so what ever happened to brady being on the move?
Negotiations are ongoing. Might have something to announce soon, might not. Depends more on the other team at this point. ;)

The shop's not closed up if someone else wants to swoop in with an offer.
Looks like the NFC West rivalry is heating up.
if this draft goes the way i want it to, there is no NFC West rivalry... it'll be San Francisco and everyone else :D

i'd love a brady rental but i feel like i owe it to locker. all his throwing attributes went up n are right around 90. i have high expectations for locker this season, for the whole team as well. superbowl or bust...
...and then they all finished 7-9.
anything less than 11-5 is a failure for the 49ers

Sydney Rice was gone and Ray Rice had 20 yards last time we played

Mega Super Blockbuster Trade for Review:

New England Patriots
:
QB Tom Brady (99 OVR, 37, A Pot)
ROLB Rob Ninkovich (77 OVR, 31, B Pot)

for

Cleveland Browns:
QB Colt McCoy (87 OVR, 28, A Pot)
CB Cornel Patrick (81 OVR, 23, A Pot)
LOLB Kaluka Maiava (60 OVR, 27, C Pot)
Browns 1st round pick (#9)

The best QB in the game is moving to the AFC North. This was a very hard decision to make, but ultimately I decided I'm ready for a new challenge as we enter season 4, and seeing if I can win with someone other than Brady is a huge one.

I was hesitant to move him for sure, but I got a package from the Browns I'm really excited about. Patrick was a 1st round pick last season but didn't progress at all, so along with the #9 pick it's basically like getting two 1st rounders (and obviously I'm hoping he will progress in Season 5). McCoy obviously can't make all the throws Brady can make (which is ALL the throws), but his short to intermediate passing is quite strong, and that fits my game very well. The linebackers were added to the deal later since UMX wanted to beef up his LB corps.

Well, let's get this going... :D

I've already discussed this deal with a few people who got a bit of a preview on it, and I'm pretty confident it's fair. As I posted yesterday, Brady has not regressed at all and remains indisputably the best QB in the game. Here's the proof:

Vick's gonna juke him out of his socks faster than you can say "What you talking about Patrick Willis?"

Patriots/Browns trade looks good. Will the #12 be retired in New England?

I'm pretty sure McCoy wears #12 as well. Maybe I'll take your suggestion and retire 12 and give him something else. ;)

just got off the phone with the Bay Area Beast and he says Vick should look into taking out a couple life insurance policies... his family is gonna need the money to pay the authorities for picking Vick up off the field piece by piece ;)

nah... Ken Wisenhunt will be claiming Patrick Willis used some kind of explosive device when he hit Vick and blew him up so there will have to be an investigation...

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS SEASON. Is it Sunday yet?

Not to derail the smack talk, but there's a rather hefty trade on the table which needs discussing.

Although given the usual reaction to my trades, maybe I should take silence as a blessing. ;)
Hey LV this isn't Madden 2004. You shoulda kept Brees

Vick City pssssh more like strip city. Hope you stay close to the sidelines.
Yea Brees did alot for me. Tjak took down the Seahawks, and now Vick will do the same. No overtime games or split series this season Staticz.

Cardinals are going 2-0 against the Seahawks.

Not to be outdone by the dealing of Tom Brady, the San Francisco 49ers continue the changing of the guard with a deal spurred by the missed chance at the Browns' #9 pick...

San Francisco sends TE Vernon Davis (32, A, 99 OVR) and their 2nd rd pick to Philadelphia for the Eagles' #4 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft...

Message to NFC West foes: Game. Set. Match :D
Soo ubernes i sent u a pm about the draft and i get nO reaponse glad every player has an imput on this draft ... Wtf
I think a huge majority is input enough. And you shouldn't have any expectations when you don't even check up on the thread or your pm's for days (since this draft is apparenly news to you).

@Deuce: I don't exactly see how you trading one of the best players on your team is bad for me.

----- But that trade seems good for both of you, I approve.

I think the Eagles are making out like bandits in that deal, but Deuce clearly has some diabolical master plan in place so I suppose I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

i actually agree that he's getting a steal but i figured i wont need the second rd pick since i got 3 first rounders now and i couldnt really find anything i wanted on his team so the pick is good enough for me

Gotta say no to this. Eagles need to add a lot. Similar trade just happened for Brandon Marshall. Jags gave up the #1 and #32 for a similar player. Davis is arguably more versatile and the 49ers are sending picks with him. I don't like it.

i can replace Vernon's production. the bad part for yall is who gets drafted to the Niners at #4 :D

I'm sorry but you just said you worked til 930. There's a couple others who can't do 9 either but the majority can. There's 32 people in the league. I can't move the draft to 10pm just because of two people.

I agree with this assessment.

Yeah, so I pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 from Newegg (where I've pre-ordered from many time). I get home today and the package is waiting for me. Excitedly I tear into it and find a copy of... Madden 12. :bomb:

Edit: Looks like everyone who pre-ordered through Newegg when they had their $47.99 deal got a copy of Madden 12. Maybe we'll be getting some new members.

Its just that this is exactly whta happend to me last draft just sucks that we cnt move it 30 mins later i know no one u would really care that much cause just think if they were in my situation they would try and do the same thing

I'm fine with this trade

I start work at 10 p.m. though :( As the draft stands now, I'll only be able to draft for the first 2 rounds probably. For every person who benefits from the draft starting later, there is gonna be someone who gets hurt by it.

I agree with what staticz said about the Vernon trade...if we put through the Marshall trade, then we have to apply the same standard to this trade. If the difference was minimal then it wouldn't be a big deal...but Philly is getting significantly more AND giving significantly less than what the Jags gave for a player who is comparable to Marshall.

Yea but it kind of seemed like DVO was shopping those picks to everyone, and everyone knew it. So the fact that someone took the trade and DVO was really eager for it to happen, makes things a little different IMO. DVO offering them to everyone kind of devalued those picks (if that makes sense).

But if we hold The Eagles/49ers trade up to that as the standard, it is unfair.

I don't see it that way. Miami will get one really good player and someone who has a chance to be good for one elite player. Philly is getting an elite player and someone who might be good for one very good player.

We shouldn't base a trade's fairness on how eager a person is to get rid of a certain player or pick. A trade should be fair on its own merits so that we don't have teams getting stacked in the league. Two HBs aren't a necessity in Madden, so if the Panthers (with 2 great running backs) really wanted to trade Jonathan Stewart or something, we shouldn't be accepting a 3rd round pick for him just cause he's eager to trade him. I don't understand the point about picks getting devalued just because he offered it to everyone...then anyone who has ever posted a trade block has devalued their players just cause they're letting everyone know they're available.

Aern't we now re-evaluating the Philly/San Fran trade, not on it's own merits, but on how it compares to the Brandon Marshall trade.

If the Brandon Marshall trade hadn't happened. Would this one have just gotten agreed with like that one did?

No. Let's base this on projected overalls -

SF sends:
Vernon Davis - 99 A pot
2nd round pick - mid 70s A/B POT

Eagles Send:
#4 pick mid 80s A pot

Does that still look like a fair deal?

Haha I'd like to clarify that I don't think it's fair (when I first read it and commented I thought Deuce was sending a 4th).

I guess I was just arguing against the arguments as to why it wasn't fair.

And I want Davis out of SF.... Carry on guys.

Well one more. Davis is pretty old, top 5 picks become 90's in a year and TE isn't exactly the most important position. (Even if it is one of the best Tight Ends).

Make the 2nd a 4th or a 5th maybe?
