score. Marshall and Lofton each had 62 yards, while Hardaway had 71.

The Patriots D had the four huge picks, and also sacked Newcomer three times (including one where Cameron Wake planted his former teammate for a huge loss).

Randy Starks got two more sacks, including a strip sack, to add to his NFL lead.

With the win, the Patriots move to 9-1 and put a stranglehold on the AFC East. The Dolphins fall to 6-4, but are still very much in the playoff hunt.

Cason might be the DPOW
Congrads DVO. You have had a lot of bad luck so far this year. Good to see a game go your way finally (no offense to Indy).
ya its nice to fianlly get win had alot of close games this year go the other way on me and then some other game just go horribly wrong. i just hope this game turns the season around i know its to late for the playoffs but it would be nice to atleast end strong

I hope Bill Bellichick signs up Reggie Wayne for a couple years. He seems like an ideal fit for the Patriots. With the acquisition of wayne, cutting of Ochocinco, re-signing of Welker, along with a nice draft in April....The Patriots will be back in the Big Game next February.
-GG DVO...i couldnt get a pick for the life of me 12 deflections.... i definitely need to hit the practice field.
They count those as fumbles?
I guess so, I wwasnnt even ready for it it was like a 60yd attempt I was in punt return thinkin he'd punt.

I don't see why u wouldn't use brees. We should have worked out a locker for brees swap. Locker would be perfect for you, and brees perfect for me. It is nice being able to escape pressure with qquick qb's, but it sucks when they can't hit wide open targets at 10 yards. Brees just does not miss. If the guys open its a completion with him. With guys like locker, u just never know when that wild throw is gonna happen.

I will make myself available when I get off work tonight around midnight est...I am PM'ing this as well, assuming you're box has been cleared. My availability will be the same on Tuesday...

Someone is behind the times. Brees has been starting in AZ for 3 weeks now.

But I like Locker and I'm open to suggestions in the off-season. Maybe something with that MLB of yours?

All the more reason to play tonight. :D

This is actually a really good point, I think a thursday advance wouldn't be crazy given the circumstances. But I'm single so I don't give a shit.

Still waiting on a responce from Cru for playing tonight.

We advanced on Saturday, so waiting until Thursday is just way too long. People had all day yesterday (with no football) as well as tonight to get their games in. Valentine's Day isn't an excuse. ;)

Anybody know how available Cru has been this season then?
I saw he posted yesterday, but I have no responce from him.

Would like to know if we need someone to sub, for him OR me. Since I'm only available for a few hours tonight, and a few hours late PST tomorrow night.

Can one of Cru's friends send him a text to see if he's available tonight?

I am indifferent. I knew I would not be available on VDay, so set up our game early. However, that isnt always possible for everyone, so basically that only gives them 2 days to schedule something. I won't lose any sleep if we delay one extra day and advance Wed night instead. But I get the need to keep pushing forward too.

give me a time frame ill text him

If your wife/gf/gay lover is into valentines day find a new one. Maybe I'm lucky but flowers, a card, and cooking dinner is enough for her.

Stupid ass Hallmark holidays

Great advice, I just ended up ten year marriage after reading this. To think, I thought everything was going great too.

No way I am breaking up with my gay lover though, I don't care what you say.

:D I should've put the winking smiley in there. That was by no means serious. My wife likes getting flowers at work blah blah blah we just don't care to go out wait four hours to eat and do all of that crap.

We just agreed a long time ago not to make a big deal out of a corporate holiday, to each their own.

From 4:30 to 5:00 pm PST tonight. or from 8:00 pm PST for the rest of the night tonight.

I have a JV league playoff game at 6:30 that I have to work around.

But if those don't work, let me know and maybe I can push the JV game earlier or back.

Thanks Sprice
